When ripping a 1600+ CD collection, I used the opportunity to cull a lot of tracks I didn't really care for. I was getting 4 or 5 CDs per GB of drive space, and the result is that I rarely have to dive for the remote during Random Play because all the "never want to hear this again" tracks were left out of the library.
