Re: [AFMUG] zimbra question
+1 on Zimbra Use the open source version. We run it under vmware, it has relatively robust CPU and memory needs depending on your account and spam volumes. Running it under vmware lets you tweak the amount of resources you throw at it on the fly. Be ready to put some time into fail2ban to keep people from hacking into accounts. Also be ready to fine tune the anti-spam tools as well. If you've been using a hosted solution until now, the spam and hacking stuff is going to take some time to get up to speed on. We use it for the offices but not the customers. Its brilliant. The new guys that bought it have already started taking it to the next level. Throw zextras in there and you have zxchat built in for quick communication between all your offices. There is an upcoming xmpp server built in as well in the new 8.7 release. The IRC #zimbra chat room is extremely helpful as well. Not to mention I haven't paid a dime yet (other than zextras). I'm almost ready to expand enough though that I may be purchasing it. Re: [AFMUG] Park City Utah
Lots of cool stuff to do in the area. I would also recommend touring Temple Square in downtown SLC. I am especially fond of the Utah mountains and scenery. Here are a couple of my suggestions for activities close to Park City. The new zipline at Sundance just opened a couple weeks ago and is awesome. It's right between Lindon and Park City if you go through Provo Canyon. Parts of it get over 500ft high and you can really get going fast on it. http://www.sundanceresort.com/ziptour Timpanogos Cave National Monument is very cool, but requires reservations a couple weeks in advance and a pretty good hike with amazing views to get to it, but is well worth it. http://www.nps.gov/tica/planyourvisit/cavetours.htm Deer Creek Reservoir is close to Park City and has on-site rentals of boats, waverunners, etc. http://deercreekislandresort.com/ If you want to go a less strenuous route, but still want some amazing views, the aerial tram at Snowbird is very enjoyable. http://www.snowbird.com/summer/activities/tram/ Park City Resort has a few fun activities including their alpine slide. Their zipline is nothing compared to the one at Sundance though. http://www.parkcitymountain.com/site/summer/activities/index.html Roger On Mon, Jun 22, 2015 at 9:02 AM, Jaime Solorza losguyswirel...@gmail.com wrote: Light my fire organ solo must sound awesome on that On Jun 22, 2015 8:20 AM, Chuck McCown ch...@wbmfg.com wrote: Come on down to Lake Point and we will show you around our place if you want. Re: [AFMUG] PacketFlux SyncInjectors Auto Reset of power overloadcondition
Probably not. I've done rather traumatic things to the underlying code at this point so I don't have enough data to say definitely no. The biggest potential issue is the lack of visibility and management of the timers, which relies on a base unit firmware which isn't yet shipping. I also haven't done what I consider sufficient interoperability testing with the currently shipping firmware to ensure backwards compatibility. In reality I probably am just being overcautious as I tend to be conservative when releasing code into the wild and this just hasn't been though the bench testing I really want to put it though. I don't believe you can. This has been a major pet peeve (along with the incapability to apply templates upon discovery). Even the files loaded to the server are kept in a database, which means if I wanted a software version I cannot find online, I can't just pull it from the server. The best you can do, to my knowledge, is open up CNS and view the current config. If your client is offline, you can view the last updated config. But then you have to manually enter the values. I created a stock template for all of the technicians. I filled in the important info and then exported it to a text document. I am assuming you need a specific config for this one radio. Re: [AFMUG] PacketFlux SyncInjectors Auto Reset of power overload condition
I'm out of the office for a couple of weeks. That firmware is ready to go, but there are some gotchas. I'm back mid next week. If you are willing to take it with the gotchas, I can get you one probably just before or just after the fourth of July holiday. This applies to anyone who wants it. The gotchas are basically that you can't configure or monitor some key parameters yet. On Jun 22, 2015 1:19 PM, Wireless Admin wirel...@htn.net wrote: Forrest seems to be out fishing. [AFMUG] 320SMs on Alvarion software
We raised a ticket with Cambium about some 320SMs that we have that have Alvarion firmware on them. The fix they say is to have the Moto/Cambium firmware in the non-PKG3 format, and then use the Web Page to upgrade the firmware that way. However, Cambium tech support said they don't have that software, even though they must have had it to make the PKG file in the first place. Does someone have any 320SM firmware in non-PKG format? Re: [AFMUG] 320SMs on Alvarion software
You could probably get it by setting up a ftp server and using port-forwarding on a router: ftp port to that server and http/telnet/snmp ports to a regular 320 sm. If Cambium tech support doesn't help you let me know and I'll try to be creative. Re: [AFMUG] Park City Utah
Come on down to Lake Point and we will show you around our place if you want. It is about 15 minutes west of the SLC airport. Just off of I-80 exit 99. Hill AFB has a nice aviation museum with a mounted B52 and I think they still have the SR71 inside. Great Salt Lake/Antelope Island is something to see. Golden Spike Monument is up there a bit. Takes some driving. I would never recommend anyone go see the spiral jetty... Of course Temple Square downtown SLC hits all the major historic Mormon stuff. The tabernacle is worth seeing inside. Free organ recital every noon.
