Dear Dr Kirby,

I would like to apologize if I contributed to any misunderstanding. I
had not read through all of your previous public correspondence and
agreement not to prolong the debate in public, and neither have I read
and compared your codes.

Doing so in sufficient detail would have caused me to give up my own
work and also my own preferred recreation, namely chess, and therefore
I would not be using Scid. Since deciphering computer code is not my
business, I choose to remain a humble user without concerning myself
with who gets the credit for writing it. I will remain thankful to
Mr/Ms X.

Who that X is, I hope you can reach some settlement, publicly or
privately. I am getting back to work, as I also work weekends.

I apologize to you for wasting your time, but more importantly to
myself, for wasting my own time. From now on, I will simply not read
most of this daily mail, even it is Our Father who trespasses into our
Inbox as we trespass so often into the supersacred Inboxes of others,
or who borrows code as often as we borrow code from others, and
leadeth us not into frustration but hopefully delivereth us from
email. For thine is the mailing list forever and ever.

But the meek users shall inherit the software.

I hope you, Pascal and everyone have a good weekend, and many more
good weekdays and weekends to come.

Amen.

Aniket
