Ah! Got 'cha.

Yup, I see what you're saying now, and would agree.

As for middle sized trains and "operation":  My eventual "hope", is to have 
a dedicated building about 12' x 24'.  Into that would go the last layout 
(in my lifetime).  O inside that would very much be a caracature.  S scale 
could do well.

Now, IF I stick it out with S... and make acceptable progress... by the time 
I am ready to tackle the larger room, I should have a good start on the 
equipment and supporting cast needed for The Biggie.

HOWEVER...

Was talking with the wife tonight.  I consider this little layout to be my 
LITMUS TEST.  That is, if I don't have the gumption and drive to get 
something built in here to a fair degree of completion... then there will 
NOT be any more $$ expended for a larger room. Period.

It's this simple: Time for me to poop or get off the pot, in a manner of 
speaking. <g>
