My solution to the problem you're describing in the past was to use EAC in its burst mode. Of course, the problem with that is you lose all the error checking ability of EAC, but that is what is causing the problem for you.
My solution to that concern is that I will often rip the same track multiple times in burst mode (goes really fast) and make sure the files compare (checksums).
