Hi Dave; No, my point was some people want all the parts, plans and instructions neatly packaged in a box with pictures of what the model should look like. How many of us go to great lengths to modify a kit into a different model, often to the point that starting from scratch might be easier! Just a quirk of human nature, I suppose.
Some of the same issue exists with parts as with kits. There are certainly some parts not available in S, but a vendor who isn't very familiar with the existing S market and decides to make parts essentially the same as those already available, or parts that are not in demand (say, very modern commercial windows when the number of modern modelers is relatively small) will not be successful.
