Re: [Audyssey] MOTA beta 4
Hi, Darn right! I made them harder to kill and like the new enemies stamina. Each enemy has their own stamina levels so a centaur is tougher to take down than a harpy or skeleton. Skeletons are kind of on the wimpy side so they are easier to take down than a harpy. Adds a little challenge to the game. Charles Rivard wrote: Darn! you! Thomas! Ward!! Re: [Audyssey] Can't connect to the Hary Potter mud
Hi. I would imagine the mud has your ISP banned for some reason. Are you able to connect from a different internet connection if you have access to one? I was able to connect with monkey Term with no problems, and I coppied the information in your email and used that. It might be a firewal, but if you're just using windows firewal then it's probably not your firewal, as once you unblock monkey Term for the first time with windows firewal, there doesn't seem to be any problem connecting to any mud with different port numbers and such. Can you tell me the vb errors when they appear? If you installed MTScripts and are using the JAWS scripts you can just hit insert+c on a line to copy it. It may be the one that appears when the xml file is first open, which I've fixed in the next version. If that's what it is, it doesn't actually break anything worth trying to fix. If I knew what the error message said, I might be able to either say that's the one I fixed in the next version, or try to figure out how to fix it. - Original Message - From: Ann To: Gamers Discussion list Sent: Saturday, April 11, 2009 8:52 PM Subject: [Audyssey] Can't connect to the Hary Potter mud Hi folks, Okay, I'm trying out Monkeyterm, and VIP Mud, and aside from quite a few Microsoft VB errors that keeps popping up in Monkeyterm, it seems to work fine. Re: [Audyssey] The arrow sounds in MOTA
Hi Milos, Good point. Looks like we have a miner bug on our hands. Should have this one taken care of in beta 5. As for the bow and arrow sounds if and when I find something more realistic sounding I'll definitely use it. Smile. Milos Przic wrote: Hello all, This message will be a little longer, although this can be said in less words than I will say. Anyway, I don't know why people think that the sound of the arrows in the previous versions of Mota is better when it is not realistic. The new sound is better, but there is another problem. For example, when I hit a monster with the arrow, the monster is hit although the sound of the bowstring is still playing, so the arrow is not released from the bow. I think that this fact is more important than the arrow sound itself, but I also know that it can be a difficult for Thomas, because I don't know much about programing languages, and don't know if the code of the language Thomas is working in can support that. Hi Charles, How observent of you. In fact that sound I used in Beta 4 was suppose to be from a crossbow. I'm not sure how realistic or unrealistic it is, but I liked it so used it. Smile. Charles Rivard wrote: What bad English? It's better than some whose first language actually is English. I would think that the sound of the string and the arrow in flight and maybe the sound of the arrow hitting the monsters are different sounds, and they are played in sequence. Maybe the sound of the string could be shortened just a bit to solve this little sound effect?
