[Audyssey] The giant rats in sod

2009-01-23 Thread 0722001794
The sound of the giant rats in sod fascinates me.
I would like to share my experience I had with a meercat.
This little animal makes two types of sound and it reminds me of the giant
rats in sod.
this little animal, the meercat, his skin feels slightly like a dog's skin.
he is always very playful but his bite is sore.
he can easily cause little wounds with drops of blood but his intention is only
to play.
we were visiting friends on their farm and they own this meercat.
his name is sassy.
they actually had 2 but the other one got tramped by horses as she bit the
horses heels.
by playing with the meercat I learned 2 things about the giant rat in sod.
firstly, the character in sod must be a super human as the giant rats doesn't
take much of his health.
if I allow the meercat to bite me continuously in one place I would have ended
up with a huge wound.
and the meercat's bite is too sore to allow it to just bite me in one place.
so this character in sod must have a very high constitution.
although sod's character groan when the giant rat bites him because his health
slightly decreases it means he must be a superhuman which doesn't really exist.
secondly, either david should rename the giant rat to meercat or he must give a
much deeper growling sound to his giant rat.
to my mom the meercat sometimes looks like a rat and sometimes she thinks its a
raskle.
supposedly a rat is almost the same size as a meercat therefore also making a
high pitch squeaking sound so david's name for this monster doesn't fit.
I suppose my post is on topic as the gist of this post was:
discussing a game sound.
have anybody got to do with rats, meercats and raskles who can share their
experiences?
can anybody agree or disagree with me about the giant rat sound in sod?

Its like the super mario mod that was released a while back. All it does is
replace the sounds of the game to make it sound like something else. Though
I have to admit I'm curious how someone got max paine sounds to work in
super liam.

What are they? How will they affect the game? Is it legal, according to
the license agreement of the game, to install these and use them?

hi liam is there a chance you can host the upser liam mods that are
available, on your server at all?
obviously these would only work for those with the full game but then
for those who want the same game but just with differing sounds then we
 sorted

Hi all, first I think I made a mistake and posted this to the wrong list at
first so even though I can't do anything about that mistake I'm going to ask
the same thing here.

I just downloaded the demo version of pinball classic from draconis and for one
thing, I've never played pinball but I've heard the sounds of others playing.
I assumed that the object was to keep the ball from going to far either to the
right or left? so when i played the pacman table that's what I tried to do and
some how though I'm nto sure how I got like 3 million points? Can someone tell
me some tips on how to play pinball? I looked at the manual and it said to use
the shift keys for the flippers and that is what I did.

Hoping all that made sense.

[Audyssey] we are far behind the mainstream market in one big aspect

2008-10-25 Thread 0722001794
HI all
while watching my favorite soapie I heard in the story that a mother and her
son is playing a psp game together.
I have no idea what the genre is, I guess its 3d or side scroller.
both of them have a joystick AND THEY TRY TO BEAT ONE ANOTHER.
IT WILL BE VERY NICE IF 2 PEOPLE COULD PLAY AN AUDIO GAME TOGETHER.
IT WILL BE NICE, IF ME AND MY MOTHER COULD PLAY SUPER DEEKOUT FOR INSTANCE.
MY MOTHER IS FULLY SIGHTED BUT i CAN EASILY TEACH HER TO GET USED TO PLAYING A
GAME WITH ONLY SOUNDS.
THE ONLY GAME i KNOW OF WHERE 2 PEOPLE CAN PLAY SIMULTANEOUSLY IS SNOWBALL WAR
BUT YOU AND YOUR MATE HAVE TO USE THE SAME KEYBOARD
IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE AN AUDIO GAME WHERE YOU CAN CONNECT 2 KEYBOARDS TO A
PC SO THAT 2 PEOPLE CAN PLAY SIMULTANEOUSLY?
FOR example, the 2 people can see which of them can get to a coin first, who of
them can first get to a spawned item, etc.

[Audyssey] alien outback

2008-10-21 Thread 0722001794
HI all
NICOL HERE.
has anyone noticed that the background music in level4 sounds like the slow
sequence of a brain scan?
when I went for a brain scan the scan consisted of 3 sequences.
the first one was fast but NOT HEAVY.
THE SECOND SEQUENCE WAS A SLOW SEQUENCE.
AND THE THIRD SEQUENCE WAS HEAVY, IT SOUNDED LIKE MARILYN MANSON .
BUT THE MUSIC OF THE FOURTH LEVEL OF ALIEN OUTBACK REMINDED ME OF THE SECOND
SEQUENCE OF THE SCAN.
i WONDER IF THE SCAN IS DONE IN CERTAIN PATTERNS.
DOES IT MEAN IF i HEAR A SLOW OR A FAST SOUND PATTERN, THAT MY BRAIN WAS
SCANNED USING A FAST OR SLOWPATTERN?

[Audyssey] alien outback

2008-10-12 Thread 0722001794
HI all
You won't believe it! I have so many friends who buys me birthday presents.
I also got alien outback for my birthday.
I'm still new to the game and it will cost a lot of practice.
I have a suggestion for the music and ambients in the game.

there is a song I like very much: london by night.
so as music in game play I would like london by night played in the c chord by
a saw.
the sounds of the ships must also sound like a saw.
a saw is the thing used for wood but some people also play it as a musical
instrument.
THE SOUND OF THE SAW LETS ME THINK OF THE MOON.

[Audyssey] super deekout tip

2008-10-05 Thread 0722001794
Hello gamers
firstly, I just want to tell you all that I have now purchased myself a
bluetooth keyboard which I use on my mobile.
so now its much easier to type a message on my phone. its such a schlep to type
using my phone's numpad as each number contains more than one letter.
i HAVE DISCOVERED AN EASY WAY TO USE THE INVISIBLE CHEET IN SUPER DEEKOUT.
THIS IS DONE BY CREATING A SIMPLE JAWS SCRIPT.
STEP 1: LAUNCH SUPER DEEKOUT BUT DON'T SELECT START game yet. .
2. press insert plus f2 followed by s and press enter.
3. press control plus end to go to the bottom of the script file.
4. press control plus e to create a new script.
5. in the script name field type invisible.
6. press tab once and press spacebar.
 7. in the next two fields you can write a synopsis and description of what the
script do.
8. press alt plus a and press the letter i or any easy key you want to ASSIGN
TO THE SCRIPT and press enter.
9. press up and down arrow until you are on the blank line beneath the line
with the script name in it.
10. press control plus i for the function dialogue.
11. press tab until you are in a list box. now type the words type string. you
are now on the item type string. press enter.
12. type the following in the edit field. this will be the invisible cheet
surrounded by quotes:
zqyxg
press enter.
13. press ALT PLUS F4 AND ANSWER YES TO COMPILE. IF YOU GOT ANY ERRORS GO BACK
INTO SCRIPT MANAGER AND GO THROUGH THE STEPS AGAIN.
now back in super deekout you can now start the game. if you need to be
invisible press control plus alt plus j.
control alt j will only work if you have set a keyboard shortcut to launch
jaws. if you need to know how to set a shortcut let me know.
the arrow keys in the game does not work if jaws is active, so therefore you
have to unload jaws to move your CHARACTER. SO TO BECOME INVISIBLE EASILY
LAUNCH JAWS AND PRESS I OR WHATEVER KEYSTROKE YOU HAVE ASSIGNED WHEN YOU
CREATED THE SCRIPT AND UNLOAD JAWS AGAIN.
IF i WANT TO BE INVISIBLE FOR LONG, i LAUNCH JAWS AND PRESS I IF i HEAR THE
WARNING SOUND THAT MY INVISIBILITY IS RUNNING OUT
i HOPE THIS WILL HELP.

[Audyssey] pinball questions

2008-10-03 Thread 0722001794
HI all

I thought of giving e s p pinball classic a try so I downloaded the
demo.

The pack man table is too fast for me.

I don't really understand what's going on there.

It seems like I must just hit the shift keys like a mad person to get
far in the game. Am I right?

The wild west table has really cool sounds.

I have noticed that some of the sounds is the same as in monkey
business.

Has anyone managed to fight in the siloon?

I'm killed each time.

And the sharif fight? How does that work?

Another question: is e s p pinball classic a nonbeatable game?

In other words, does each table just go on and on until you loose or is
there a point that you can beat a table?

In other words: is it possible to play until you hear something like:

Congrachulations, you have won.

And then going back to the main menu?

Do I have to buy all 3 pinball games separately: e s p pinball classic,
pinball extreme and the party pack?

I hope this is not too much questions at once.

[Audyssey] ship game

2008-05-05 Thread 0722001794
Hi all.
Nicol here.
I would like to know if there is any developer who want to try their hand at a
flash game.
At my workplace a game has been released on the intranet, it’s a game where
you have to guide your boat to a harbour avoiding many obstacles.
I'm working for south african revenue services, the agency governing tax
collection in south africa. So this little game has been released on the
intranet to demonstrate how revenue collection can be compared with a boat
sailing to his destination.
I would very much like to play this game, however its not in its current state
accessible for blind people. Is there anyone who want to try remaking this game
so that it becomes accessible? NO need to worry about copyright issues, my
employer has given full permission for an accessible remake to be created of
this game.
And I'm sure once its made accessible others will enjoy playing it too.
Please let me know who will be interested so that I can send the source code
along to you.
The source code for the game is contained within a flash file. I don’t know the
extention but within windows explorer jaws reads that the file type is shockwav
flash object.

[Audyssey] trupenam 2 versus dark destroyer

2008-04-30 Thread 0722001794
Just from playing the demo of trupenam i have gathered that its much more
comfortable than dark destroyer. In dd you have to tap your arrows continuously
to move your ship; holding down the arrows doesn't work. In trupenam you can
hold down the arrows to move your ship. In dd you have to move your ship quite
a distance to target an enemy. In trupenam you only have to hold down the
arrows for a short distance before an enemy is targeted. Dd doesn't have random
special items to pick up like trupenam, only 5 bombs given to you at the start
of the game. Dd doesn't have the nice gorbian levels trupenam has where you
have to target your enemy horrizontally and vertically. It doesn't have the
nice bonus rounds trupenam has namely landing round and falling ships round.
Surely trupenam will get harder as you progress through the game and on higher
difficulties, from what i have read in the manual, but dd being a free game is
nex to impossible to complete. And the sound of descending ships in trupenam
is much more relaxing than in dd. A ship's landing sound getting louder and
louder is to me much stressfull than a sound increasing in pitch. A negative
statement was made about trupenam on list long ago. It was said that if you
played dark destroyer 30 times you know what trupenam is like. From what i have
mentioned here i'm sure folks will agree with me that statement is not true,
especially with the random special items you can pick up. And in trupenam you
also have base reinforcers and ground nukes. In dd if 10 ships has landed its
lights out.

2008-04-30 Thread 0722001794
Hi all.
Nicol here.
I have contacted bsc games support about this but i haven't got a response yet.
It sometimes happens that the game tells me my score is too low to be posted
when it is not too low. I've compared my score with the number ten score for
easy difficulty on the scoreboard.
My score is 2268817. The number ten score is eric belevance with 1912215. So
why does the game tells me my score is too low?

[Audyssey] the landing bonus round in trupenam

2008-04-30 Thread 0722001794
Hi all.
Nicol here.
I'm so very excited! Once i got my salary i'm gonna buy trupenam! Its a
fantastic game! I eventually managed to land my ship successfully after many
fruitless attempts. Here is how i did it.
Spoilerspace
keep both hands on the arrow keys. The manual said holding down left and right
arrow will move your ship but holding up arrow will have little effect. I find
it too tricky to, at the same time, tap up arrow continuously and holding
left/right arrow. So my left hand is on the up arrow and my right hand is
tapping the left/right arrow. As soon as i hear my ship going to the
left/right, i tap the up and left/right arrow simultaneously until i hear its
in the middle again so basically i have to tap both up and left/right arrow the
whole time as the ship constantly goes off to the left/right. For me its
impossible to control the arrows like this with one hand.

[Audyssey] side scroller

2008-04-29 Thread 0722001794
Games we'd like to play
IN this side scroller your only game device is your mouse. You have to use a
mouse with a little wheel between the left and right buttons. You press the
wheel forwards and backwards to cause your character to walk/run. The left
mouse button is used to fire your gun if you can locate it and the right mouse
button is used to jump. You'll have to jump on an object to pick it up. You'll
encounter enemies in the game you'll have to shoot. Along the way you'll
encounter items such as a gun, ammo, strength pills and bonus points you'll
have to jump unto to collect them, but you'll have to be quick as they will
vanish after a while.
Pressing the wheel on your mouse forward once will cause your character to
give one step forward, the same goes for backwards, so its completely in your
power to run as fast as you want.

[Audyssey] jim's golf and casino games

2008-04-26 Thread 0722001794
1. jim's golf game
Hi jim
This is just a question, something that makes me curious. Its not something
that annoys me at all.
I've noticed something strange, when I press a 5, a 6, a 7,a 8 or a 9 I get the
2 choices wood and iron so I have to choose iron each time.
If I choose wood then I'm told sorry this is not a choice.
My question is, can the game be made like that so that if I press a 5, a 6, a
7, a 8 or a 9 that the game automatically selects iron for me?
2. jim's poker game
I have a suggestion for your poker game. When I have 5 cards I need to
evaluate those cards based on the different conditions.
I need to check how many of the 5 cards belongs to the same suit, how many
cards are consecutive, how many pairs are there, are there 3 of a kind, 4 of a
kind or a full house and then I discard cards which I think will not be
needed. My question to you: Is it possible to have the game arrange the cards
from smallest to largest, IN that way I can easily determine if a straight or
royal straight is possible or a straight flush or royal straight flush in the
case of cards of the same suit.
So in other words, if I press f1 I want the game to say: 5 of hearts, f2 6 of
hearts, f3 7 of hearts, f4 king of diamonds and f5 ace of clubs.
So then it will be easier to determine that 3 cards are in consecutive order,
so then I must discard cards 4 and 5 to try get a straight.
3. jim's blackjack game
Can jim or anyone else please tell me which is the best way of playing? must I
always choose a third card or should I only have 2 cards?
I'm not sure if I have 2 cards that equals 12 should I go for a third card or
should I say no for a third card. Sometimes if I say no for a third card if I
have 12 for example, it happens that the dealer wins and sometimes if I have 12
and I say yes I get a card that equals 10 and then I'm busted.
Is there a way to determine when its safe to take a third, fourth card, etc and
when not?
thanks

[Audyssey] jim's golf game

2008-04-26 Thread 0722001794
Hello jim
nicol here. A question regarding the clubs in your golf game. If I choose any
club above 4 why does the game present me with the choices wood and iron?
If I press enter on wood after choosing 5 for instance, mary says: that is not
a choice and I hear bart simpson saying: dho.
This is not annoying at all. I enjoy your golf game, I was just wondering, why
if I select a club from 5 to 9 the game doesn't automatically select iron
instead of prompting me to make a choice?

[Audyssey] an idea for future games

2008-04-26 Thread 0722001794
Hello list
My sincere apology for annoying everyone with dull, meaningless one liner
messages.
I just need to clear the air. I said things totally incorrectly. I'm not at all
trying to find excuses for bad behavior, I admit all the way through I've said
things mistakenly.
Let me explain what it was what I actually wanted to ask: I'm not at all
planning to develop games for now. Its my future dream to develop games but I
first need to find an extensive maths course that will make me addicted to
maths before I can think of programming.
What it was what I wanted to know. The gist of those one liner messages was:
I personally will enjoy playing games based on movies. So if any developer
needs new ideas for games, I would like to play games based on movies.
I wanted more information on alice in wonderland for example.
So instead of googling it, I asked the list if a game can be developed based on
alice in wonderland.
In other words, I wanted to know what happens in the story alice in wonderland
and can I do something in a game that happened in the real movies.
I was not at all trying to enquire about copyright issues or how to program a
game.
But once again I'm not trying to find excuses for bad behavior. My way of doing
it was wrong.
This Is how I was suppose to do it.
The following I'm sure will sound more adult:
Hi all
Here's an idea for games if any developer welcomes ideas for future games. I
would like to play games based on the following movies:
Gunsmoke, Alice in wonderland, man of the house, free willie, the aristocats,
fantasia, 7 brides and 7 brothers and bat man .
That's how I were suppose to write it.
Thom brought to my attention that my way of posting about the movies was
immature.
I now understand why, and appologies for the posts entitled deviation and game
over, I was feeling borred at that stage and I admit it was a bit immature to
post something like that.
Thanks constantine for your extensive message explaining that other gamers
doesn't have the desire to play games based on movies, that explains a lot..
So I hope the air is clear, I hope everybody understands now what I wanted to
say and I hope that in the future I would be able to play a game based on a
movie.
Of course there are copyright issues, but one can always give the game a
different name, only basing game play on incidents/happenings in the movies.
The reason why I wrote one liner messages, is if I ask more than one question
in a single post, people might forget to answer all questions, so I thought if
I write one liner messages, asking about one movie's game play in each post,
people would be able to easily respond to all my questions.
Warm regards

[Audyssey] the term artificial intelegence in accessible gaming

2008-04-23 Thread 0722001794
In this post i wish to discuss what i understand under the term artificial
inteligence. Its the opposite of human intellegence. It means that a computer
is smart enough to generate enemies. Its called artificial intelegence because
the computer can only bring forth what the programmer instructs him unlike
humans who has a brain. Some see the computer's c p u as its brain but a
computer doesn't have a brain like a human. So artificial intellegence is
dependent on the game developer. computer controlled enemies can only be as
intelegent as the game developer wants them to be. The opposite of artificial
intelegence is gigo: garbage in, garbage out. if you input rubbish into a game
rubbish will be the end result. People is inclined to give the computer the
fault for mistakes they make.

[Audyssey] the term game over in accesible gaming

2008-04-23 Thread 0722001794
In this post i wish to discuss the term game over. Lets start off by defining
the term game over. It simply means either the game is terminated by the player
dying or it means the player beat the game. For some the term game over in the
case of the gamer dying might mean grief that the game is lost while for others
it might mean an attempt to beat the game. Of how many ways can you think
where the words game over is spoken in accessible games? The most interesting
one is in the early betas of monte. It sounds like a monster saying game over.
Before i let you go lets create an acronym. lets say game over stands for
gladly attempting movement, enemy targeting or variations encountering
realities.

[Audyssey] jim's black jack game

2008-04-22 Thread 0722001794
Hi jim. Nicol here. I noticed something strange with your black jack game. when
i have 3 cards that equals 21. Say for instance initialy my first 2 cards is 2
sevenths that equal 14. Now the game asks if i want another card. I say yes and
the third card is also a 7 for instance. Now my question: now that i have 3
cards that equals 21 the game is not suppose to ask if i want another card
because 21 is the highest you can go without being busted. Yet when i have 3
cards equal to 21 the game askp me if i want another card. Obviously if i say
yes i will most definitely be busted. So the game is at that point suppose to
draw the dealer's cards instead of asking me if i want another card, isn't it?

[Audyssey] keyboard crazy

2008-04-20 Thread 0722001794
Hi all
I need help with keyboard crazy, a game from VIP games zone. I've sent them
numerous e-mails at
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
but I heard nothing back.
I have 2 problems with the game. Its an excellent game to sharpen typing skills
but sometimes some annoying bugs shows up.
You will notice when playing the game while the voice is calling out the
letters to be pressed, that a continuous ping sound is playing the whole time.
Sometimes it happens that this ping sound plays without the voice saying
anything and if I press anything, I hear an explosion and loose one life and
then the next letter is spoken.
This happens not so often. Lets say this happens once in every 2 games of
keyboard crazy I play. I don't know whether this is a bug or does the silence
means that I must press something like shift on its own? The manual never said
anything about pressing a certain key when I only hear the ping sound without
any voice saying the key .
The manual only said that the voice will call out letters and to annihilate it
you press control for left speaker, spacebar for middle and enter for right.
Secondly, can someone tell me how am I suppose to annihilate a key if it's a
punctuation mark requiring shift? I know less than and greater than is the
comma and the period with shift but I have tried holding down shift and
pressing comma or period and then hitting the respective annihilate key, but I
loose a life each time.
I have also tried hitting shift and period separately and then the annihilate
key but still it doesn't work, I loose a life.
Is anyone familiar with keyboard crazy? Was anyone able to successfully an
ilate a punctuation mark requiring shift?

Hi james. I'm booked off sick until 5 may. I'm spending the time with my mom. I
don't have the setup file for the old version of lightcars here. When i get
home i'll send it to you.
Hi all. I was thinking about light cars again. Another way of getting far in
the game is if lighttechinteractive could add a pilot to the game. So when the
cars are coming real fast your co pilot will either speak the direction he
thinks you should head which will not always be correct but most of the times
or a bbeeping sound letting you know which direction to turn.

corrections: when i saved my game, quit the program, launch it again and load

Hi all
I found a way to enjoy light cars. I still have the old version of light cars
where you can specify the amount of lives in the savegame.dat file. Rob said
this cheet have been removed in the newer version. Personally its impossible
for me to really enjoy light cars without this cheet. To have 5 lives and
quickly loose all of them by crashing the whole time Is not fun.
So now I have specified 9 thousand lives. At first I tried 9 billion lives
but the game didn't want to load my game so I tried 9 million but still it
didn't want to load so I tried 9 thousand and it worked.
When I play light cars like this, it gives me the feeling I'm having a bumper
car ride at a fun fair.
But I'm still disappointed. I only get hazards and item cars as far as level
20. from then onwards no item cars and hazards appears which makes the game
pretty borring.
All right, I can stay for extremely long in the game if I have 9 thousand lives
but to crash all the time and avoid cars without any item cars or hazards gets
pretty borring.
And there is also a bug with the bonus round. When I shoot a bird when its in
the dead centre, I miss it. I manage to shoot when it's a bit off to the
right and the manual said the bird must be in the dead centre for you to shoot
it.
I can't understand why the gaming community needs games without an end; with
unlimited levels. For me a game with an end is nice. If I know I can beat a
game it gives me satisfaction. These games such as light cars which have no
ending, it feels like a supernatural thing I can't beat.
Its like the game has a supernatural power in it. But if there is anyone like
me who don't enjoy light cars with only 5 lives, feel free to ask me for the
previous version.
I'll gladly give it as well as explain how to specify the number of lives.
Once I'm an expert at avoiding cars I'll move on to the newer version where the
cheet won't work. But a cloud with a silver lining though. The cars will
change speed twice and from then onwards it stays the same. With this cheet on,
I noticed that the fastest a car will come at you is one second per car.
I think my score is above 119000 at this stage. Too bad I can't post my score.
Or to tell the truth I haven't tried to post my score but I doubt if I can post
my score with the old version.
Obviously rob will prevent people from posting scores with the old version if
they used the lives cheet.

[Audyssey] feedback to the claudiogames company

2008-04-18 Thread 0722001794
Hello claudio
I'm very excited to know that you are a new amature developer. Its always an
excitement to know that a new developer is appearing on the sceen.
What genres of games are you considering to develop: side scrollers? Rpg? 3d?
strategy? Card games? Typing games? Word games? Space invader games? Beatable
games with a number of levels? Unbeatable games with unlimited levels which
just gets harder and harder? Motor racing games? Dice games?
I'm very excited. I'm looking much forward to your first game, even if its just
a little one to show us what you're up to. Its always fun to try out new
freebees.
I personally would like games for my mobile phone. I have a smart phone, the
nokia91. Correct me if I'm wrong willem but I think the n91 is not synbian,
its windows.
I would like a side scroller or word games for my phone.
When I'm visiting family where there is no pc it will be very nice to play
games on my phone. I have a suggestion for you. Start with something vary
simple which makes use of a sound panning from left to right where the gamer
must catch the object before it passes the dead centre. The freebee community
can do with some more panning games.
Here is 2 examples. I'm not aware if this nursery rhyme is popular in
Switzerland but here goes:
Humty dumty, sat on a wall
Humty dumty, had a great fall.
All the king's horses
And all the king's men
Couldn't get humpty
Together again.
Humty dumty is a little egg man. In this game your task is to prevent it from
sitting on the wall. He climbed up a wall and he is moving to the right where
the edge is comfortable for him to sit on, but you must defeat him several
times by catching him.
Simply catch him while he is in the middle of your speaker field.
You will hear the sound of a clarinet as he's moving towards the right. If you
manage to catch him, you will hear his sound of disappointment and your
character assuringly telling him he will fall to pieces if he sits on that wall
and everybody loves a little egg man. , but if you don't manage, you'll hear
the nursery rhyme spoken with sound effects such as an egg tumbling to the
ground, horses trotting and the king's men talking.
Another suggestion is 2 little frogs.
2 little frogs are taunting you that you can't catch them. One of them is
jumping from left to right and one is jumping from right to left, catch each
frog before it passes the centre.
You'll have to catch them several times to defeat or convince them that you
are able to catch little frogs.
Hoep these suggestions helped.
Good luck with your hobby/career of developing games.
I'm very excited, I hope everything goes well.

Re: [Audyssey] STFC 2.

2008-04-16 Thread 0722001794

hi thomas. I'm very excited. 2 questions:
1. Are you going to charge for it?
2. Will it be a similar kind of game than lonewolf?
- original message -
Subject:[Audyssey] STFC 2.
From: Thomas Ward [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Date: 16/04/2008 6:54 am

Hi everyone,
Over the passed couple of months I have been tinkering with STFC 2.0 off
and on. Unlike STFC 1.x STFC 2.0 is going to be a real time action game.
Instead of commanding several bases, ships, etc you will be in charge of
commanding a single ship throughout the various missions. However, that
is about as far as I have got with the basic idea for the game. One
question remains which ship to use.
I personally want to stick with something Next Generation era and that
pretty much narrows it down to Enterprise NCC-1701-D or Enterprise
NCC-1701-E. Though, thje U.S.S. Defiant is also an option here. Each
ship is good, but all depends on if you want a television series type
plot or a movie plot. Each ship is unique.
Enterprise NCC-1701-D, as seen on Star Trek Next Generation, is a
Galaxy-Class cruiser. Armorment includes 250 photon torpedoes, 9 deep
space probes, standard type-x phasers, and shields were rated at 2026
gigawatts. Maximum achieved speed on STNG was warp 9.6 for 12 minutes.
Not bad, but after the movies came out the Enterprise E has really made
the television series sound sort of lame.
Enterprise NCC-1701-E, as seen in Star Trek 8, 9, and 10 has far more
fire power than its earlier name sake. The latest Enterprise comes armed
with 325 photon torpedoes, 175 quantum torpedoes, type-x phasers,
ablative hull armor, and shield strength is 5056
gigawatts. Maximum rated speed is warp 9.7. As you can see the newer
Enterprise has far more armor, firepower, speed, etc.
The U.S.S. Defiant, seen on Star Trek Deep Space 9, certainly has its
own interesting abilities and features. It comes armed with a cloaking
device, 60 quantom torpedoes, 30 photon torpedoes, type-u phaser cannon,
ablative hull armor, and shields are rated as 2026 gigawatts. Maximum
known speed is warp 9.985. Definitly not bad ship specs if you ask me.
I guess what I am asking if you had to pick one which ship would you
choose. If you choose Defiant chances are I would make most of the
missions take place during the dominion war so you can slug it out with
Jem'hadar fighters, Breen Battle Cruisers, and Cardassian Cruisers. If
you pick Enterprise D I would make the missions play out more-or-less
like the tv series with each mission have its own bad guys, mission
orders, etc. With the Enterprise E we could go either way. The
Enterprise E was constructed just before the Dominion War, served
through the Dominion War, and seen action after the Dominion War.

Cheers.

[Audyssey] super deekout

2008-04-16 Thread 0722001794
Hi all
Now that I know for certain that super deekout is unbeatable I want to give my
2 cents view. Please be aware that I'm only giving input to damion in case he
plans to work on super deekout, I'm not complaining at all. I'm very greatful
that dan has made super deekout available for free before he is closing down
his site. I feel super deekout should be beatable. Its ok to keep the number of
levels unlimited but at least enable us to destroy one on one bot completely.
One on one bot is a robot not a ghost. Its impossible for any robot to generate
each time he is destroyed. A robot is only a piece of machinery that acts like
a human. There is no ghost inside a robot that let him generate, or at least
not what I'm aware of.
If you feel one on one should not be able to be destroyed, that it should
generate each time you kill him, then alter the manual accordingly.
Such as: one on one bot has a ghost who enables him to generate, who prevents
him from being destroyed. Firstly, I can't understand why the gaming community
needs games that can't be beaten. For me I have the biggest satisfaction if I
can beat a game. And secondly if one on one is only a robot it should be
destroyable after killing it several times.
And let me tell you all, if it can be done, it will not make the game too easy
as using oil slicks is not that easy.
So keep the levels unlimited but just please enable us to destroy one on one
bot.
It doesn't make sense to me why one on one bot can't be destroyed. Once again,
it's a robot not a ghost.

[Audyssey] mud splat

2008-04-15 Thread 0722001794
HI thom
thanks for forwarding my message to the developers of mud splat. I've lost
your e-mail address. I just need to give one last bit of feedback which I
forgot.
when inside the mud splat game, inside the help system, the woman says that you
can manually save a game such as in the case of where you have collected many
lives.
she says its done by pausing the game with escape and choose the save option.
this doesn't work like the woman explained. If I pause the game and I choose
the save option and I load that game later on, it has exactly the same effect
as a game automatically saved after each session. it doesn't put me on the spot
where I've saved it, it puts me at the beginning of that level.
so for instance if I'm in the toy story on level3 and I've defeated 3 monsters
and I have collected a life and unlimited water, and I pause the game and save
it and later on come back and load it, I'm put back at the start of the toy
story level 3, not exactly where I stopped. Next, I just want to tell you all
how the monsters sounds to me.
I can imagine some of the monsters' shapes by listening to their sounds.
the big monsters I can't really depict a shape. I would say they all have the
shape of dinosaurs. in the middle class monsters, there is a monster that makes
a funny sound like its clucking its tongue.
I would depict that monster as a jelly, green monster in the shape of a jelly
fish. Lets call it a jalatinous blob.
now for the small monsters, here comes some interesting shapes.
there is one monster who makes the sound of a big frog so this little monster
has the shape of a frog. then there is a monster who sounds to me like an elve
so it has the shape of an elve. then there is a monster who sounds like a lion
cub so it has the shape of a lion cub.
then there is a monster which you will encounter from the toy story onwards,
it sounds like a little toy car.
this we can call a little syburg. because it makes this car sound, its
impossible for it to be a monster like the others with skin.
so this monster is a syburg, its paws looks like wheels.
oh yes, there is one big monster I forgot to mention. If you listen carefully
you will notice its groaning sounds like a dor being opened, so I would say
this monster looks like a mutant human.
then back to the small monsters. one other type of small monster I would call a
small mutant human, almost like an elve but just more thwarts on his skin.
Actually there is 3 of them which we can call small mutant humans.
The bosses I would say all have the shape of dinosaurs.
And here's an idea for a new game if the developers' of mud splat considers new
games.
Story line:
The city has been invaded by huge, medium and small fire breathing dragons.
The case is hopeless. All the fire fighters have been killed by large tongues
of fire. You realize that something needs to be done. Putting on special
firefighter clothes, you step out into the city only armed with a water host
and you have to defeat these dragons and save the city. These dragons have also
stoled 5 sonicses which you must recover by defeating them. So in this game you
have to defeat, not monsters but dragons, small, medium and large dragons.
Lets call it fire splat.

[Audyssey] super deekout

2008-04-15 Thread 0722001794
HI all
Let me rephrase the question I asked earlier on. I just wanted to know if super
deekout is a game you can finish/beat or is it non ending with unlimited
levels that gets harder and harder until it becomes impossible?
Can anyone remember light cars from lighttechinteractive? It has unlimited
levels and it gets harder and harder until the cars comes at you with such a
speed that its impossible to play, its a game you can't beat.
I just wanted to know if super deekout is also unbeatable.
something in the manual gave me a slight indication that the game might be
unbeatable. it says: complete as many levels as possible.
I tried to view the deekout scores but I get an error.
I've tried contacting [EMAIL PROTECTED] but I haven't got a response yet.
Dark said dan offers limited e-mail support until he closes his site down in
june. here is the steps I took to try and view scores.
1. I hit www.danzgames.com.
2. I clicked on the link top super deekout scores.
3. I clicked on easy.
and this is the error I'm getting
Warning: mysql_connect() [
function.mysql-connect]:
Access denied for user 'danzgame'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in
/home/danzgame/public_html/view_scores.php on line 15
Unable to connect
can anyone please advise me what this error means and if its possible in
another way to view scores? I've tried sending my score but the game told me my
score is too low. Next I want to revisit the statement I made earlier about the
oil slicks. the cheet which I mentioned only happened to me once. It didn't
happened again. If I press s at the start of level1 or anywhere else if I
haven't collected slicks by means of my experiment, I hear a buzzing sound
letting me know there is no slicks to use. I hear the same buzzing sound if I
press i and there's nothing in my inventory. I'm not sure what went wrong some
time ago, why I only had that cheet with that one game but I'm sure its a bug
because it never happened to me again that if I press s and I haven't put
together an experiment and receive slicks. that I have slicks. so don't worry,
at least I know now its not a cheet, only a minor bug.
next I have a favour to ask the list especially josh who had such a nice high
score,. could you please share your stats with me? Please if its not p.t please
could josh or anyone please send his stats file to me off-list as the list
can't take attachments.
I just want to compare my stats with other gamers. In this way I can determine
if super deekout is also unbeatable like lightcars.
If the stats says: congratulations you beat the game! then I know its beatable.
If anyone can send me their entire stats file its so much appreciated'.

Actually, all you have to change is the line which tells it to use ibm
graphics. Just make that line say noibmgraphics and it will use all ASCII
characters. Nethack is completely playable with Jaws for windows. Especially
now that the autopilot is included in the game, you don't have to worry
about not being able to find the staircases again once you've discovered
them. That used to be a big problem since you couldn't get row and column
information for locations. With the autopilot, you can simply tell your
character to go to the greaterthan sign or to any plus-signs which are
closed doors to explore levels. Hope that helps you get started.

 Hi

What I've done and since it's been awhile from hacking is removed all the
number signs [#] from the lines in the defaults.nh file. This does use
 asky
symbols. What I've noticed and maybe someone else knows is that they do
seem different from the ones that I recall being in the game a few
 versions
 back. Currently it's version 3.4.3 I believe. It's possible there's
something else one needs to do. Having said that though the game is
playable with jfw. There's always the 'look' command to help one out.

 Hi

Along with Nethack which can indeed be played with JFW, the askey can be
troublesome at first, there is also Ancient Domains of Mystery at
 http://www.adom.de

Also I just discovered that it seems like a Java based game engine is
 being
 worked on.

I've tried Nethack with Hal, but run into severe troubles with the Asqi
graphics, though maybe a braille display will do the trick.

it's not precisely Nethack, but the recent post by Jason on this list (I
believe the subject was accessible rpg game), stated that he's working on
 a
self-voicing rpg with a random dungeon layout and other features, which
 might well foot the bill.

You can find the long thread about his game and it's developement on the
 audio games.net forum at:

 http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?id=2044

Also, It's not Nethack, but I was wondering if you've tried the online
 rpg
Sryth. lots of exploration, not all about stats and pvp (it's actually
single player apart from the rankings), and some interesting dungeon
 maps.
Everything's done in text descriptions similarly to a fighting fantasy or
other gamebook, accept the world is much larger, with many more
monsters and quests and such, and a much more complex skill system.

there are several players on the list, and I can deffinately recommend it
(though I've not played myself for a while). you can find it at
 http://www.sryth.com/

And if you wouldn't mind writing the name darkempathy in the referral
box, I'd be very much obliged ;D, assuming you like the game of
 course.

[Audyssey] super deekout impressions

2008-04-14 Thread 0722001794
Hi all
ON the one hand it is sad that dan is leaving the gaming community but on the
other hand its kind of him to make his games available for free.
Here is some impressions that might be helpfull to damion if he decides to
work on super deekout.
spoiler
space
Its very easy to actually cheet in the game and it spoils everything. At the
start of level1 if you press s you get an amount of oil slicks and it also
sometimes happens that more than one special item is available to pick up.
the oil slicks is only suppose to show up once you have picked up the
experiment pieces in the descending order.
and only one special item is suppose to show up for each 3 coins you pick up.
It happened that the moment i pressed s at the start of level1 there was 3
special items beeping to pick up.
the keystrokes that activates cheet codes should not have such easy
keystrokes. People are only suppose to be able to cheet if they got a score
of 2 million on normal. I'm only playing on easy. I only got as far as level6.
Btw i wonder if the game has a number of levels like trupenum and pipe or does
it have unlimited levels like light cars. the reason why i pressed s: i just
wanted to hear what sound the game will play if there is no special item of a
kind.
super deekout should have a practice mode where you can practice picking up
coins. pipe2 have a practice mode where you fit pipes without enemies. It took
me much time to get used to the concept of picking up coins and enemies makes
it difficult to practice picking up coins. Once I have a bit of practice in
picking up coins without the thread of enemies I will be more ready for the
robot. Sometimes i battle to hear when a coin is centered.
I'm very greatful that dan has made super deakout available for free. this is
just suggestions in case damion decide to work on it. I just thought my
impressions will help him.
for starters, it would mean a lot if damion can set up a score server for us
to post our scores even if it means that we pay him a fee to be able to post
scores because we can only post to the dan z server until june when the site is
closing down. Is there anyone else who would be able to set up a score server?
since damion plans to work on super deakout he need to be the one who set up a
score server because the game is programmed to post scores to dan z games'
server currently so to post to a diferent server would mean that that part
should be adjusted in the source code. I doubt if its possible to post to
another score server without instructing the game in the source code what the
server is.

[Audyssey] story line for a game

2008-04-14 Thread 0722001794
Hi all
Here is a story line for a game idea if anyone thinks of developing a new game.
this game idea came about when I heard I must go for a brain r m i scan. I'm
diagnosed with epelepsy. I'm always very scared of loud noises and the doctor
told me this scanning machine is noisy, like a disco. so I panted a lot, but
once inside the machine, once it started to scan the noise didn't scare me.
the sidation I was given didn't work while I was in the machine. It only came
into effect when I was out of the machine back in the ward, then only I felt
sleepy.
but here's the game idea.
Your task is to blow up brain scanning machines. you'll have to be careful.
You'll have to listen closely for the sound of the brain scanning machines
amongst those of heart machines and components of marilyn manson's science
project.
If you blow up a heart machine or a piece of marilyn's science project instead
you loose large chunks of points. If your score reaches 0 the game is over.
you are either strapped onto a bed and examined by a heart machine and told
the results of your heart and you will hear the song: shape of my heart, or you
will be killed by a component of marilyn manson's science project, it will
detinate a bomb. If you are not succesfull in blowing up a brain scan machine
in time the brain scanning machine will automatically strap you to a bed, take
a brain scan of you and give you the results of what your brain looks like and
the game is over.
the heart machines is easy to distinguish but parts of marilyn manson's science
project will sound very similar to r m i scan machines especially the last
sequence of a r m i scan.
You'll have to blow up cat scan machines as well as r m i scan machines.
the cat scan machines will make the sound of a washing machine and then the
sound of a banjo but watch out, marilyn manson's science project will make
similar sounds to confuse you, but you will be able to distinguish the machines
if you listen carefully.
Happy blowing up of brain scanning machines!

[Audyssey] mud splat impressions

2008-04-14 Thread 0722001794
I seriously wish the developers of mud splat could give attention to some
serious bugs in the game. First of all compliments to the woman who did the
voiceovers, her voice is very clear and the help inside the game is very
explanatory.
I just feel her voice is too slow when speaking the score upon pressing the
right control key. I'll get to the reason for that in just a bit.
I like the randomness of special items in the game, I just wish to hear how
much bonus points I'm getting once I splash water on a bonus object that gives
me bonus points.
I also wish to hear how many bonus points I get each time I splash water on an
object in the bonus levels. Instead of saying the total amount of bonus level
points gained thus far I wish to hear the number of bonus points collected for
the current bonus level instead.
IN games such as pipe2 and trupenum I can hear how much bonus points I'm
getting, I wish it could be the same in mud splat.
currently for me to hear in mud splat how many bonus points I'm getting when
splashing water on a bonus object in monster levels, there is only one tricky
way,.
when I hear the bouncing of a bonus item, I have to press right control and
listen to my score, then collect the item and if it is extra points, then
listen to the score again. And if i press space to splash water the voice
speaking the score is silenced immediately.
that's why I feel the voice should be faster, because by the time I have
listened to my score and figure out how many points the bonus object gave me, a
monster throws mud at me and then sometimes I get killed because I forget to
move away, I concentrate too hard on figuring out how many bonus points the
item gave me.
that's why it would be so nice if the woman could speak the bonus points gained
each time I splash water on a bonus object that gives me bonus points.
now to get to the nasty bugs. sometimes it happens that no monsters appears
after a while. It happens in the toy story levels, mainly level3.
after defeating a few monsters, the background sound just keeps on playing
forever without any monsters appearing.
I've tested it, I've played all question sets installed of freedom millionaire
and then returning to mud splat there was still no monsters and the background
sounds keeps playing.
Sometimes when this happens I'm able to go out of the game with escape and load
the last session again, but sometimes pressing escape does nothing.
then I have to close the game with task manager.
It sometimes happens that at the end of a game, when I'm in the list of high
scores, pressing up or down arrow causes the game to quit completely instead of
going to the next or previous score.
the next thing is not really a bug as such, its just my way of playing the game.
I wish to collect all bonus items, I don't want to loose out on any bonus item.
sometimes it happens that when I'm about to splash water on the last monster
for that level a bonus item appears and so it happens sometimes that as I press
space to splash water on a monster I hear the bouncing sound of the bonus item
and so I defeat the last monster and loose that item.
That's why the time bonus is not such a big thing for me. If I try to beat the
level as fast as i can to gain a bigger time bonus, I will loose out on bonus
items. That's why i wait a few more seconds before splashing water on a
monster, to make sure i don't miss out on any bonus item.
a question concerning the score multiplier bonus objects. Will it always
multiply scores by 2? or will it multiply scores by figures bigger than 2?
its again one of those things, for me to find it out currently I have to listen
to my score twice, and because the voice is so slow I end up being thrown with
mud.
I sincerely hope someone could forward my message to the developers of mud
splat.
thank you

[Audyssey] trupenam2 question

2008-04-14 Thread 0722001794
Hi all
I strongly consider buying trupenam. It sounds like a great game. I have
difficulty understanding how the landing platform bonus round works. I've read
the manual several times but still I don't understand it. If I understand
correctly the manual says, you must tap up arrow continuously and rapidly to
ensure a slow fall and you must tap left and right arrow to stay in the middle.
I'm doing it but still I crash onto the platform.
I can hear my ship going off to the left and right and then I get it back to
the middle and I tap up arrow continuously as soon as I hear my ship is in the
middle again but I never manage to land the ship successfully. Can anyone
plese give me some more advice how to land my ship?

[Audyssey] the direct link for super deekout

2008-04-13 Thread 0722001794
Its very much appreciated if someone could give me the direct link for super
deekout. I'm away from my pc for 2 weeks. I'm visiting my mom. She cares for me
as i suffer from epelepsy. So i downloaded the game from my home pc before i
came to my mom. I canceled the download per accident. The second time it was
succesfull. But now i have 2 setup files of super deekout on my pc and both of
them is 39 megs. The one is the unfinished download. I can't understand why the
file is 39 megs if i canceled the download. Anyway, i copied the unfinished
file instead of the completed file to my thumb drive. When trying to run the
setup file on my mom's pc i got an error message that the setup file is
corrupt. Since i will be away from home for so long while i recover, i need
something to keep myself busy. So i want to play super deekout on my mom's pc.
She said i can download the game from her dial up but i must pay her the money
for the time spent to download and since it will take 2 hours it will cost a
lot to download it from her pc. Now i want to download it from the web using my
phone. It will work out somewhat cheeper. The problem is: the talks screen
reader on my phone can't access all the links on the dan z games site. On most
sites it can't access all links. It doesn't recognize the link to download the
setup file. It only recognizes the links for the game documentation and
installation guide. That's why i thought if i can get a direct link i can paste
it into the address bar of my phone's browser and the download will start
immediately. Once again its highly appreciated if someone could help.

[Audyssey] strange problem with freedom millionaire

2008-04-13 Thread 0722001794
I experience a strange volume problem and it only happens when i play freedom
millionaire. It happens constantly that the volume of both jaws and some sounds
in the game goes softer suddenly. The sound that lets me know the answer i've
chosen is correct is softer than my pc's normal volume and if jaws says that's
right its volume is also softer suddenly and also the sound that plays when
the next question is displayed together with jaws saying all right for 4000
dollars for instance is also softer than usual. But if jaws reads the question
and if i navigate around the screen the volume is the way its set in volume
control. It just suddenly goes softer when the current question is answered
correctly and when the next question appears, thereafter the volume changes
back to normal. I find this pretty annoying. I prefer the volume to be the same
all the time. Because this happens only inside the freedom millionaire
application, i think its appropriate to ask on this list for help. I've been
experiencing this quite recently. Any help is much appreciated.

[Audyssey] my remorseful appology

2008-02-16 Thread 0722001794
HI all
I'm terribly terribly sorry for my bad behavior. My weak point is if somebody
made me unhappy I blow off steam on the wrong place.
I was so worked up about somebody who mistreated me at work, and before I
could realize what i was doing, I went blow off steam and I jumped down on
innoscent people.
well damion, its your game. its your decision what to charge for it. It was
totally unreasonable of me to jump down your neck without even trying the demo.
because others on the list said that ace fire doesn't have any replay value, I
just went on stressing it further.
Now I also see your point, you spent lots on sound effects and you spent hours
creating it.
bavisoft's titles is also pricy and they too don't have replay value, so its
each company's decision how much replay value to add to a game and what to
charge for it.

[Audyssey] game recording

2008-02-12 Thread 0722001794
HI all
I'm at work at the moment but the system on which we perform our duties is down
so we have to keep ourselves busy.
I'm feeling borred, I wish to listen to some game recordings.
Is it possible for 8 people to send me each one of the parts of raul's super
liam recording? my cellphone has a 1 gb mailbox.
I thought if 8 people could send me the files of raul's recording, if each of
the 8 people send me one then I can listen to it on my cellphone as my
cellphone has an mp3 player.
Or else any other cool game recording, but preferably raul's super liam game
recording. Please sent me a notice to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to inform me if you
have sent the recordings.
Please send the recordings to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I need you to sent me a confirmation message to the other address as my phone,
unlike my pc, doesn't automatically alert me of incoming e-mail.
I can't download the recordings as I'm not allowed internet access at work
and my cellphone's browser is not user friendly with talks.

stepped a few times and then i got it. I'm playing on easy difficulty. I'm
just very disappointed that the game locks up if i get close to the motor bike.
When i managed to catch the snitch i heard the caretaker talking with sarah and
then i hear dementors. It seems like they carry sarah away. When i finish the
game i would like to hear
congrachulations, you have completed sarah and the castle of witchcraft and
wizardry successfully. After the dementors i hear sarah saying the money left
in her bag and then i hear the pcs games logo tune. If i have to do something
to prevent the dementors from taking sarah away please don't give the solution,
i want to figure it out first. I just thought of mentioning it to you in case
its a bug. Please also note that the troll on floor7 doesn't eat any bad candy.
The only way to get past it is to stun it. Also no password works on the lady
in the portrait. According to one of the books harry and his friends spoke the
picksnout password to go in and out of the castle so i suppose its probably
another way to get to the quiditch pitch but if i try picksnout the lady says
no password no entrance. No other password works either. i still have the
problem that when i arrow down my inventory to get to the crystal ball the game
locks up. I'll have to start the game all over from the ground floor and try to
get rid of unnecessary inventory items. I'll eat all sweets as i pick them up
and stuff such as those in the room of requirement i'll store in the broom
cupboard. Hopefully the game won't lock up if i scroll down my inventory. It
appears that i can't drop a nimbus broom if i have 3. If i try to drop a magic
or normal broom if i have more than one, both brooms are dropped instead. And
if i drop books i have read in the library it should also solve my inventory
problem. I just wish you can soon do something about the motor bike.

[Audyssey] audio games on a laptop

2008-01-05 Thread 0722001794
My brother allowed me to explore a bit on his laptop. He was even so kind to
download n v d ay for me. Because my cellphone service provider offers a
contract for 500 south african rand then they give one a laptop and unlimited
internet access and 500 mb download capacity. So now i explored my brother's
laptop a bit. A laptop does not have the extended arrows a desktop has. A
continuous movement such as shift plus up arrow in sod would be impossible as
a laptop only has one shift key located to the immediate right of the slash
key and the up arrow sits far above it. So to play games on a laptop i have to
get a bluetooth keyboard. So on my brother's laptop i went to jim kitchen's
site. By pressing the arrows n v d ay only says top blank bottom. My brother's
laptop has a touch sensative mouse. Its just a little square over which sighted
people rub their fingers to move the pointer. While moving my fingers across it
n v d ay reads the text but the mouse is blind user unfriendly. But n v d ay
reads other sites fine indicating all elements including tables. Then i went
to the u s ay games site. N v d ay does not recognize the buy now button next
to monte. It only recognizes the following:
montizuma's return
preorder
30 dollars
graphic pixel.gif
i tried pressing enter where it says graphic pixel.gif nothing happens. Not
even pressing the left mouse button works and a laptop doesn't have the slash
and star keys a desktop has used for clicking and it appears that n v d ay
doesn't have a click functionality. So my new year's message to game developers
is:
please make your websites more accessible for less privileged blind people
making use of a free screen reader and a laptop, who wish to download or
purchase games. .

[Audyssey] self destruct

2008-01-04 Thread 0722001794
I really hope damion is going to work on self destruct. Damion sadler from x
site interactive said long ago that jason from closed down xl studios gave him
the source code for self destruct and that damion may modify the game. Damion
also promised that he will definitely work on self destruct. Self destruct is
actually an excellent game except for level10. I feel self destruct should also
have a supply room like in treasure hunt that gets restocked. Movement in self
destruct is much simpler than treasure hunt. Its just level10 that is a
backpain because the urchins moves too fast and the player's moves is very
limited. If only level10 of self destruct can be made slightly easier i will be
very greatful. To run around the grid in level10 trying to escape the urchins
until i found lots of health and ammo or the key to room0 is impossible because
regardless of how quickly i tap the arrow keys the urchins is to fast for me
and 40 moves is too little. My suggestion is that the grid should have 4
restock rooms with randomly moves, health, ammo, or both placed at random
locations. I can even beat the urchin lord after level10, its only level10 that
is impossible. On easy difficulty its still possible to kill urchins easily
because if urchins enters room91 they receive a fatal shock so if my health or
ammo gets little i can just hide in room91.

Re: [Audyssey] Accessible self-defence

2008-01-03 Thread 0722001794

here in south africa we use shock machines for self defence. Its a little
machine with 2 buttons. The one button is pressed to warn the opponent, it
makes a beeping sound. And the second button will give the opponent the shock
of his life! It will not kill him, just give him a hurtfull shock he won't
forget. My dad uses such a machine. Although i haven't used it myself, i think
its pretty accessible as it only has 2 buttons as long as you know how to
keep the part of the machine that emits the current away from you. Its illegal
in south africa.

If the weapon can cut, puncture or break bones on impact. they are
highly illegal and in most states anything past the width of your
hand wither it be a knife or pointed rod is illegal.
BTW.
If you mean numchucks a chain with one stick at each end. Well no
where in the USA is that legal. nor is brass knuckles, thong staff
witch is a rod that expands with a press of a button, some states
mace or pepper spray and even stun guns.
if your going to get something for self defence. Check with your
local police to make sure your not breaking any laws that will do
more harm to you then your opponent Because some weapons can raise it
from self defence to premeditated murder. In this state even pointing
a harmless plastic dart gun at someone is called attempted murder. So
as you see it don't take much to change the law from something simple
to something that you really don't want.
