Looks like perhaps it was unable to write to the current directory as your
user. The real error was masked by a bug in setup-repo, which I'll get
fixed for the release.

Name-based lookups are a different issue. I hope to have a release within
the next few hours. Trying to write out the release notes and do all the
prep now.
