After reading the numerous suggestions, opinions and miscellaneous related
to this thread, as a past NASG officer it would be great to have a few of
those authors step forward and volunteer to HELP WITH THE NATIONAL
ASSOCIATION OF S GAUGERS. Your input on this list is appreciated, but PUT
YOUR WORDS INTO ACTION.
NASG is one of the few gauges/scales with a full complement of elected and
appointed officers -- there is no specific O Scale, G Scale, HO or N
Scale national organization. TTOS (or LOTS) has an executive director who
is PAID. -- NASG is all volunteer. And VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!! NASG
elections are held every two years -- it would be great to have those with
the suggestions and opinions step forward and submit your name to one of the
NASG offices!! The officer/committee chairmen can be found at nasg.org or
in The Dispatch (when space permits).
The officers and chairmen are all volunteers -- none are
paid. If you feel you would like to see some changes in the organization,
VOLUNTEER!! The board meets annually at the National Convention to review
the year and convene a general Membership meeting. I would like to see
more members at the Convention. How bout it? Step to the plate and become
involved -- be you a scaler, hi- railer or American Flyer person.
BTW the 2012 National S Gauge Convention will be August
7-11 at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel, Tennessee. www.nasg2012.com Will
you be there? And bring some of those excellent models seen here on the
List - win a prize for your efforts!!
