I realize this might be a little different, but just some FYI. I work with lots of computers. It's simply a fact that CD's and/or DVD's created on some computers just cannot be read on selected other computers (and I'm not speaking of basic compatibility issues here). Just seems to be the way it is. Not sure if it's tracking issues, manufacturing issues, laser problems, whatever - though I will say the problem is generally consistent and reproducible.
So, bottom line, that you may not be able to rip a particular disk on a particular computer isn't all that uncommon.
