Re: Can I have grizzly gulch?

This one's tricky. I think it's a bit of an unspoken rule of sorts due to Bavisoft's frankly unjust disappearance as a company, but we still can't really officially allow links to the games. Or can we? I've seen this discussion go both ways on the forum. Either way, if indeed the games were! allowed to be hosted on here, I still think that uploading the games officially may still be crossing the line. It's one thing to have links on a forum that can become lost to time, but quite another to have them in plain sight, permanently up for download. At the same time, if they were to come back and hit us with a c and d that would be, in my honest opinion, a pretty laughable move at best, considering their failure to respond to orders and support questions past 2009. But considering they didn't even flinch when their own damn domain got taken down for inactivity, I'd be willing to think that they wouldn't give a crap. All things considered, I&
#039;ll alert the mods on this one so we could discuss this controversial state of affairs concerning Bavisoft games.Ok, done. I doubt anything would get the company's attention these days. Lol.

Re: Lightweight Orca linux distros...any good ones?

I can get it to run, but on my desktopit managed to, somehwat amazinglylag. Bear in mind my desktop is about 10 years old with 2.5 gigs of RAM and a decent proessor and an Nvidia graphics cardyeah not the greatest system ever but it works.Just want a distro that won't lag horribly when starting up at all.Currently got Zorrin on, it runs fine except it lags when there's a lot of stuff running, I had Mate under WUBI and it lagged, maybe that's the reason it was lagging, I got no idea but for me at least and maybe it was a bad DL, Orca wasn't working entirely with Mate's desktop.Never got Lubuntu to  work with Orca even after installing gnome-orca, is that solely down to the LXDE environment? Or in other words, given how old my system is, is LXDE my best shot at a responsive system? If so, best way to get Orca to run with it?@the Arch guy: Isn't there an auto install Arch script or iso laying around somewhere?
I swear I remember it on the talking Arch iso, I may give that a go at some point but at this point, so used to Ubuntu I'd rather stick with what I know, though I did briefly check Fedora out.

No, you were jumping before you were pushed. You have harrassed developers of other games and tried to get the source code of DMNB , something that won't happen, you tried to take the project from Danny to 'revive it'. Which is no better than Mason or the UP thing using that code. By the way you never asked Danny for  the code or permission to modify it. Which as I get it is a big, big big no no among blind people...or gamers in general.3. When another developer of a much bigger game goes off on ou, take heed of what they are telling you, especially when it relates to how you are. You want RS to be some ultra professional outfit. Spend time among actual real developers and you'll have your illusions shattered, i

That, and oh by the way, I won't go into details but...I do know what's going on and I can say this project can pretty much be laid at your feet as to why it's dead. I can say with accuracy that Danny would be a lot more motivated if you weren't constantly bitching in the group chat all the time and demanding stupid shit constantly and  trying to get Danny and I to change how and who we are to please you. If it was a 'team' as you seem to think Danny would have fired you ages ago if it was a real world company, youh have been fired for being disruptive and causing trouble. Re: Jaws eloquence crash strings

Lol. I give up.The same poster that said more people bash JAWS than NVDA just proved my point. Most people bash JAWS because of the expensive cost. I don't accept it, but can understand why persons do it.NVDA's great web support is why I switched to it in the first place. I saw that the Office support wasn't great, but the truly remarkable web support pulled me in from day one. Then, as years go by, I saw the support for PowerPoint, better fixes in Word and Excel, and I'm glad I switched. It gives me easy to reach options to turn off useless information in my browser. Right now, only links and headings, along with shortcut keys, are announced in Firefox for me. As it relates to form fields, NVDA now has support for ARIA placeholder values, which makes knowing the label of a form field much better. I love the elements list, but I also use K and Shift+K to move by links anyway, and NVDA find.I tried a demo of JAWS a couple days ago, and after I
configured it to work like NVDA (that's how deep I'm invested now), I still wasn't satisfied. It kept crashing, some quick keys are not the same, and, it took me several hours just to do all that! Invested in JAWS, nothing is wrong with that, I think how invested you are in the screen reader is the big deal.

Re: Let's talk about apple and what they came out with yesterday.

To be honest, I am dissapointed a bit about the app store.I find syncs on the desktop a lot easier. Also if I am wanting to help people setup their devices, I now can't get apps for them or anything, its good I set up my aunt's and mum's devices before I had to do the big update, however with this big announcement now usable or even relivent is itunes period except to update the phone if it doesn't do this anyway  for you.Is it even worth keeping it installed, sure we have a music library but to be honest I feel cheated almost.I know I can buy a lot of music from bandcamp or other sites and there is ofcause ms store which does not drm protect your music.I do wander how I can still buy apps and such when I am not on my device or how to easily but them in the phone, its nice if I have to do things to my unit but other people's?And then there is restoring, I have gegs of apps, so now I basically have to wait like I don&
#039;t know ages and ages to get all the apps for each device. And the ringtones hmph.If apple is going to do this I'd be better if they just had a service to update the phone and that was it or quit the pc.However this is available on mac so its s double standard. Its easier to buy for an entire account than on each device, I am going to have to start telling people I can't do app support now.Because there is no way, which means if it screws it will have to be another trip to apple for a new phone or a something else.I think apple has taken a step backward. At any rate itunes universal app will be inaccessible as most apps on windows are I suppose.

If were gonna talk about web browsing, i'm going to say that voiceover is the best screenreader for browsing. It is much better than either NVDA or jaws and that is another reason why I plan to switch over entirely to mac. As for pages, I didn't realize it was really accessible. Sometimes it is, but sometimes it doesn't seem to be. Does the document have to always be blank template for voiceover to work propperly?Microsoft word does not work at all with voiceover. At least microsoft word 15 doesn't anyway and that's the one I have. Regarding the elements list, I didn't know you could tab in it, that's actually quite convenient, the web roter feature in voiceover is still much better though.

Re: Let's talk about apple and what they came out with yesterday.

In ITunes 12.6.2, the Apps are not part of the backup. The location of the apps on your IOS device is included in the backup. the content of some of the apps may be included depending on the app to some degree. The list  of the apps is included in the backup along with your settings and a list of all of your songs. This basically means that if ITunes does not find the app on your PC, your IOS device will download them from the app store seeing that the apps, themselves are not part of the backup. In short, ITunes only backs up the content you create over all seeing that apple thinks that you can get the rest from them. This is assuming that you do not mind getting the latest apps and that you have a copy of your music on your computer. My biggest problem with this feature being removed is the fact that I was having ITunes checking the app store for any updates I may have and downloading them so that I can have ITunes install the apps on to my devices so that I will not have to download the app two or three times just to update the same app on both my IPad, IPod touch, and IPhone. If my connection was ten times faster, This would not be as big of a problem. For the backup and restore problem itself. Say it takes ten to thirty mins to do a restore from ITunes. Now let’s us say that my IPhone would have to connect to the app store to get all of the apps that I had on my phone, it could lengthen the time to a few hours even if the phone remembers what folders the apps goes in seeing that I currently have around a few gigs of apps. Yes, some of these apps will go away with IOS 11, but still. It is like your backup of your PC, containing all of your settings, desktop shortcuts, and documents, but not your programs and music. Let’s say that you know that you can hook in another hard drive to transfer the music back in if you had a computer crash, but you had to redownload every program that you had installed. Oh yes, may you have good luck on the programs in question being downloadable. This pretty much describes the ITunes backup. As a side note, sense they are pretty much removing the ring tone section of ITunes too, I am not too sure how we will go about putting in our own ring tones without going through apple.

Re: Jaws eloquence crash strings

And to the guy who asked why everybody bashes NVDA? Well, why does everybody bash jaws, is the real question. I've seen more people bash jaws than NVDA, so not sure where you get your info.Something to point out I forgot to above is that jaws is litterally made for school and office work. The name means job access with speech. Its designed to work with microsoft word and stuff like that. NVDA, in my opinion, is better for the cajual computer user who just plays games. Its also good for programmers who code with python, as if your developing something and you want full screenreader support, you can design add ons with python that work how ever you like. Having said that though, jaws has that too. It has scripts you can create to work with programs. Not quite as good as NVDA, but more secure. The NVDA remote add on is not encrypted and is very, very hackable. It is not hard at all for somebody to hack your connection. With jaws tandom mode, its closed to users, encrypted,
and more secure. So there you have it, my jaws vs NVDA double post rant. I hope you like it.  Now time to play some cycle path.

Re: Jaws eloquence crash strings

Well for 1, NVDA is terrible at announcing formfields, where as jaws actually announces that stuff. NVDA does not. One thing I will say, however, is that NVDA works with google chrome, where as jaws, at least version 12, does not.Jaws though, has different lists, simular to apple's roter settings in voiceover. Want links? Hit insert f7. Want headings? Insert f6 ibelieve, though to be honest i ccan't really remember if that's right or not, i mostly use the links list. All NVDA has is an elements list, it crams all the crap together and it honestly looks more like somebody tried to recreate jaws feature with a spin rather than a new more usefull thing because lets face it, NVDA is terrible for web browsing and why anybody would use it for that I don't kno.I'm honestly ready to ditch windows all together at home, my pc is terrible and i only really use it for gaming anyways. If there's an accessible mac word processer that can export into wor
d (I use windows at school) let me know. I'm just about done with windows and I'd like to only use it at school if possible.

Re: Alter Aeon September 2017 Update

I like warrior fourth because it will also give you access to Retreat earlier, plus Cry of Victory (a little healing after fights). Thief fifth lets you eventually get Pick Locks/sneak/searching/dodge. Warrior fourth gives you parry and shield block. Really, I've always subscribed to the idea that if you're not gonna stick druid/necro first or second, put them fifth or sixth.Necro-cleric has one issue. If you want to spam combat spells, say like Harm or whatnot, you have to be in melee. Now, your woad or clay man will protect you and such, but this is why I have bone armor and bone shield most of the time. My level 26 necro has something like 518HP and 360 mana, which is more than enough to go on a fairly ridiculous tear, particularly given that I run around with a ghoul, two skeletal warriors/knights, a mage and a wood woad. Necro-mage is fine though. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it. My highest level char to date was a necro-mage.

I think Dotris should work with just about any display, although it's possible one of the absolute newest or oldest won't work. It's pretty much Tetris exactly, minus the music or competitive mode. It is not playable without a braille display, though. The disappointing thing about Towering Tones is that, since you only need two matching tones to score, the real challenge is just making sense of the audio in time to react. But the audio is too overwhelming to go up to 3, which would be ideal. Also, I never got around to adding an overview feature Although Tetris actually hides the blocks when you pause the game, IIRC, because reaction time is part of the point. Oh, and I can't say for sure, but my first guess on why Magic Blocks isn't working is 64bit vs 32bit
issues. I can't run my Java games on 64bit Windows, because for some reason the 64bit mixers that come with it don't support anything but play and pause, so panning crashes it. A 32bit virtual machine might help?

If I can play swamp on the trackpad of a laptop from 2010, you can definitely play it with a wireless $10 mouse from 2017. The only people who don't want mouse functionality are people who have literally never played with a mouse or controller.I feel like this last statement regarding the mouse is rather an over generalization. To be quite honest, I have played with a mouse, and back when I used to play console games, did in fact, play with a controller. However, I still find it easier to play with the keyboard, rather than a mouse. I don't thin

So then to say that people haven't used the mouse/controller, and therefore don't want the mouse/controller, I think is a bit of an over generalization. Also, I think this game should try an be as accessible, to as many people as possible. Not to just the gaming aficionados, but to the newbie as well, who genuinely hasn't used a mouse before, or doesn't possess a controller.I get what you're saying, and I won't deny it was a bit of a generalization. I enjoy playing with just the keyboard when bpactical as well, but with a game like this, there's a certain degree of precision thatt's ging ot be involved. Minecraft is a much more complex game than, say, Entombed. So personally, I feel like having the option to use a mouse to give yourself that extra little bit of precision when possible would be.. I believe you can download an application by opening it from your web browser in iTunes, if that isn't also taken down. I guess the aps will still be on your iTunes as they are part of your backups, what's more iTunes is used for interaction between apps that are installed on your computer and those on your iPhone.I'm sorry if I've got your point wrong.

Re: Let's talk about apple and what they came out with yesterday.

One down side of that latest version of ITunes is the removal of the app store. That can be a problem if you are trying to make sure that you have a copy of all of your apps on your desktop for those times when you upgrade an app only to find that that upgrade of that app brakes things when it comes to accessibility. I myself also find that the ability to download an app once through ITunes, and then syncing my IPad and IPhone is a lot quicker than download the app with both my IPad and my IPhone. Of course, having a copy of all of my apps on my desktop can speed things along when I am doing a restore. Yes, most times I do not need to do a restore, but still. Part of my problem here is that I am stuck on roughly a 5 megabit connection. Sometimes I can get on a connection as fast as ten, but still... When you live out in a rural area, you do not have much option when it comes to an internet connection among other things. Anyway, I guess that we will see what we shall see when peopl
e get to play with these things. As for the IPhone X, I am not too sure what to think. By the way, I hope I did not spam everyone with those links.

There is a weirdness in the voice that I can only associate with the G930 mic I used to record it, which really is good for voice chatting, but not really for this application.I also associate some of it to my bad reading of some of the longer sentences, even though I did 4 and 5 takes of some of them.

I'm also surprised Magic Blocks has issues with the current JRE, though admittedly I haven't played much with that game. To my recollection, it wasn't traditional Tetris since the pieces weren't continuously scrolling, they were instead moving one unit at a time and allowing you to make decisions about what to do on every turn. I could be wrong though, it's been many months since I played it and I'm not a big fan of puzzle games. There's the Blocks game from Audio Game Hub, which is probably my favorite Tetris game, although the problem is that it's super difficult to do anything but vertical stacks to elliminate blocks unless you have a really good memory for keeping the entire board in your head, which I don't.There's a braille tetris game I heard about, I think called Dotress, that needs a braille display, but I haven't yet tried it, nor do I know what kind of displays it works with. All I know about it is what
I just said about it.Another Tetris-like game is the Towering Tones game from CaeJones, but that is a ridiculously hard game for me to even remotely start to play, because not only do you have to match sounds, but each sound is actually a block with two sides which have to touch in certain ways. You can flip the block as it falls, but man it gets insanely difficult from the first second of gameplay to tell what's going on. I don't know if this is because I'm not good at puzzles, or because that game is actually difficult. Maybe both. LolThere's one more Tetris game I recall called Metris. It's a musical game which uses midi to let you know what's going on. It's pretty old, released in 2001. The board is 7 columns wide, and there are seven notes which can fall, If you're in the key of C, these notes would correspond to the white keys, C D E F G A B. The rows are represented by octave so a low note means that something is at the b
ottom of the board, a higher note means it's closer to the top. You can arrange notes horizontally at the bottom of the board to make a major scale or a derivative of it, which gives you a hefty sum of bonus points though you're only allowed to do it at certain times, I think it was once per round or something like that. To clear notes vertically, you have to arrange them in chords. So C E G for example would count, as wel as a number of other possibilities which the manual explains, and this is the preferred way to clear notes. It's a pretty cool game and a clever concept, but there are a couple mixed blessings I perceive. To start, with 7 columns and seven notes, the board feels too accommodating and spacious. In the blocks game in audio game hub, for example, there are five colored blocks but only 4 columns, forcing you to be strategic. In Metris this becomes far less a concern. Even more of a mixed blessing is that you can move a falling note down the scale.
So if you want to move a G to an F, you can do just that.. However when you move the note, it drops to the octave below, costing you a row. Still, on the easiest difficulties where the speed is slow and there are I think 5 or 6 rows, this means that you actually have a lot of control over the board, making the experience less fun. On the harder difficulties, the speed is greater and rows get cut off the bottom so the cost of moving a note becomes much greater. So if you find the easiest difficulties too easy, you can step it up (there are I think 9 difficulties in total). So with that in mind you could probably justify much of what I nitpicked above. The game isn't free, and the registration page for it appears to be down so I'm not sure how you'd purchase it. You can still download the trial though. I didn't enjoy it enough to purchase it myself, but with that said I do not think it is a bad game at all.

Another good option to check out, is Name Cheap:http://namecheap.comI have the "Value Package," which is 50 gigs space, 50 subdomains, 3 web sites, 50 emails.Hosting starts at 9.99 USD for the first year, 38 USD after that.PS. You do not need to buy hosting if you just want a domain however... Cheapest domains start at around 8 USD, though they will have frequent deals on them. You can find a complete list here:https://www.namecheap.com/domains/new-tlds/explore.aspx, which is also "searchable" to narrow down a specific domain extension.

Hey!!!So first of all, thank you so much for your feedback.Oh yeah definitely, I'm not looking for this channel to be huge or anything. Certainly not, but I do want to do something that will be helpful to others, even in a small way.I am a psych major, and my whole modo is to help others. So yes, I do stream for my enjoyment, that is very true, but I also do it because I hope it might help someone out there somewhere. So it's a fifty fifty sort of thing.I'm glad you like my live streams, and youtube is mostly accessible. It was surprisingly easy to get it set up actually. I thought it would have been difficult as well, but no it really wasn't. Which is great!!! As for other blind youtubers, I know Liam Ervin is a huge one. He do

Another Game Apparently Lost to Time

So, another game bites the dust.  Magic Blocks, apparently a tetris-type game, is now dead.  That sucks, since we have no accessible tetris.  I downloaded it, and when I went to play it, I got the following message:Magic blocksThis application requires a Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0 - 1.7.0It then automatically found the program I needed, but when trying to install it, I got the following error:Windows InstallerError applying transforms.  Verify that the specified transform paths are valid.I then installed the latest JRE directily from Oracle.  I reran the program, and got the same message. So, I can only assume that there is no way to fix this.  I am surprised that the current JRE doesn't have whatever dependencies are needed, but apparently they were removed.  So, yet another game is apparently gone.  Sad.  I'm wondering if an accessible tetris game would be possible.  So
rt of surprised that one hasn't been developed.JLove

Re: I'm on PAX AUS's accessibility panel - please share your thoughts

Yep. As has been said.. people will definitely have different opinions on the subject. I play Tekken 7 and blazblue just fine, because Ive learned to not rely on stereo panning for games like that.. especially in tekken, where projectiles are rare enough that it's not much of an issue. I rely on the sounds of the actual moves to judge positioning, as special moves, throws, all will have unique sounds and you can determine if they register or miss. For me, regional tracking for my own character is more mental, and I do my best to be aware of what each movement is doing, rather than listening and reacting. Even in a game like stereo panning it's not something I focus on 100%, just enough to confirm what I'm already thinking. But again, gamers have different opinions on this one... Sightless and others are on one side of it and I'm somewhere in the middle. Stereo panning is nice to have, yes, but it's not a deal breaker and doesn't ruin the game for me f
rom a playability standpoint... only as an audio nerd. You can use any points I've made so far in your talk if you wish. The more perspectives there are presented, the better. Might even be helpful to include that some people rely more heavily on stereo panning than others, and some blind gamers don't enjoy or find games with mono combat audio playable, etc.

EBook reading type devices

EBook reading type devices

I was just looking at the user guide for the Book port Plus. I remember back when I was attending high school I remember using a book port. I am not too sure what high school is called over in other nations. Over here, it is the last four years of education before you attend university. Anyway, when I started university, I was loaned a victor wave, but I returned that to the university, and got myself a victor reader stream. At this time, the book port was not being sold. Plus, the victor reader stream was the device to get at this time because of the NLS support. If I remember right, I got the victor reader stream around 2009 or so. Now I have the new gen victor reader stream. That basically bring me to the question of who uses what device for reading books and why? I am assuming that the victor reader stream is the most popular simply because of it being the only player of its’ type for a few years. Now days, there are other devices like it on the market with slightly different features. Plus there are apps on IOS like voice dream reader that will take care of most of what the victor reader stream will do. Note the word most. You have to get more than one app to cover the features that victor reader stream covers and each of those apps has a different lay out. Plus you can get kindle books from amazon. Add to that, we can use our phones to do OCR on the printed page. Add to that, FS is improving the OCR feature in JAWS so that JAWS can use the connected scanner to your PC to access the printed page. Anyway, let the discussion begin.

2017-09-13 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — General Game Discussion : Sightless Kombat via Audiogames-reflector

Re: I'm on PAX AUS's accessibility panel - please share your thoughts

@9/10I'd have to vehemently disagree about any game that's in mono being accessible without much extra work.  Tekken 7 and as far as I know, the Blazblue and Guilty Gear franchises are only in stereo in certain iterations on certain platforms, not universally like Injustice 1/2, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter V etc. even Injustice 2 which has full stereo has very limited access to a vast majority of the game, including but not limited to the gear system and multiverse modes due to a lack of Microsoft Speech Synthesis API support that could be implemented by the developers, as with most games running on Xbox One.However, Post 9 is correct that fighting games are more accessible than most, though accessibility and playability/enjoyment don't always share the same priorities on everyone's lists.  I'm happy to further explain my stance on this, such as it is, should you wish.@10In terms of how you know where you are on
the screen, in a game like Killer Instinct or Injustice 2, where stereo panning is involved, you can use that to tell both where yourself and your opponent are.  It's not always easy to tell whether they're blocking etc, but that's a problem that could also be solved by audio cues.  Projectiles, in a game like Killer Instinct and most of the time in Injustice 2, travel across the screen as part of their audio via panning, so it's possible, though not easy, to jump over/duck under elements if you know what they are/where they're coming from height-wise.  However, with a mono game like Tekken 7 or the majority of what might be termed as Anime fighters (i.e. Blazblue, guilty Gear, etc) the latter two possibly having stereo iterations, it's a much more frustrating job as if the opponent does a move that crosses you up and you don't realise it, you would then likely get hit by at least one thing before you realise.  That one hit can
, as from personal experience, lead to losing not just a round but an entire match.  In mono titles, it's far easier for sighted players to have an advantage, since technically, you're fighting with one eye completely shut, if you want to think of it that way.As for a game that's fully accessible on PC, rather than consoles, Skullgirls is the prime example - it uses Tolk, a screen reader abstraction library that allows you, as with the Microsoft Speech Synthesis API on Xbox One, to pass a string through it which then is read by the screen reader as output, as far as I understand it.  It's in stereo too, which is definitely a plus in my book.I hope that answers your questions and if you have any further ones, please feel free to ask.

The only thing I can recommend is for you to purchase an unlocked phone directly from the manufacturer. This eliminates the need to wait for updates from your carrier. then again, you could always install a custom rom, but that is advanced. You may also wish to purchase a cheaper Android tablet if you simply want to test Android and the screen reader. I can't speak for Samsung devices, but I've heard they've been getting better and better. I'd personally go for stock devices from Google or the Motorola Moto phones such as the moto E or Moto G. Speaking of those, is it true that you can't enable TalkBack when you unbox them? If so, that is unacceptable!

Sorry, I have a few threads going I forgot you already mentioned the cues in this one. So the fighting games have great audio cues, but how do you know where you are on the screen? And do you mind if I mention the points in this discussion in my talk? I want to talk about games that are already doing things right in a lot of ways, and also talk about how my game is completely accessible without any external means (I narrate the menu buttons) but I don't want to sound like a pompous jerk, implying mine is the only game designed around accessibility.Thank you for this input, it's making me worry about this talk I'm giving less and less haha.

hi@simba: what chime do you mean? the only ones i've come across are the "correct" and "not correct" chimes. When you finish a song you also get some kind of chime which tells you how many "ruffes" you got.

Re: I'm on PAX AUS's accessibility panel - please share your thoughts

As I said. Street Fighter V, Killer Instinct, pretty much any 2d or 3d fighting game. Guilty gear, Blazblue, Tekken 7, Mortal Kombat, and Injustice and Injustice 2, just to name the more current ones... but the list is much bigger than that of course! You Don't Know Jack on the ps3 is playable, as are some of the included games in the Jackbox party pack series from Jackbox Games. Samurai Warriors 4 is playable thanks to its AI controlled taggable partner. Knights of Valour, the free to play game on ps4, is playable to a point... but because menus are not read or written out anywhere, I can't upgrade characters or buy new ones. But I've beaten all the battles of the first chapter out of 4 in the campaign. This game is the one I am currently obsessing over and wanting to be able to play more. haha.

That is exactly how I feel, Assault_Freak but I'm glad you said it, the sentiment has more meaning when it comes from the community than from a sound designer turned game developer. Developers need to stop being afraid of sound as detracting from the gameplay but as another informative source.Assault_Freak, do you know of any games that are naturally playable without any or much accessibility measures?

Re: I'm on PAX AUS's accessibility panel - please share your thoughts

I would love to point out the amount of games that do have audio cues for things, however accidental. Knights of Valour, available in the EU and AUStralia, has cues for when your special meter is full, when your boost meter is full as well as when new entrances open after defeating enemies. I would love to see that game brought to more accessible levels... so much of it is already there. Right now wanting help with menus and screens. Other than that, most fighting games such as Street Fighter V and Killer Instinct also have substancial audio cues. This would be something to bring up, that often times developers simply have to think of the sound design as communicating as much information as is possible, and express that to the sound designer so they can create for different onscreen events, player states, etc.

Re: My new youtube stream

Do what you know.I've heard time and time again by both small and large youtubers that the best way to not get burnt out is to just put out material on subjects that you personally care about.I think we both know that this channel probably won't get that big, it's just too much of a niche. Of course that's not to try and put a damper on things, after all look at Tommy Edison, but shooting for the stars right away is almost a sure path to failure. I'm guessing you know that already though, and hence, even if you think the topic will be uninteresting to your audience, I'd suggest still doing it, as long as it makes you happy. After all I'm guessing the channel is mostly for you, used as a creative outlet, as nearly all small channels are, with a secondary goal of helping people in your community out, and or spreadi
ng the knowledge about this community.I don't want to presume though, could be anything... :-)Just remember that as long as your putting it out there, it's almost a certainty that someone is going to like it, you'd be surprised at the kinds of subjects that some channels are built around.Trying new things is good too of course, but I suggest doing that later on, once you've exhausted your own set of interests. On a side note, it's nice to see a female doing this, for the simple fact that all the similar AG channels get tiring. you also have a nice way of presenting things, with out much mumbling, lack of enthusiasm, etc.Allot of AG channels have no voice over either so, that's refreshing, plus I have to commend you on using such a mainstream and at times inaccessible service, even if you had sited help or have enough vision, it's still pretty cool.Speaking of which, I don't know of any blind str
eamers on youtube accept you actually, the only ones I know of at all are the PG13LP and CodeGreen50 ones and they aren't on youtube. I know there are probably some mainstream gaming twitch streamers who are blind though.Maybe you should link to them in your channels tab?
