Hmm, me an audiophile. I don't know. I just enjoy my music and like to hear as much of it as possible. I bought my 2 channel stereo 20+ years ago. I spent 6 months "auditioning" components and speakers in my home. I used 5 or 6 CD's I considered to be engineered well and also to be the type of music I like to listen to. All systems won't play all types of music equally. Anyway, much to my wife's surprise, over the years, I really did quit buying and selling equipment once I was satisfied with what I had. Not the place for this, but I've been shooting a lot longer than listening to music critically. I wouldn't consider shooting anyting less than RAW unless I really didn't care about the quality of my photographs. While I've pretty much given up trying to sell enough pictures to make a living (would never do weddings) I still consider my "negatives" of the utmost importance and like the ability to be able to make adjustments that can't be made to a jpg..ie:exposure, color balance, etc.. Again, if you spend the time to make your photos pop, and if you think it's necessary, then you know that nothing short of RAW will allow you to accomplish that in a much higher percentage of times than any other file type. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: _DSC1035small.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=8393| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- Howard Passman Can I go home now? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Howard Passman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16674 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69548 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
