"BUILDING" models is what makes us modelers... not taking highly-compromised (in the prototype accuracy departent) RTR assemblies out of the box and dropping them on the rails. But if you're not into Flat Panel kits, how about CORE kits with add-on side-panels, etds, roofs, etc? Same concept, but the core could speed up assembly... especially for people like my buddy, Bill Lane, who hates working with plastic for a few minutes, but will glad spend hours with brass. <Elbow to Bill's rib cage> Man... I sure wish we had something like the old RED CABOOSE (HO) kits in S. Jim King's kits are close, but not factory painted like the Red Caboose kits were. I LOVED putting those kits together.
