Indeed (I was of the impression that you had only tried with EAC). Maybe it could be worth trying with cdparanoia directly though, as to eliminate any corner cases possibly not handled by Rubyripper. Does the cd play back on the computer? What if you try ripping only some specific track, e.g. no. 5?
