Sorry to put my two cents in, but I think one of the reasons, sadly, many people don't use RB is *not* because of what they've heard about the IDE, but because of the reaction of some very experienced people -- the "sages", if you will, of RB -- who should be expected to be objective, and offer sound, expert advise when a problem arises, but instead react with anger and defensiveness when the product is criticized in virtually any way, or worse, ignore the folks making the criticism as if they're too stupid or annoying to know what they're talking about. It is exactly the newbies who will find this first -- and they're the ones who tell others about their experience.

I wouldn't label myself as a "sage", but I too am tired of wading through the complaints. I used to answer people's questions here on the NUG as often as I could. Since the RB2005 release, the NUG feels like it has been 80% whiner / complainer posts. It is not worth my time to wade through the unproductive complaints to find people's honest questions. On the other hand, while I don't like forums as much, I have been answering more questions there because the complaining has been kept to a minimum. Practically every product has bugs, RB is no exception. We're all here to help each other (I assume), so instead of ranting about an issue one is having, state the issue at hand and ask for help. Rant at the customer service department.
