Yes, it's good advice to stay focused on academics and internships. However, 15 to 16yr old Jeff maybe an above average student and not interested in what his peers are doing, and have extra energy to burn.
That being said, I initially looked at "S" scale in late 1980's but only started modeling in earnest 20years later. Jeff, we're happy to have you. But we will also be here after college as well. That's the beauty of the hobby in general, and "S" scale in particular. Best regards, Dennis H. Northern NJ --- In [email protected], "scale S only" <scalesonly@...> wrote: > > Excellent advice! Spend the time building your resume. Maybe join clubs or intern or get part time jobs related to the fields of your interest. A good paying future job is gonna be a lot more important to your future success as a model railroader than any thing you can model in the next two years. If you want to do a little modeling find someone nearby with a layout that could use your occasional help or join a local club (doesn't matter if it's HO or N for now as modeling is modeling).. > dave (branum) ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
