Another advantage of battery power is that plastic track could be used. Think
of the cost savings and ease of installation of injection-molded mass-produced
turnouts with phenomenal detailing. But when the batteries corrode while
trains are stored/idle, the cost savings might vaporize. Just thinking.....Ed
