I am working on the overall plan to get my husband's vast CD collection playable with the Squeezebox duet. I've been reading through all the posts here and in the Beginner's forum, and I feel like I've learned that dbpoweramp and FLAC lossless are ideal for Squeezebox and for people like my husband who are trying to preserve a large and well-loved music collection.
But, I'm hoping that someone out there can give me feedback about our specific situation.... 1. He has about 700 CDs already ripped, largely in the AAC format in iTunes (oops?). They were mostly ripped using the iTunes software. What has to happen for those to be fully useable with Squeezebox duet? 2. He has another 300 CDs or so that have not yet been ripped. Given that he will want to be able to access them on his iPod AND use them with Squeezebox duet, what is the best format to use? 3. More generally, do people have advice about using iTunes/iPod and squeezebox? I will greatly appreciate any advice! -- what_to_buy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ what_to_buy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19555 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51538 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
