Yes Pieter, the intellectual property part of copying anything bothers 
me too  (I do bring out my IP lawyer when reasoning fails).  However, it 
seems like many are doing it without any lawsuits from the original 
manufacturers--perhaps they don't care.  I would feel certain that if 
you purchased a HO model then expanded it, most would be okay with it 
since the manufacturer would have made his money.  I would hope that 
individuals doing several copies for sale would seek permission or even 
arrange for some kind of commission on the sales.  I actually think this 
would be a great way of utilizing the work already being done by 
companies in other scales work for us with a financial benefit to them 
also.  Typically called a win-win!
