What's not to like is the life of re-chargeable batteries.

With a limited number of locomotives and no wiring to contend with, I can 
understand it very well.  We're talking no wiring, no frog juicers, no shorts, 
no track cleaning....  What's not to like?  My main concern is that I have 
mostly small locos and very much doubt if I could get the battery, decoder, and 
charging circuit in.
