Phil, you and I both agree that this bug is best fixed in the browsing code, for lots of reasons.
but i don't understand why you think its a bad idea to have things that match the SBS VA naming option string be treated as if they had a comp=1 tag. (erlands patch) other than the niche case where someone might have "Various Artists" (or whatever the string is) as their AA/A values that in fact aren't comps, what other functional problem (other than inefficient code) is there? frankly, i don't see the niche case as reason not to do it, since afterall, they would be hidden as well! and with the patch, at least it would be seen, even if it were also in "the wrong place." if they were really bothered, they could either change the option string, or add comp=0 tags for that niche case. seems to me that scenario is FAR MORE desirable than the one we have now.
