Some are. Others are hall effect sensors which need 5v and output a

Write endurance is still a thing. Just be sure to compare specs. DWPD
is the simple number to go by. If they don't publish a DWPD on the spec
sheet that probably means you don't want to know.

OS has evolved into a VM host kind of environment, and you can do more with

Was on a Royal Caribbean Cruise over the New Year. Signed up for their ship Internet package and used WiFi calling. Didn't have any issues. Texts worked find and I had no problem dialing into my voice mail to check messages.

SSD's if you're concerned about writes.
For example the intel S4610is rated at 6 PBW (6,000 TB) or roughly 3 DWPD.
Intel P series or optane based products have far higher endurance but
