The problem has disappeared for me too, over time. These problems are the
worst you can have, since they are virtually impossible to reproduce, coming
and going as they do.
I first noticed the problem on my PC (Windows XP), I then set out to test my
projects on Windows Vista, and went back to XP (reinstalling my PC each
time), I forgot all about it, but was reminded once again by this thread,
only to find that now the problem is no longer existing for me, on Windows
XP (X64).

I have now moved back to the PPC R4 IDE and now I only have 4 files in
that directory when the IDE is launched and the project is run.
