Hello everyone. I am back with another question. Midnight is 8-9

himself in places or over things and peeing on purpose. Is this a cry

Sounds like he is marking his territory. There may be female cats in the
neighborhood going into heat. It is the right time here.
Get some of the spray feliway and spray it everywhere in the house.
Especially where he has marked. Is he spraying or just peeing?
Just to make sure he is ok ph
This may sound stupid but how do I know the difference between spraying and

When a cat sprays they usually back up to something, lift their tail and it
goes straight out. It also has a very strong odor.

Spraying is where they usually back up against something and pee. There is
usually a stronger odor to the urine. Feliway has no odor I can detect. I
use Odo Ban (Wal-Mart/Sam's) to clean where they pee or spray. It works
wonders and I have had no problem with it. If he is squatting I would
Jennifer,
Barring, of course, an underlying physical problem - you may want to combat
this on two fronts: First - you've got to totally get rid of the scent so
that he can't smell it so those places don't remained marked as a good place
to 'go'. (I've had good luck with 'urine gone'). Second -
Getting a cat neutered will often stop the spraying but I wouldn't
wait any longer, if it becomes a habit it may not stop. I have had this
happen with a few cats and they did stop after they were neutered.

If you can tell that he isn't spraying then I would
take him into the vet. He might have a urinary tract
infection and that is something you don't want to let
go. If he is spraying then I would get him neutered
as soon as possible.

Just back from the vet's, talked to the oncologist, the result of the
analysis is that the 4 cm mass felt by palpation and visualized by
ecography is lymphoma. Feel devastated but do not surrender.
I am going to dig the archives, the web and my old arsenal.

Paolo,
I'm so sorry to hear this diagnosis. Did you talk to your vet about
steriod shots to help Rompi feel more comfortable? I took Michelle's
advice and began giving Spencer .4cc of dex daily, (my vet wouldn't
prescribe the combo shots that Michelle suggested), and it brought him

feel a little better because dex generally increases feelings of physical and

Good idea. Thanks. I called and they said that once reconstituted and in the

does not become toxic. I guess I will give her some tomorrow in lieu of the

Michelle - can you call around and see if there is any way that you can
find someone to draw a tiny bit of blood to check on her PCV - they can

In a way, this is almost funny, and I hate to interject it between all

You've been thru a lot with your kitty. I certainly don't know - but
just briefly, if he was mine, I'd try Flagyl, which is not only for
parasites but can be useful as an anti-inflammatory. If that didn't
work, I'd talk to my vet about it other parasite problems. If that
