I've been assembling structures and preparing to extent the layout to the lower
level. Now that I'm cranked up, I was asked to come back to work. No problem,
now I have the money to buy what I need :o)
Structures: I completed the American Model Builders Branchline Depot. They
supply roll roofing, but 3 tab shingles were more typical in Maine, so I used
BTS shingles and detail parts. Next is the Showcase Miniatures Citrus Packing
Shed. The instructions are quite poor, so I relied heavily on Peter Vanvliet's
web site for the missing details. He has been most helpful in making changes
to his site to allow me to print the necessary pages. It's coming along nicely.
Layout: I ordered more Homabed from California Roadbed Co. As soon as it
arrives I'll be able to construct the gate accross the doorway of my trailer.
I've already moved my workbench inside the house for the Winter. That made it
much easier to resume layout construction as now there is nothing in the way.
