re: Book Print Settings (non) persistence

2015-05-26 Thread Shlomo Perets
Charles,

You wrote:

 requiring do-overs. I'm using Microtype's TimeSavers, so I haven't
experimented
 with Save As PDF. ..

When specifying the PDF settings for the book, make sure to first select all
items In the book window (including the top book entry), then use Format
Document PDF Setup (or proceed directly to File Save as PDF).

Save as PDF works fine in conjunction with FrameMaker-to-Acrobat
TimeSavers; at least with FM8 or later, no need to restrict yourself to
using print to .PS and then distill.

Making the most out of FrameMaker's graphic tools (Feb 19, 1-hour webinar)

2015-02-16 Thread Shlomo Perets
Free; no fluff, no hype, no nonsense

Thursday, Feb. 19, starting 10am PST (6pm UTC)

https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/7025015449923721218

FrameMaker's graphic tools may seem pretty basic, but there is still a lot
you can do with them. Sometimes having them at your fingertips is more
convenient than

using complex drawing software. But still many FrameMaker users do not know
how to make the most of these built-in tools.

This session is packed with tips and tricks. For example:

. Five different uses of Shift key when using the graphic tools?

. Six ways to select objects (other than simply clicking an object)

. Controlling alignment effectively

. Adjusting shapes and line/arrow styles

. Reshaping techniques

and much more

RE: Problem with embedded video continues unresolved

To: framers@lists.frameusers.com

I upgraded from FM7 to 12 in the fall. When the program was installed, we
verified that the PDF Creation add-on was not selected. The computer also has
Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, which we reverted to when we discovered that Acrobat 11
keeps telling me that I need to install the required version of Flash Player,
even though I already have the up-to-date Flash Player already on this
computer.

In a nutshell, here is what is happening.

-- With the above configuration, I import (by reference) an MP4 clip into the
FM document and Save as PDF.

-- When I open the pdf, the pictograph for the video is not interactive.

-- Today, I tried to start over with a spare notebook. Before I loaded
anything, I verified that all Adobe programs were uninstalled (the notebook
include Adobe Air, Adobe Help, Acrobat 9, and FM 12). I then ran Cache Cleaner
(Piriform), both the cache cleaner and the registry fix, repeatedly until no
issues were found.

-- I then restarted the notebook and installed programs, in the following
order:

- FM12, with PDF creation add on unchecked. Restarted notebook after
install.

- Acrobat 9 Pro Extended (same version that is running on my work
computer), typical install. Restarted the notebook.

-- Opened FM 12 and created a document using a stock template (UserGuide,
Chapter.fm). Filled 2 pages with text, then, at a new paragraph, imported an
older mp4 how-to file that I had on my hard drive. I allowed FM to Fit in
Selected Rectangle.

-- Saved the document as untitled, then clicked on Save as PDF.

-- Opened the PDF. The stock filmstrip icon was interactive and worked!

-- Opened the FM doc again, deleted the video clip that worked and inserted one
that had sound. Saved as PDF. Opened the pdf, icon was interactive, but when
clicked only sound played; no picture.

-- Closed FM, opened FM doc. Deleted the video clip frame, then inserted the
one that worked (as above). Saved the file, then Saved as pdf. Opened the pdf
and this time, the icon was not interactive.

-- I repeated this procedure, this time inserting the video clip with sound
that would play only sound and no video in pdf. This time, the icon was not
interactive. So in both cases I went from video working in some form to nothing
working.

This seems totally insane. Any ideas? I'm completely baffled by this.

Today: 1-hr FM2PDF webinar -- Calling attention to items using Acrobat notes

2014-07-17 Thread Shlomo Perets
Free; no fluff, no hype, no nonsense

Thursday, July 17

Starting 10am PT = 1pm ET = 5pm GMT = 8pm Israel

https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/399495486

Sometimes it is beneficial to call attention to specific pages or items
within a document.

For example, when releasing an update of a large document, you may want to
call attention to specific updated items, or during review iterations you
want your reviewers to take note of particular issues that need to be
addressed. Or you may want to add information that is not included in the
actual document, such as printing recommendations. You can use Acrobat
notes, which are readily visible in the Comments pane in Reader or when
paging through the document, for all of the above.

Using the FrameMaker-to-Acrobat TimeSavers add-on, you can define such notes
through ~Note hypertext markers embedded in the source FrameMaker files,
with complete control of the note's properties: icon, title, color,
location, initial open/closed state. When defining longer notes or for
future maintenance purposes, text for the note can be stored in an external
text file.

Can anyone tell me if FM12 has fixed the problem in which character formats

Behavior in FM12 is as in previous versions; this is probably by design
and not something listed to be fixed/changed.

As to a workaround: not necessarily feasible for your work, but if your
character format uses a different font family, the italic/bold etc will be
carried over.

I'm especially excited about the search with regular expressions. If that
helps me easily modify the markers I'm inserting using Shlomo Peret's Form
Assist, that will be a huge TimeSaver for me (pun intended).

Max, maybe you can schedule a webinar by Shlomo highlighting this use of

Today: 1-hr webinar, TW comments that cannot be ignored!

2014-01-23 Thread Shlomo Perets
Free; no fluff, no hype, no nonsense; Thu, Jan 23, starting 10am PST

Register at: https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/784496246

Often a writer will want to ask for clarification, ask for approval for a
change the writer has initiated, or add a comment about a missing item for
future reference. However, SMEs and reviewers do not always notice/respond
to such notes -- which of course leads to additional iterations and
frustrations.

This webinar demonstrates how to create a dedicated paragraph format in
FrameMaker, to be used to insert questions and comments. The style has a
unique design intended to make the TW question/comment stand out. You can
include automatic numbering to help identify a specific item. In addition,
you can create a list of all TW comments as a generated file.
Yet even with all of these techniques, writer's comments tend to be
overlooked.

The solution is to have these comments automatically appear as comments in
the PDF, raising visibility and helping the SME/reviewer to jump from one
comment to the next in the PDF.

Optional: a message indicating the number/location of open TW notes can be
displayed when the PDF is closed (through the DocWillClose action)

(no add-ons necessary)

the PDF, raising visibility and helping the SME/reviewer to jump from one
comment to the next in the PDF.

Optional: a message indicating the number/location of open TW notes can be
displayed when the PDF is closed (through the DocWillClose action)

I - index markers

M - markers, further identified by type (eg M8 for hypertext markers)

G - reflect the unique ID for the paragraph in FrameMaker

E - element-related (Structured FM)

Most of the destinations are used as target for links or bookmarks, and are

Hi. I am looking for information regarding the Named Destinations that
FrameMaker (I use Frame v10) generates when creating a PDF. Specifically,
I'd like to verify/know what the following prefixes mean. I have tried to
ascertain what the designations mean by clicking on them in the PDF, but
some aren't as obvious as others.

F (as is F#): This appears to mean the First page of a Frame file, confirmed
by my clicking on the destination link, and per a reference on the Adobe
User-to-User forum.

G (as in G#.###): This one perplexes me. It seems to be random
paragraphs. I did find someone on the Adobe User-to-User forums who wrote
that G destinations meant paragraph objects.

I (I#.#.###): Are these for Index markers?

L (L#): This appears to mean the Last page of a Frame file.

M (M#.#.#.[figures, tables, headings, etc. tag names followed by the
title): Various Markers in the file (also identified as such by an Adobe
U-to-U forum poster)?

P (P.#$##, where $ is a Letter in my generated PDF: P.3C15): I have no idea.

Thanks!

Setting the money discussion aside (fascinating as it is), I'd be interested
to hear how Frame 12 handles the road.

Is it stable?

Do the new features work as advertised?

How do the resulting HMTL5, Kindle, and other save-as formats look and
behave?

Shlomo, do TimeSavers and your other plugins work with v12 as they are, or
is there further action required?

Frank/Marjorie, is a corresponding FrameScript version due out soon?

Does Cudspan's TemplateMapper work with v12? (Admittedly I was on v7 when I
last used TemplateMapper, but I'm now on v10 and may have need of this
functionality again soon.)

Anything else of interest?

PDF supports this functionality, but there are no built-in hypertext markers

FrameMaker that will let you define it.

Other than linking manually (and re-doing this whenever the PDF is updated),

it is possible to use custom hypertext markers in the source FM file, in
conjunction

with TimeSavers + Embed shortcuts to embed PDFs (or other file types), as

as define links / bookmarks to the embedded items. Sample PDF produced this

ANN Today: Defining Form Fields in FrameMaker Files webinar (free)

(free; no fluff, no hype, no nonsense)

l Nov. 21: Defining PDF form fields in source FrameMaker files (with
TimeSavers + Form Asst v3)

Adding form fields to PDFs in Acrobat manually is labor-intensive. Using
FrameMaker-to-Acrobat TimeSavers Form Assistant, you can take advantage of
all of FrameMaker capabilities to author documents (e.g. live forms and
checklists) that, upon conversion to PDF, will automatically contain text
fields, check boxes, radio buttons and additional controls.

With Form Asst v3, marker can be also inserted through Marker Builder dialog
boxes (this feature is implemented through Extendscript, included with FM10
or later) -- this will be demonstrated in today's webinar as well.

2013-06-14 Thread Shlomo Perets
Theresa,

You wrote:

How to I get a Variable, Marker or Variable, Hypertext of someone's

None of the command options under Variable, Hypertext look reasonable.

 I think I want
mailto:t...@bstw.com

but what goes in front of it?

If it is a hypertext marker (Special Hypertext, or Special Marker,
hypertext type), then you need:
message URL mailto:t...@bstw.com
(message should be all lower case, URL all caps)

This will result in a clickable link in the PDF you generate; apply a
character format if you need to also make the link visible.

Variables cannot be interactive, so this won't work when the e-email address
is stored in a variable. (A text inset -- storing the text link and marker
-- may be used instead, if you anticipate changes to the mail address)

RE: Access - Frame - pdf. Help with a (fun) project, maybe?

2013-05-28 Thread Shlomo Perets
With respect to PDF bookmarks: using TimeSavers, you can define custom
bookmarks (or multiple sets of custom bookmarks) that appear every time the
PDF is created. You can control all aspects of these bookmarks as part of
the specification (text/appearance/targets etc.).

The custom bookmarks can be defined through a configuration file (in which
case, nothing is changed in the source FM file) and/or through custom
markers in the specific FM file.

Standard bookmarks as generated by FM (pointing to paragraphs in the same
PDF) are handled as usual, through the PDF Setup dialog box in FrameMaker.

Subject: Access - Frame - pdf. Help with a (fun) project, maybe?

Hi Framers,

I have an Access database which holds records for a crime fiction story,
collaboratively written by a number of authors. On a repeating basis, I need
to publish this story in a form which I can then attach to a website so
that readers (and the collaborating authors) can see how the story is doing.
Originally I posted each author as webpage using basic html, unremarkably
named Chapter X, but now I'm moving the story around, so I would like to
maintain the story in only one place, i.e. in the Access database.

I am unable to use any of Access' tools for exporting to XML or Text or
Excel and import into either Word or Frame. (They all fail). I am able to
export directly from an Access report to a pdf but this has the disadvantage
that I manually have to add Bookmarks, etc., so I am thinking of getting the
data into Frame and then using MicroType's Frame-to-Acrobat tools.

The story itself is in BookComponent.StoryText. The order of the
BookComponents is goverened by BookComponent.Sortnum.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Theresa

P.S. In case you happen to like crime fiction, we've got some great (and
famous) authors, so please visit our story:

If the only option is subscription, the reason people will keep paying is to
keep their access to the software, instead of paying for upgrades due to
improvements. This reduces Adobe's incentive to add new features that they
normally would add in order to convince people to upgrade. The upside might
be that instead of working on new features they could focus on stability,
but the lack of incentive to improve sounds like it will hurt the user in
the long run.

In all fairness, if Adobe is insisting on a guaranteed income, they should
be willing to lower the price in order to get that guarantee. So the price
of the subscription should be lower than the price of constant upgrades. I'm
under the impression that the subscription is about the same price as
constant upgrades.

Distiller). So even if one does not have Acrobat installed, creation of PDFs
from within FrameMaker, with full support for interactive features / pdfmark
processing etc. is available (no less than the creation support available
with Distiller in the full version of Acrobat). [BTW I know of a few
TimeSavers users who installed TimeSavers/Assistants in conjunction with the
PDF Creation Add-on].

So the discussion should really be as to alternatives for Acrobat in case
one need to edit/modify PDFs, and not on creation of PDFs authored with
FrameMaker.

Hi everyone,

A while ago, we had this discussion about replacements for Acrobat, from a
FrameMaker perspective. Seemed like not much was available. At the time,
Rick mentioned that any replacement would need to provide support for
PDFmarks PostScript code (if I have that correct). So I wrote off to various
vendors. Most had either never heard of this or do not support it. But one
vendor, PDFill (see below), sent back this link to look at:

http://www.pdfill.com/pdf_batch_command.html#9

Rick (and others :), I don't know enough to know whether this information
has any connection at all with PDFmarks PostScript code. Would you (anyone
with the expertise) be willing to take a look ... it's quite brief, I think.

Thank you kindly,

Elchanan

Enable and encourage user input in PDFs (viewed with Adobe Reader)

with FrameMaker-to-Acrobat TimeSavers + Form Assistant

Half-hour webinar (free; no fluff, no hype, no nonsense)

Wednesday, June 5, starting 9am PDT

Register at: https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/157658438

Enabling PDFs for various types of user input can strengthen the interaction
between users and the content, and improve satisfaction due to greater user
involvement/control. In addition, designated avenues for user input can
contribute to documentation quality and provide outlet for frustration, for
example by sending inputs regarding the documentation or the product
directly from within the PDF.

Techniques demonstrated in this webinar include features that are all
embedded in PDFs that are viewed with the free Adobe Reader:

. text fields where users can record data values and options

. checkboxes to track progress

. page marks and notes (optionally e-mailed)

. embedded grading/feedback forms

. storing of useful search queries within the PDF for future use

RE: OT: Acrobat printing bug with logical page numbers

2013-05-07 Thread Shlomo Perets
Rick,

I have a PDF file set up with logical page numbering. If I want to print

Acrobat X and XI and the problem occurs in both. I am pretty sure it
worked
in early versions, but I don't know what version it stopped working on. Is
 this a known issue? Thanks.

The hyphen in the page label is ambiguous, as it is also used to specify
page ranges. Technically, if page labels use a dash instead of a hyphen, it
is possible to get the expected result (e.g. print page 7-10 only). However,
having to type Alt-0150 instead of a hyphen in the Print dialog box
outweighs the inconvenience of getting to the right page (and to make it
even worse, it is not interpreted properly when typed in the Current Page
field).

As a workaround (when chapter numbers are used), one could type the page
label in the Current Page field, then print, selecting Current page (or
select the pages to be printed in the Pages/Thumbnails pane, then
right-click and select Print Pages).

Unfortunately, Adobe's support for page labels in recent versions of
Acrobat/Reader is not as consistent as it used to be. Starting with v6, page
numbers in the tool tips for search results relate to the physical numbers
in the PDF, not to the page labels (actual page numbers).

With the FM built-in support for interactive media, Save as PDF is

If you print to a .ps file and distill it, SWF/FLV/3D will not be

Unrelated to interactive media, with FM8 or later Save as PDF works fine

And, furthermore, the Tooltip capability does not apply to the HTML output

So, with standalone FrameMaker saving as PDF , one could equally place

Custom font renders different when saving as PDF vs print PS and distill

Since this CMYK support was introduced in FrameMaker 9, it was associated
with various problems in PDF outputs (seemingly unrelated to color).

In FrameMaker 9 (with all patches applied), having the CMYK option on still
transforms the standard Arial Narrow and Arial Black fonts to Times New
Roman in PDFs, and Palatino Linotype text becomes ornaments. This specific
problem was experienced with FrameMaker 10 as well (or possible even 11)l,
but was likely addressed with later patches.

As a general practice with FM9 or later, unless you have a specific need for
CMYK PDFs (and take the time/effort to check the output), I highly recommend
turning ON "Convert CMYK Colors to RGB" in the Save as PDF dialog box (i.e.
have output generated in the FM8 or earlier mode).

ANN: Jan 31, half-hr walkthrough -- Creation of an interactive PDF checklist with FM-to-Acrobat TimeSavers+Form Asst

2013-01-30 Thread Shlomo Perets

(free; no fluff, no hype, no nonsense)

Checklists are an extremely useful tool when consistency and completeness of
a complex task are required. Interactive checklists provide the
functionality of paper-based checklists, with the added benefit of
automation, validation, export to a database, and electronic
access/archiving.

Creating a PDF that uses form fields does not mean that the checklist is
designed purely for on-screen use. The same document can serve both for
print and online purposes.

Although it is possible to create forms in Acrobat, adding form fields
manually is labor-intensive. Using FrameMaker-to-Acrobat TimeSavers Form
Assistant, you can take advantage of all of FrameMaker capabilities to
author documents that, upon conversion to PDF, will automatically contain
text fields, check boxes, radio buttons and additional controls.

These destinations are typical destinations present in PDFs generated from
FrameMaker -- for paragraphs, markers, pages.

With TimeSavers, you can optionally have a prefix in newlink hypertext
markers, so that the variable m8.newlink / mX.8.newlink prefix is not
present in the PDF.

For example, newlink TMS StartingPoint will result in a clean/consistent
StartingPoint named destination in the PDF.

See http://www.microtype.com/ImprovePDF12.html for more information /
examples.

Looks like it's Timesavers version 5.5. I attempted to install it when I
upgraded to FM 9;

I see the Timesavers menu when I have an individual file open but not with
just a book file,

I'm not sure if that's right or not. I haven't had time to devote to
learning Timesavers yet, unfortunately.

Indeed, the TimeSavers menu is present only at the document level, not when
the focus is in a book file. This does not affect functionality/processing
in any way. When you Save as PDF or distill with Distiller settings that
activate TimeSavers, its various functions are applied automatically as part
of the distilling.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any TimeSavers-related issue. As
needed, we can hold a brief web session to discuss/troubleshoot further.

FrameMaker 10 does not start (licensing expired)

2013-01-01 Thread Shlomo Perets

As of this morning, when starting FM10 a message indicating licensing
expired shows up, and the program would not run.

(likely related to the change of year -- best wishes for 2013!)

Other FM10 users in different locations encountered a similar problem.

The Adobe chat representative suggested contacting Adobe tech support by
phone, where I (expectedly) got a closed for the holiday message.

FM11, FM9 and FM8 do start as expected.

Thanks and best wishes to you too, Anjaneai!

I tried solutions 1 and 2, with no success. Restarting the 'Flexnet
Licensing Service' and 'Flexnet Licensing Service 64' did not help either.

Not yet desperate enough to try solution 3, which involves uninstalling FM
and re-installing it -- perhaps the problem in Adobe licensing services
will be fixed in the meantime? (as other FM10 users encountered the problem
and more and more will likely encounter it when they are back from holiday)

Unfortunately, I don't think this will be something that can be resolved

I forgot to mention another temporary potential workaround: set the
computer's date a few days earlier (so that you are still in 2012).
However, this may introduce other problems with security software, e-mail

As of this morning, when starting FM10 a message indicating "licensing
expired" shows up, and the program would not run.
(likely related to the change of year -- best wishes for 2013!)

Other FM10 users in different locations encountered a similar problem.

The Adobe chat representative suggested contacting Adobe tech support by
phone, where I (expectedly) got a "closed for the holiday" message.

FM11, FM9 and FM8 do start as expected.

ANN: 1-hr webinar: Multimedia in PDFs (with FM-to-Acrobat TimeSavers+Multimedia Asst), Dec 12

Wed, Dec 12, starting 10am PST
(free; no hype, no fluff, no nonsense)

With Multimedia Assistant (FM-to-Acrobat TimeSavers extension), you use
hypertext markers to define access (embed or link) to multimedia files in
all formats supported by Acrobat/Reader, so that the defined features
(including media settings and bookmarks to media) are automatically present
in the PDF file.

Movies defined this way can also be web-based -- served from your company's
site, or from video hosting services such as Screencast, Vimeo, CloudFront,
Youtube

For some PDF examples of what can be done, please visit the Showcase
section at http://microtype.com (Multimedia Asst section) -- I will
demonstrate/discuss these examples (and more) in the webinar.

Re: newlinks and gotolinks in Acrobat

Rick,

newlink marker as you would expect. However, after you make the PDF, the
link no longer goes to the location of the named destination created by the
newlink marker, but it goes to the named destination of the paragraph
containing the marker. In most cases, you won't notice it, but if the
paragraph starts on a different page than the marker location, then it
becomes a problem.

Interestingly, a named destination for the newlink marker is created in the
PDF, but the link does not point to that destination; it points to the named
destination for the paragraph, which is at the start of the paragraph.

Frankly, I am dumbfounded by this behavior. I tested it in FrameMaker 8 and
10 and it works the same. It looks like a case of Adobe trying to help,
but for this client, it makes these links unusable in many cases.

If you are having trouble visualizing what I am talking about, you can
download a sample PDF at

http://www.rickquatro.com/resources/LinkTest.pdf

or a zip file containing both the FrameMaker file and PDF:

http://www.rickquatro.com/resources/LinkTest.zip

The behavior you accurately describe can be indeed seen in the PS file
created from a FrameMaker file; it is very likely hard-coded with no way
to control or change it in FrameMaker.

If this client uses the FrameMaker-to-Acrobat TimeSavers add-on, a custom
hypertext marker can link to the specified named destination rather than to
the automatically-generated paragraph ID.

The following definition should be added to the TS-custom.ini file:

/~NamedDestLink %% link to a named destination in the same PDF
  % use: alert ~NamedDestLink /destination
  { TS_LinkProps /A /GoTo /Dest [ } { (n) ( /Subtype /Link /ANN )
TS_Validate  }

  TS-Shortcut %%%

And then pairs such as the following would achieve the direct linking to
the destination:

newlink TMS linkname456
alert ~NamedDestLink /linkname456

Ctrl-Alt-clicking the link in FrameMaker will not go to the destination
(but only display the marker text), but you will see the expected result in
the PDF.

Jody,

I am hoping to create cross-document links (external cross references)

Standard cross references don't meet our needs because it is important
for our links to be relative links rather than absolute links, so that
we can move our PDFs from where they are creaated to the distribution
folders. To create relative links that work in our PDF output, I
create a hypertext link pointing to the PDF version of the manual I am
referencing as follows (it is important to know the NAME of that PDF
file ahead of time):
 * Create a hypertext link where Command = Message Client.
 * Use this syntax: message openfile ../foldername/filename

...

message openfile filename will only open the target PDF at the default
opening page, and cannot be adjusted to open a specific destination in the
PDF file.

To create cross-document links that open the target PDF at a specific
destination, cross-references or gotolink/newlink hypertext markers can be
used.
There is no difference between the two methods with respect to
absolute/relative path, but there are quite a few aspects you need to know
in advance and control accordingly-- target file name and path of the end
deliverables, book vs. chapter destination, output methods (and testing the
end-result is always recommended).

From the top, there is:

-Author (Heading3)
-Author weblink (Link)

When I save this document to pdf, bookmarks are created using Paragraph

The difficulty is that when the pdf ViewPage Display is set to Enable
Scrolling--when one clicks on the pdf bookmarks for Title, the display
puts the Title at the top of view which means that the author has
disappeared and it seems as though the author of the following story
belongs to the current story. ...

FrameMaker named destinations (used by bookmarks/links) point to the
horizontal/vertical location of the target on the page, not just to the
page itself. This is recommended in almost all cases.
No way to control this from FrameMaker or Acrobat (other than setting the

I ran a quick test with FM 9/Acrobat Pro 8, and Acrobat Pro automatically

find how to prevent it from doing this). You might want to give the
address a character tag in FM to make it look like a link.

Inserting a hypertext marker, as described by Rick Quatro and Syed Zaeem
Hosain, which results in an Acrobat link, is recommended.

When you don't insert the marker, you may still see what looks like a
link, because of the Acrobat/Reader feature of detecting links in the
content (EditPreferences, General; in versions 8/9/X it is called Create
Links from URLs, in version 7 Automatically detect URLs from text).

This detection has some limitations, depending on the Acrobat/Reader
version used by your end users; it is not available with Reader versions
earlier than 7 (and may also also not be available in non-Adobe PDF viewers)

To have fully-functional e-mail links in all versions of Reader, I
recommend adding hypertext links in FrameMaker, so that real e-mail links
are present in the PDF (and not relying on auto-detected ones).

Is this the correct target? If so, I am probably missing the great stories...

This sheet is rather strange!

The title of this sheet says "Customers and partners praise Adobe
FrameMaker 10", yet the quotes are ALL by partners of various types
(trade-show representatives for Adobe, resellers, consultants working
for/with Adobe) and only one customer [?] -- who wrote several white papers
for Adobe, authored the FM9 Reviewer's Guide, and is now in the position of
Product Evangelist at Adobe Systems [

]
[or perhaps the customers referred to in the title are quoted elsewhere?]

In what looks like a long list of people praising FrameMaker, two people
are quoted three times, another person is quoted twice. And not all of the
quotes are really specific to FrameMaker 10.

Those looking for a FM 10 review may want to search the web for "FrameMaker
10 Review"; the top result is an excellent review by Sarah O'Keefe of
Scriptorium.
