Maybe I am missing something here. But I do not think that removing
numbers from RTR items is really that hard. Plus, the beauty of "S" is
the fractional number decals are easily used as they are most likely the
correct size. S Helper Service did offer additional numbers for the
first run of PS2s. As successful as that project might have been, the
number decals were not. We still have hundreds of decal sets left in
stock. We quit making them as we assumed that a "scale" modeler if they
wanted additional numbers on cars would just change them.

.....Some time ago I suggested they produce freight cars without numbers
and include numeral decals to encourage fleets of similar cars.
