Hi SaligaoNetters,

Nobody is talking on this Net, I just noticed. Guess everybody has said it all before or they are too busy ..... Now it's a question of racing to the finish line to get "Broadband". Good luck to you all.

Well some of the talk talk talk resulted in getting quite a few things done some of the time. So talk is not bad most of the time.

From: "Albert Desouza" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I was using kerosene lamps at home while my cousins had bright tube lights in Bombay and we >always envied them and it was only when our beloved Jose Cordeiro was the sarpanch that they

Yes that is right, I remember that very well. We were Africa-returned & had brought along with us a fridge that ran on kerosene... my granny gave us to understand that electricity would get to us on doomsday,(huh!) those were her words in a letter penned to Dad. (I'm sure she was of the same opinion as Albert - nobody will do anything, just snore together). A pity, as we sold off our lovely Kelvinator fridge before getting to Goa. What's the solution then? If we stay quiet & snore, things dont get done, if we talk talk talk, things dont get done!

dear Hubert D'Souza Fr.Desmond's father way back in 1963 wanted to start small scale industries >for the people of saligao but there was

Oh I wasnt there then (& even if I was, I would be too small to bother my head about such projects) but that was a good vision he had, what a pity it could not be realised. But I do remember both gentlemen very well during my frequent trips to Arrarim & the Saligao Institute in the 70's.

You all must be snoozing & snoring, it being a Sunday. Relax! for it's back to the grindstone tomorrow.

Ta ra
Annette
