Wow! In a nutshell! Well put!
Wish Mario & Muriel had sent their posting first or that I had waited a
while. But I had itchy fingers & time at my disposal.
Right explanation & justification which I wasnt able to provide since I
attended only one meeting of the SCCC & since I'm not in Saligao. The
members do strive & get things done making our lives easier. Kudos to SCCC
Parleys are on and indications are that we are in for a few radical
changes in the way the Post >Office functioned in Saligao. Thanks again to
the SCCC who is following the matter with Dr. Willie >and the Post Mistress
General.

Well as I mentioned before, we got the "mechanic" ( one phone call from the
neighbours did it, I think it was Dawood & his colleague, not sure I got the
name right) to see to our phone, to check it, to sort out some entangled
wire at the pole, at no cost at all, & he seemed quite cheerful. No
extortion at all, all done as part of his job. Of course it is our
prerogative to give something for "chai-pani" (he didnt ask for that either)
in appreciation for the satisfaction obtained I guess.
.....service and you will return to BSNL, in the 21st century, saying,
"Hoch phone boro!"
Hmm! I like this expression as Fiona said the same, though in English. Didnt
sound as good!
