Definitely not a scam, this is a legitimate product as I've heard some mention of it in Asian blind circles I'm part of. You can also find reference to it in certain game manuals.. Shadow Line, for example, or at least to the Japanese equivalent. And yeah, I'm with Cae. IF I had money to burn, I'd get one of these at least... with 10K, if and whenever I get married, that'd be a nice down payment on a car... yikes.

Hi.I've been meaning to check out Sequence Storm for ages now but never got round to installing and setting up Steam until just yesterday. So after spending much of the day yesterday setting up my Steam account and installing the client and trying to get it to display in the correct language and also trying to get past Steam Guard, I finally got everything sorted and tried out the demo. Double your \ so they're escaped, and use os.path.normpath to make sure it's formatted correctly.With pygame, I get confused about when you should use pygame.mixer.init, and when you should use pygame.mixer.pre_init. You do one when you use the rest of pygame, and the other when you use mixer by itself. If you're not using any of pygame, you might not need to call pygame.init.Looking quickly at an example that I know works, I think this is your problem. Either drop pygame.init, or drop pygame.mixer.init, and instead put pygame.mixer.pre_init above pygame.init.

@5 decorators are the pythonic way for making functions that take functions and return them transformed in some way (or in your case, performing side effects). however I would be very surprised if passing functions as arguments was entirely discouraged, since for some things it is the only practical way of doing things. and lots of model python libraries don't shy away from treating functions as first class values, like numpy off the top of my head.also in regards to what if you dont want to define some event, then you can just have default arguments to the constructor, which are very pythonic indeed I also prefer Camlorn's subclassing design to the decorators here.  personally I am a composition over inheritance kind of guy, so I thought of my thing first, but I like the other one as well.don't get me wrong, decorators are great when they make sense like flask's @app.route(), but just not seeing the value here.

i agree with what Nocturnus   said on post 43 here, to be fair i can't rremember the last time i played an audiogame in the past   year and this one., i think the last game i ever played was manamon 2  when it came out, but i simply droped it afterwords, i guess i wasn't interested of it being the same all over again, but i do still play main stream games  whenever i have a chanse.i guess i already menssioned this  before, that  i'm ready to help out in  sound design,  it's a part of me, a hobby that i love doing  most, and i've bin geting more beter and beter at it  to produce hie quality sound effects, i don't do this for the sake of money but more of a something i ennjoye doing in my free time to then anything else.

Thanks for trying it out! I really appreciate it. In voice, you can only support a limited vocabulary. If you try to recognize too many different words, it gets confused and accuracy falls off. So you keep the vocabulary limited. That isn't a problem in typed text. So I've got a lot of work to do to improve the usability by adding in more aliases. I've gone through the transcripts and started adding issue to the issue tracker! I don't know how accessible GitHub is, but I'll link to the issue tracker below if anyone wants to enter their own bugs or follow them. You're not being punished, dude. Relax. I'm telling you to use the search feature. It wasn't included just so it could be ignored.When this game was really new and nobody understood what was going on with special monster types, it was absolutely, totally okay to ask questions like that. Because people figured stuff out but not everyone knew what was needed. As time passed, that knowledge became more common, so presumably the need to ask questions which had already been answered should go down.It's a lot like people asking where the coins in Manamon 2 are, even though there's a guide in the articles room which explains where literally every item in the game is.Let's be clear here. People who ask for cracks get punished. People who try and reverse-engineer games are also punished, or severely frowned on. Someone who asks a question they should be able to answer on their own is just momentarily annoying. What I do when I see a question like this is point the person at the search feature. If I've done this, it's because I know the answer is there, which you would have known if you'd taken three minutes to look. If the search feature truly doesn't help you, and digging through the original Breed Memorial thread using your screenreader of choice to search for keywords also doesn't help you, then sure, ask away. And you're never going to be punished for asking a question that's already been answered. But you may be pointed at another way you can help yourself. Instead of seeming to get offended or upset by this, maybe learn to use the feature and rely less on others? Because yes, this forum is here to help people, but that doesn't mean that we are here to do for you what you should be doing for yourself.

the swamp account is not to be sold, for one, the buyer cant really have full control of the account, for an other, they'd have to renew it once the subscription time finishes, which, at this point, I'm quite unsure about, wether they can actually renew it or not, so yeah, as stated above, you'd better be off getting your own swamp account rather than purchaisng someone else's, unless your going to pay someone to give you all of their items and then say good bye and delete their characters, then that's a totally different story

Yeah, as soon as I figured out the way switch mechanics worked, I pretty much swore off all online battling until such time that it was fixed. There's a reason that pokemon does it the way it does; it's because it works. Healing and switching are priorities and will always go before a move will, except in the case of the specific move Pursuit (which does double damage to a pokemon that's trying to switch out). High-level one-on-one pokemon battles usually involve a -lot of switching, and the way it's punishable in the manamon games just wouldn't allow for that.Another thing Aaron broke is stat boosts. I'm pretty sure his stat boosts are 1.3 instead of 1.5, which means that sweepers don't sweep as hard, and defensive manamon don't get as tanky. I might be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not. So instead of Hone Blade Literally doubling your attack stat, it boosts it by 0.6, which is still pretty significant, but it's only 0.1 better than a one-stage pokemon boost, so yeah, I dunno. I have felt pretty much since I began digging into this series of games that essentially, manamon is inferior to pokemon in almost every mechanical way during battles. Worse moves, worse diversity, worse switch/heal/overall speed mechanics, worse AI, generally worse type representation (though he's getting a little better at this one). Also, his bosses are definitely more creative in manamon 2; the story explanation for them is a bit meh, but I'll take it. It really is quite amazing how much different the first and second game are in this regard. You folks might remember that I am definitely not a fan of the Irroadium fight in the first game; this still holds true, even now. Yet I'm completely fine with the hyper forms in manamon 2. Why is that? Two reasons, really. First, it's established very early on that this will happen, so it allows you to be more prepared early on for challenges that will use a bunch of your team. Second, there are quite a few of them, instead of just one gimmick. Also, I generally find Irroadium harder than any of the hyper forms in manamon 2, largely because of the damage it can do, but it's possible if I played the original manamon again now, I'd wreck Irroadium even harder than I ever have before.And hey, at least there are no more unexplained, unexpected and illogical scaled fights to try and artificially inflate the difficulty. It's entirely possible to brute-force the entire game with a group of 2-3 manamon if you want to. I'm not saying it's advisable, but it's perfectly doable.

GOLDWAVE DOES NOT SUPPORT VST 64BIT PLUGINS, only 32 bit ones, the interface that iZotope uses is more advanst just like other plugins now a days, and even if their were versions of the plugin you're looking  to use   are in 32bit format, they'll still have errors, because  probably goldwave never thought to include or update the VST support for their software, use reaper if you want to  use it properly

So right away I'm noticing a one and a half to two second delay between advancing dialogue and it being read. it's great that it's being read at all - though I don't precisely play pokemon for its engaging script - but this lag is annoying. Also, movement is choppy. Did we really, really, really need footsteps? Maybe I'm just coming from a different background than most of you, but I just step-counted with no problem at all.I suspect I will have to get used to all the navigation keys to see how much more immersive it in the long term, but my first impression was...not good. Two minutes of annoyance and lag, when I could've already gotten my starter on a handheld console. I will give it an honest try later, and hope I get enough payback, so to speak, for all the other gripes I've found. But the very first impression, from someone who has successfully played old-school pokemon, is not kind at all.

node.js at the end of the day is a interpreter for _javascript_, the way python.exe is for python. it only takes up resources when it is running, so installing it will not kill your computer, if that is what you are afraid of. though I am really just guessing what you are concerned about, since your posts in this thread so far haven't made sense to me.what do you want node.js for? probably to develop something, right? then just install it and use it for what you want and if there are some problems then uninstall it, although I can't imagine what these problems would be...I recommend getting scoop if you are on windows. it is a software command line manager like apt on debian linux. let's you install/update/uninstall lots of dev software just with a single command in your terminal, like:scoop install nodejsscoop update nodejsscoop uninstall nodejsand so on...

The gene emblem has turned out to be of more help than I thought it would be. I usually try to get 3 remarkable stats. I don't care what they're in, just as long as there are 3 somewhere. Then I put the gene emblem on and fill out the rest. It works quite well, but I still wish we had more control of what stats were passed down. Some of those music games are just dumb as hell, but I'm glad I took the time to do them.

So I'm doing my own form of challenge. Well, not really a challenge I guess. Three mons of a single type only, namely sound, in the form or Rhythmond, holy in the form of the holy squirrel monk, and shadow, in the form of Duskond. The other three team members ar dual types and none of them can deal with magic. I swapped out Frenrir for Submenno, kept Ursinerator and I'm thinking of getting the magnet jacket from the Cave of Fates to gain an Irond, which is, of course, the another single type. SO, actually, only two dual types. We'll see how this goes. This team has plenty of weaknesses for a smart game AI to exploit, so I should do just fine considering the state of this game's AI. @Jayde: Do you remember talking about the confused switch mechanics in Manamon? After playing two of the Pokemon games, I can definitely see how the switch mechanics in Manamon are inferior. As near as I can tell, Pokemon's switch mechanics allow you toswitch out if you're facing someone who might be faster than you without necessarily taking damage, while Manamon's mechanics are based around nothing but raw speed. I guess that in his quest to create a whole new game that isn't quite a new game, Mr. Baker may have dropped some of the more useful mechanics in  the quest for some originality.

the swamp account is not to be sold, for one, the buyer cant really have full control of the account, for an other, they'd have to renew it once the subscription time finishes, which, at this point, I'm quite unsure about, whether they can actually renew it or not, so yeah, as stated above, you'd better be off getting your own swamp account rather than purchasing someone else's, unless your going to pay someone to give you all of their items then say good bye and delete their characters, then that would be a totally different story

If this is the line I'm thinking of, iirc the refresh rate was somewhat slow, and some digging suggested a price of $7-10k US, or thereabouts, for whichever specific model I was looking at.I want to get the middle one and rig it up to a Sega Genesis, since the aspect ratio of that one is closest. Mostly because the that's the only aspect ratio that seems familiar.They're clearly marketting to retailers, though, by the price description (or lack thereof). I mean, if I had a million bucks to burn, I'd go ahead and make a bulk purchase, then sell them at half price with frequent contests to give away a few for free. But since I'm pretty sure that just one is presently beyond my funds... Oh, hey, people keep asking what I want for Christmas...

well let me first say that when I think that we can have play stations with accessible screen reader suport, I am just thinking that this is what we wanted all along, right?We won't nedd audiogames just for a simple reason and thhat is the fact that we will hav access to a games for the sighted that from now will be playable.  In this regard audiogames will die out, or may be we will just learn to make things along with the sighted to help with accessibility ishus.  It will take sometime however till we feat in to the scene, but I hope we can adapt.

I don't think we should ever lose audiogames -- nor do I think we ever will. They may not be fully inclusive yet, and maybe they never will be, purely because creating graphics that your modern gamer would think are "really good" is extremely difficult for us (not to mention graphics APIs are hard to use sometimes). Plus, I think audiogames give us an expressive and creative outlet that bring challenges to the sighted; the sighted can learn how to play our games while we learn to play theirs.

So Netflix and those kind of streaming apps should work out of the box, at least thats what I'd hope. When it comes to VLC, things seem to get a bit tricky. I found the following when googling:redditSo it seems to be possible, but people seem to be unsure about which options to check in the options to get it working properly.Netflix etc would be no problem with set-top boxes and not even via WiFi, although you could just get a network adapter for the Fire TV Stick and connect it to your LAN network as well. Some set-top boxes already have a LAN connector, the Apple TV does. Although you are right, playing BluRays that way would be tricky. I do have a NAS in my home which hosts all the movies and blurays and that stuff, you could do a similar thing with built-in windows network shares as well without having to pay anything, but if you can get VLC to work properly then you can just do as intended and work with your PC only.

@6, thanks for the suggestion, I’ve gone and done that. When I tried adding ‘r’ to the file path, a couple of things happened. Firstly, when I tried it with a .wav file, pygame brought me this error.pygame.mixer.music.load(r'A_2093\Sounds\Intros\Survivor\Survivor_Intro_Music.wav')Pygame.Error: couldn’t Open 'A_2093\Sounds\Intros\Survivor\Survivor_Intro_Music.wav'When I gave it a shot with an .mp3 file, it gave me the same error.Is it just that pygame can’t support .wav and mp3 files? Updated the exe to spit out the dll for NVDA, really should've read the Tolk documentation more thoroughly. There is also a bug where Tolk silence doesn't work with Jaws, so I made it speak an empty string instead, but I notice NVDA reads "blank". So I made it use silence when Jaws is not used. So when you expand a post, you should not hear "blank" anymore.I agree that I should test with NVDA as well, but I am not used to that screen-reader and I'm not sure how to set power user settings to make it comfortable. Hopefully it works fine now.@55, what is buggy?

Ok, so what made things work in crystal access were the object navigation function, which lead you cycle through the abailable exits and objects in a room with j for previous, k for current, and l for next, and p to plot a step by step path to that item or exit when available. Secondly, you can use the a s d and w to move the camera around the room without having to move your character around. We know that the original game doesn't have sounds for the differentnterrain types, but the scripts add that, so you can use the camera to feel around the room so that you don't accidentally fall into a hole or something. From what I understand, things like this go beyond what manamon, or even braillemon offer. Then there are the small things, like being able to read the current text on screen with the t key, being able to read health of opponents with h, being able to get your coordinates with y, (its y because c is used to center the camera), being able to get the name of your current map with m key, having the game announce the location name as you enter them. I think that's most of what the scripts do, so they really do go quite a way towards making these old games more playable, and less of a slog to go through.One of the coolest things for me was when i beat the game and the scripts automatically read the credits as they scrolled by.. even Tyler Spivey was impressed by that because he hadn't played the game that far though he designed the scripts. Things like this make the whole experience more accessible,, and not just playable..I remember having to memorize a lot of the maps as a kid by trailing the walls and feeling around for openings and exits,, but with object and camera navigation, I don't have to worry about that and can just focus on enjoying the game. Also, seriously just get 70% or higher in any sound game and you will get both of the mons you need. Easy.Gene Emblem/Family Heart only matter if you have a great manamon and want another great one. It's not a ton of help if you have a bad manamon and want to breed it; in fact, it'll get in your way there, probably.

The bug in question did happen, the backdoor (as far as I know) is a thing, the network requests are being sent.But I did not, at the time, have access to both sides of the story. But they are not nearly as detailed as the first blog post I sent made it seem.So in short, this is still an absolutely shitty feature that cannot be easily bypassed, but it was not made with the main intention of spying on users.

First prototype of a student-made espionage game

Hello everyone! We are students working on an espionage game where you explore vents above the rooms of different buildings in order to find information about the building’s places and people. We are currently testing navigation and identification of locations, which means it’s possible to listen to sounds coming from the different rooms in order to identify what room you’re above. This is a very early build created for playtesting purposes, so no dialogue is currently in the game.
