Hi, the "Ask-to-replace" popup should burn in hell :) I hated it with all my heart. Imagine a text editor that creates a popup everytime you digit a char (do you want to insert a new char or replace the old one?).
I believe also that the pgnscid script was not particularly useful and a little dangerous: it's possible to import multiple png directly from the GUI and usually you really want a user to supervise such a process in case of errors.
