No, that's not as simple, but it isn't terribly difficult, either. If you intermix the lossy with the lossless, then your mirroring script can just copy those lossy files with no transcoding. If you don't intermix them, you might do it with multiple folder trees: /flac /mp3 /aac /mp3mirror Set up SqueezeCenter with an empty music folder and then place shortcuts to the /flac, /mp3 and /aac folders in the music folder. Point iTunes at the /mp3, /aac and /mp3mirror folders.
