Well Andre, HO would solve most of your problems both
in small hobby room and pretty much anything you
"need" available, although a line like KCS might still
need decaling. O scale would seem to be a space
problem for you, plus unless you KNOW you can get all
the equipment you need, they are still closer to S
than HO in availability. You could copy a leaf for Ed'
L's book, trade off what On30 you have accumulated for
kit building and decaling services from other
modelers. I'm sure you could find come competent
builders/painters in On30 who would be willing to
paint and decal your KCS SW or puild a couple of PRS
kits for an On30 loco or a couple of cars.... If not,
you can usually find a way to trade cash money for
time/energy in the same fashion.
