Indeed, and also means that the drive is probably ready to move, but not seeing step-pulses. With the test window open, open a terminal and type halcmd loadusr halmeter pin hm2_5i25.0.stepgen.00.counts That should open a halmeter window, and you can check that LinuxCNC thinks that step pulses are being sent (you can select to look at different stepgens if necessary) If the "counts" pin isn't moving then it is probably a scaling problem, perhaps you need to move a whole inch (mm?) to create a single step pulse. If it is moving only slightly, then check that the motor isn't moving imperceptibly. If it moves a lot, and the motor isn't moving, then perhaps you have a wiring error, or the pulse length is too short, or you are not wired to the correct header. -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1916 -- Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot ___ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users

There is an optional ENA, but it sounds like a disable actually. [Emc-users] how to configure motors in pncconf?
Hello, I am trying to configure motors in pncconf with 7i76 board, I have selected the tab 'connector 2' and then selected a X-Axis StepGen which shows a StepGen-A and DirGen-B, but testing the motor with the panel it doesn'tg move. is this the right thing to do?
