Hi all ---

This has been a banner week on the SLE&P.

After some horse trading and a lot of money spent, two new RRM steam locos
have been added to the roster and two removed. The painted stuff is taking
over, and the unpainted stuff is becoming less of the total!

I also started building my version of Bill Wade's Cabin Creek Coal tipple,
starting with his kit but adding/subtracting parts to make it a coal prep
plant and ng to sg transfer facility. Now I can start laying out the
tracks that will service it and finish off the NW corner of the layout. I
also want to let everyone know that Bill's lazer cutting is excellent.
This is my first lazer cut kit (yes, I tend to jump into the deep end). The
pieces almost snap together and everything fits where it is supposed to.
They are a bit pricey, but the time saved in getting a model done makes it
all worthwhile. I highly recommend his kits!

I have also been doing some wiring (!!!), my least favorite but most
effective part of layout construction. I might actually have this whole
thing running someday!

Hope everyone has recuperated from the convention and is getting things
done, also.

Have fun!
