Thanks for the advice guys. I've bought the 500GB Drive today so should be here ready for the weekend. I understand that it may not all fit but I can get another one next payday if necessary (plus I'm pretty sure there will be some E-Baying as well as Archiving going on for the CD's that I no longer want in any form for whatever reason) Regarding backup you are of course correct...but I might just wing it at first and get another drive as and when funds allow (something I would never dream of doing in my job as an IT manager!!)
