I like the girl next door but I need advice Hello everyone. So before I begin telling you whats going, let me tell you a few important things first. Im 14, and I turn 15 on december 17th. Ok, here we go.So, about a month ago, I moved into my new house, but never got to meet the next door neighbors till about a week ago. I met the girls and there brother yesterday. theres an 11 year old, a 14 year old, and a 16 year old. I like the 16 year old. Ive hung out with thim, and them with me, for about a day now. I even went to have chili with them this afternoon. My problem: What if the girl finds it creepy that I like her? I mean, her birthday is on may 14th so shes not fully 2 years older than me, but still. Shes the only one whos really really talked to me. Ok so I can get to the menu or whatever that shows my iphone and I see where I can change the sync options on my phone, but not a list of artists, albums etc that Id like to sync to my phone. just configure accessibility, manually manage music and videos, reset warnings, convert higher bit rate songs to..., prefer standard definition videos, sync only checked songs and videos, sync with iphone over wi-fi, automatically sync with this iPhone when it is connected. nothing about artists, songs, albums, etc. Help please? I recall someone who firmly believed that the blind could not play video games. Im quite happy being blind. I have many friends, Im an up and coming drummer, and a relatively good school life. My costumed vigilante's hero card Hero Name: StygianTrue Identity: Stygian is only a hero at night. By day, he is an aspiring lawyer in the fictional city of Arkshore. He lives in a large house in the oceanfront suburbs and is highly respected by his friends and coworkers.Powers: He was trained to the max in all known forms of martial arts, as well as marksmanship, endurance, and battle tactics. He has a genius level intellect, and is said to be smarter then most scientists combined.Gadgets: Due to his great wealth, he has access to gadgets and weapons to use in fighting crime, and not just in Arkshore. He favors his Stygi-darts, pure black darts that are invisible to everyone but him, using special eye implants as well as lenses in his mask. He also has a grapple gun, capable of shooting nets if need be. His gloves are infused with a stell alloy, making them lighter but also packing a greater punch when it connects. He has also infused them with an alloy with uses tiny metal spikes with spikes c oming off of those that can dig into whatever he touches, working for better grip, more agility when climbing and other types of combat. these same spikes are implanted in his boot toes and heels, giving him great agility. He also has Stygi-bombs, short-range EMP bombs which disrupt all electrical light in the room. If no electrical lighting is present, he has another form of these which releases an ink-like mist into the air, the oxygen in the air making it radiate light that is then absorbed back into the ink-like substance.Costume: Stygian goes for the darker look, with a full helmet reinforced with Kevlar and the same steel alloy in his gloves. The helmet looks like the head of the devil, taking the idea that Hells corners are in Stygian darkness. He wears an armored suit, the lightest armor available to him, which also is infused with the same steel alloy he uses in his helmet and gloves. He wears a relatively unremarkable black cape which happens to be indistructib le, this he uses to stop bullets. His boots are heavy with a steel toe, but normal steel this time.Other facts and origins: Stygian decided to take to the life of a vigilante when he witnessed a court witness be shot by a corrupt jury member. He decided to train himself to become Stygian and fight crime in major cities around the US, his major hunting ground, though, is Arkshore. He prefers to be alone, because he does not want outside social affairs to interfere with his persona as Stygian. And in 52, there were a few misfit superheroes, the most prominent I can remember was the blimp, a fat guy who could float low to the ground very slowly. But other than that, I love superhero movies for the destruction, fighting, awesome sound effects, catchy lines during the fight, massive battles with the likes of doomsday etc. Which is why I loved injustice: Gods among us, and is why it remains my favorite fighting game to this day. Re: My costumed vigilante's hero card one of my favorite heroes is green lantern. He needs to use his wits, smarts and he needs to think quickly in order to make what he needs with his ring. Batman is my most favorite. He is only human, so he defies death every single day, yet he never lets this stop him from kicking major ass. Oh and no, hes not invincible. Bane broke his back, hes been gassed by joker, etc. No heroe is perfect. Superman has his kryptonite, no matter how rare it is, it can still kill him with prolonged exposure. Martian manhunter has his vulnerability to naked flame. But I will agree with you here... NONE of the Marvel comics heroes seem to have a weakness. Hulk is basically a tank, spiderman has only been incompacitated by tons and tons of physical beatings, Iron Man is set if he watches his power levels, and thor is basically a god that disgraced his dad, got turned into a puny mortal and became a god again all in one movie. Also, Tward, did you find a way of getting accessible comics? And also, Dark, Superman doesnt really get a speech from anyone. Sure, he talks to a priest about whether or not to turn himself in, but other than that, he takes it upon himself to defend humanity and everything it stands for. Same with such people as Green Lantern and Wonder Woman. Ive only seen Batman get advice from Alfred, Stark is just a drunk in my opinion, and, if I remember right, Bruce Banner doesnt really have anyone. The X-Men never really got speeches, just counseling by Professor X. So, Ill have to say I disagree with the whole man up speech thing. And not all heroes triumph. In Justice League: Doom, which I have yet to watch, I am told Doomsday kills Superman. If thats triumph, someone kill me now! Lol. But seriously, it just depends what you watch. If you watch, say, the old Superman movies and other Hollywood films, yeah, your gonna get a lot of the plot contributors reused, youll never get passed that. Like Saw, for example. Every movie seems the same to me, from what I heard. Jigsaw captures someone, Jigsaw put someone in horrible trap, person basically kills themselves to save themselves, repeat. But, if you can sit back for any movie other than Saw and just let yourself become immersed in it, the movie is amazing. Why do you think The Hobbit did so well? Just my thoughts. Confronting my sister Hello all. So, I am quite angry right now, and very fed up. Im tired of my sister. Oh, I know what your thinking, You guys are siblings, you do this all the time. But no. She insists on being rude to me, mostly unprovoked, and making me basically her personal slave. I ask her for a glass of milk when Im at the table and forgot to pour myself one and I hear her literally right next to the fridge, its a god damn crime punishable by getting yelled at and told to get my lazy ass up and get it myself. She asks me for a towel, Im forced to drop whatever Im doing, no matter what the circumstances, to go get it. I ask her to make me a thing of mac and cheese, which, yes, I know is time consuming and takes work, but shell say later, which Im fine with, but she asks me to do the dishes, Ill say, just a minute, let me finish doing this, shell go, No do it right now. Shes even woken me up at 1-30 in the morning to do them. Gran ted it was a summer night, but still. I wanted to sleep, but nope, I had to, pardon my language, fuck my sleep schedule and go do them. I was in a skype call today with my friend and her video she was watching was to loud. I kindly asked her to turn it down so my friend could hear me, but nope, its a fucking crime. Computer problem Hey all. So you know how in NVDA itll say items view list when you are able to browse in file explorer? Well, its not doing that. I have to press a letter of an item in the window for me to here it say that, and even then I cannot browse freely. I have to press the letter or symbole of the last item in the window and this is really inconvenient. I tried restarting nvda, reconfigured it, even uninstalled a faulty synthesizer, so Im starting to think its either A, something in nvda I overlooked, or B, something in windows. Ive even restarted my computer several times since the problem started a few days ago. Any tips, suggestions, or solutions to the problem altogether? Some of you may know me as romulus in alter aeon. I was on a xp run in the bio labs with someone and I tried to give him the radiation suit so we could progress safely. but, he was carrying too much weight. I tried to tell him but then he said ok lets go and there was no wavering him. We progressed, he died, and called me stupid because I didnt wait for him to drop some wait. Electronics and plane travel Hello everyone. Tomorrow morning, I am flying off to L.A. For the finals of the braille challenge. Anyways, back on topic. the only electronics I have at my disposal at this time while my Pac Mate is in for servicing are my iPhone and my laptop. On previous plane trips, I have heard the flight attendants say, phones are never permitted, but the other day, my mom brought to my attention that there is airplane mode on my phone, as well as on my computer. my question/questions to you guys is/are: 1. Are phones unable to be used on airplanes regardless of the airplane mode feature? and 2. Am I able to use my laptop on the flight, and do I need to turn on airplane mode for it to work correctly? your favorite heroes Hello all. Now, before I go into this, I need to say a few things. For one, I realize some of you dislike superheroes, like them but hate there movies, or dislike both heroes and there movies. I just need to say, please dont bring that in here. This is a topic for superhero nerds like myself to talk about heroe, villains, superhero movies, and any and all things superhero. Ill start us off. While Superman may be a huge part of the comic book industry today, he remains lower on my top ten list of favorite heroes and villains. Heres the list:10. Lex Luthor: Villainwhile lex luthor may be a huge part of the dc universe, he always kind of annoyed me. He is a great fighter in the game Injustice: Gods among us, but hes kind of just a cocky, stuck up rich guy that hates superman. But, his technologies and evil schemes are quite entertaining.9. The Joker: VillainI always liked Batman, but when it comes to villains, Joker just annoys me. Oh, the heath Ledger one from the dark Knight was brilliant, but the Joker from such games as Injustice, Mk VS DCU, and such movies as Batman: Assault on Arkham just annoyed me. However, he always knows how to play a good, though deadly, prank.8. Ghost Rider: AntiHeroWhile Marvel Universe is second best to DC in my book, ghost rider always stood out. With his demonic visage, badass motorcycle and amazing weapon, I find him fascinating and just downright bone-chillingly awesome.7. Green Lantern: HeroNow Green Lantern is cool. With his power ring to create anything he wants, he can prove quite formidable. If you saw the movie, you know why. That anti aircraft gun was amazing.6. Green Arrow: HeroGreen arrow is almost, but not quite in the top 5 because a. Hes not really my favorite, and b. I dont really see how he can be so cool when all he can do is shoot arrows really well. All that aside, Ollie Quenn is funny, cocky, and he has his own sho w for christ sake. But other than that, hes just, meh. He still gets slot number 6.5. Doomsday: VillainNow this monstrosity is amazing.He can crush straight through the earth, take a beating from superman and not be staggered, hell, hes even beaten superman. Hes a powerhouse you shouldnt mess with.4. Zod: VillainZod is awesome. He knows Kal-El, Supermans past, and he knows how to weaponize that. He brings out the fight in Superman, and is basically what the Joker is to Batman, other than Lex Luthor.3. Superman: HeroSuperman is great. He brings what I love to superhero movies. Awesome fight scenes, destruction, and giant fists in villains faces.2. Wonder Woman: HeroineNo, this isnt girly. I find wonder Woman very very attractive, plus, Im technically dating her. Shes got a warriors heart, a womans kindness, and that right amount of supermodel beauty that makes her amazing .1. Batman: HeroBatman is my favorite, unchallenged. He has a massive array of gadgets, another massive array of sidekicks, no powers, but he makes up for it in his pure awesomeness. He has taken down superman, fought off the Joker many times, and has only been broken once, by the muscleman know as Bane. That concludes my top ten list, lets get going, fellow nerds! I Broke the high tom and base heads, and replaced the high tom with a double plied head, and the base with an Aquarian superkick. I have 3 toms, a Zilgian ride cymbal, the original hi-hat, the snare, of course, and a 16 inch Kasza crash cymbal. I have moon gels on all of my toms but they still ring alot for some reason. Im going to try and find a new set as well, maybe a Ludwig and make my cymbal setup Paiste. Life After A breakup Hello everyone. So, Monday night, my now ex girlfriend skyped me and told me itd be better if we split up. Of course I was saddened by the news and agreed half-heartedly. But later, while sitting on the couch and watching Harry Potter, I got to thinking: Im going about this all wrong. While Im sitting here being all sad about it, Im missing oppurtunitys to meet new people, do new things. So, I gave myself 2 choices. 1. I sit here and be depressed because a girl thought it wasnt working out. Or 2. Move on, have a happy life, find another girl, stay in contact with my ex because we are still good friends, and, again, be happy. I chose the latter option. So its been almost a week, I texted her tuesday or Wednesday morning, kindly letting her know Id stay in contact but would indeed be moving on. She agreed. Theres a girl I like. I might ask her out, and it may be a bit soon, but again, see the options I wrote above. Lifes to short to gi ve certain things time. I may be coming off as a jerk, a player, someone who doesnt take relationships seriously. This is not true, because I have held a 1 year relationship before. And that girl and I are still good friends. So, for some of you teenagers here on the forum, remember that you have those 2 options and, yes, you may have been extremely attached to her. But if that attachment isnt mutual, the relationship will quickly stagnate and one of you will snap and say something that will ruin all possibilities of a friendship. Just my thoughts. Reactions to action: Movies Hello all. So, after playing a game today and hearing a really cool car crash sound, I thought about how awesome action movies and dramatized Sci-fi books are. Like is there anything then better then the whirring of the servo-motors in a robots arm as it raises its cannon? Then the sound of it cocking said cannon? Then the mechanical sound of it moving its arm to aim? Then, the best part... The shot. What Im really here to say is, what are your standpoints on action movies? From what I heard, hes pretty cool. Clayface is pretty cool as well, but one of my current favorites is supergirl. My Story Outline Hi all. So Im thinking of writing a zompocalypse story that takes place in the fantasy time period, whatever that is. Heres the idea. Youve got your run of the mill undead warriors but these ones are intelligent. Also, the selite warriors ride undead dragon-like demonic creatures called the gravebound. Theyre damn near impossible to kill and have the ability to breathe Hellfire. And the supreme threat is King of The Undead, king Gorelock, a tall, heavily muscled undead wearing black armor and a helmet that fully encases his head shaped exactly like a human skull, riding a huge, blood red Gravebound with a massive spiked ball flail that produces more undead at his will. Re: Who would win? Prime does have one potentially fatal flaw... He allows himself to be beaten down before coming back to finish off his opponent. With Ultron, he cant exactly do that. He could let one body beat him down then kill it but then theres allways the other tobotic forms of Ultron. Unless Prime has a way of transferring Ultron to an isolated data grid, I think that Ultron would win.
