Along the same lines, but more seriously, what I would like to see produced is a partial tie plate with appropriate spikes molded on that one could slide up to the rail to provide detail on hand laid track. The tie plates available now are too tedious to install and spike down (for me anyway). Styrene would be a plus so that solvent cement could be used for attachment as opposed to ACC needed for resin (Tomalco makes resin tie plates that I have tried). Roger Nulton

What the world needs now is plastic spikes. No more short circuits. Just think, if only ten packages of 100 were sold, there is a THOUSAND right there. What other S product can offer this kind of sales volume? And the tooling expense is minimal. I mean, after all, it is just a spike. And modelers will be down on their knees expressing gratitude.
