Re: [Audyssey] Simutronics muds, paying with paypal?

2010-08-30 Thread Oriol Gómez
I don't think you can pay with paypal. Anyway, simutronics games
aren't really that good, and thehy're going to rip you off $30 a month
just so you can play a game. Also, these games are heavily rp. Before
paying, youa lso have to consider that in order to login to them
accessibly you need to sort of hack the system by downloading a
temporary file taht the site gives you, ertc etc all in all its kind
of a pain.

[Audyssey] Simutronics muds, paying with paypal?

2010-08-30 Thread Sarah Haake

Hi,

I just now looked in the archives of the list to find the message explaining
how to log into simutronics games with telnet or another mud client. In one
of these messages, someone said that it's possible to pay for the games with
paypal.
Well, I went to the site of dragon realms and looked at the sign up form,
but there is only an option to enter credit card info. Nothing about paypal
at all.
But I don't have a credit card and don't live in the US, so I cirtainly
don't want to send any forms or checks with the normal mail.
So, is there a way to pay with paypal? Have I overlooked something or did
simutronics remove this option?

Thanks for any help.

Best regards
Sarah

[Audyssey] Cross-Platform Monopoly and Uno!

2010-08-30 Thread Ryan Smith
Hi Gamers,
We have been working hard the past few months, and we are proud to
present to you a brand new client capable of playing Monopoly, Uno,
and any other future multiplayer card and board games we create. Some
of the new features of the RS Games Client include the ability to be
played on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, no more dependencies on the
Windows version, automatic sound downloading (when we release a new
game, simply select the game from the menu, and you'll be playing in
no time without any work on your part), NVDA support, and much more!

Existing Monopoly users can simply download the new client, and login
with their Monopoly credentials to access both Monopoly and Uno. New
users can easily register, and gain access to both games as well.

We have also re-written the web client from scratch, featuring a brand
new interface and many bug fixes. To check out the RS Games Client,
visit www.rsgames.co.nr, and select either Monopoly or Uno.

Thank you.

Re: [Audyssey] BGT

2010-08-30 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Nicol,
Most definitely not. C++ is an all purpose programming language that
can be used to do low-level programming such as writing an operating
system’s kernel, drivers, etc all the way up to high-level programming
like games, text editors, and similar day to day applications. Cobol
is a specific programming language for writing reports and things like
that. In other words Cobol is pretty much useless to a programmer
unless he works for a company that needs to generate a lot of reports,
forms, etc. That's why in the scheme of things Cobol is being replaced
by languages like Python, Perl, and Ruby which can do the same thing
and are easier to use.

[Audyssey] An Announcement

2010-08-30 Thread dcoco62
I Offer this announcement for your Education. This came in from
http://vipconduit.com

Tuesday August 31

Voice Games

Hosted by David Greenwood
Location: VIP Event Center
Time: 9:00PM Eastern, Wednesday 1:00AM Universal
David will be assisting people with games he has produced.
Some of the games he has written are fairly complex, and an opportunity to
ask questions, receive answers, as well as an
online demo will help people enjoy the games more thoroughly.

This is the first in hopefully many workshops on accessible games.
The first session will work on demystifying some of the concepts and features
in the relatively new game, Time of Conflict.
We will field questions on everything from the basics to some of the more
useful but seemingly arcane elements of this war-time strategy game.
While this workshop targets people who have tried the game and would like to
get more from it, the session may also serve as a good introduction for
those who are new to the game.

David welcomes all who are interested, and encourages you to take the
opportunity to benefit from his knowledge and experience with voice games.

This event is open to everyone.

most of the keys except the jump key were explained.
another small thing with this game is if you have played side
scrolers before like pipe2 and superliam and mota then you probably
should know what you are doing.
Its a pitty you never finnished it phillip.

Hi Hayden,

The reason for this is because the game was never officially released. It
was a colaboration between myself and Kelly Sapergia from over 5 years ago
that never was finished. However, unfortunately one or more members of the
beta team distributed the beta version to others online which has resulted
in it leaking out. This is very unfortunate, but is not something that I can

do anything about. So if someone finds it and can figure out how to work it,

that's okay, but it has no documentation accompanying it and is not
supported.

I am sorry I could not be of any greater help.

Kind regards,

Hi,
In answer to your question the core of BGT was written in C/C++.
However, Angelscript was added on so you, the end user of BGT, could
write games using that scripting language and include the core BGT
C/C++ engine and libraries in your games.

Yes, the name of the game would have been called Soft Porn. The only
version I know of is the Inform version which can be played using
Frotz, Winfrotz, or something like that. You can find a copy in the
AIF inform directory here.

Re: [Audyssey] Dirty games

2010-08-30 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi,
I'm not sure. I think it was simply called Lara Croft or something
like that, and if memory serves me it was for Adrift version 3.9. I
took a look at the aif dcommunity directory and I think this might be
the right game, but I'd have to download it and check to be sure.
http://aifcommunity.org/games/adrift/version_3.9/Croft.zip
Oh, and those looking for Softporn for Frotz can find it here.
http://aifcommunity.org/games/inform/softporn.zip

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] Dirty games

2010-08-30 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hello, getting into specifics about the details of the games is
bordering on inappropriateness of the gamers list guide lines. So
instead, I can offer you the yahoo groups link in case you want to sign
up and find out more.

http://groups.yahoo.com/adultconf?dest=%2Fgroup%2Faifarchive%2F

Which is for the aifarchive group on yahoogroups. It has a files section
and many aif games are there. Another site is the aifarchive2 on
yahoogroups which was created to hold still yet more games. Lastly there
are games at www.aifcommunity.org as well as the game runners and many
reviews.

The 2 games i wrote are available from the above sites as well as from
www.asmodean.net/games on my site. They are called Last Week and Riding
Home. The Riding Home game is a small one and was entered into the 2008
AIF mini-comp and is about a blind guy who is riding home on the bus and
his adventure on that bus.

Many thanks.

Re: [Audyssey] Dirty games

2010-08-30 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Bryan,
Well, if you are truly interested in exploring adult interactive
fiction I'd recommend those written for Adrift or the ZCode games for
Frotz. Those seam to work best on Windows and Linux as well. The Eamon
Deluxe games have always given me troubles on XP, and on Windows 7
they simply don't run right at all. So I gave up the old Eamon text
adventures.

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] Dirty games

2010-08-30 Thread Thomas Ward
HiBryan,
Hahaha. Yeah, that would have sounded pretty bad on the Echo. Come to
think of it Eloquence doesn't sound much better when reading that. I'm
using Eloquence att the moment and all I can say is "ug!"
No, if I want to play an adult interactive fiction game I want a
female TTS voice that is remotely sexy to read it. Say AT&T Lorn,
Neospeech Kate, or something like that. The Real Speak Direct Sarina
voice wouldn't be too bad either. At least something human sounding.
Eloquence is definitely not good for adult interactive games at all.

Cheers!
