Trish: Thanks for the kind words. I know it will be very different but, fortunately, I have a neighbor who is very computer savvy and although he is full sighted and doesn't know assistive technology all that well, he is a quick learner and as helped me a lot when I've had problems with my laptop and JAWS. I will just have to try to through out all I've learned so far and start from scratch. It should be a fun Spring and Summer! There is no excuse, but since there hasn't been a mass amount of members running for the hills I have to think most of you are accustomed to such flair ups from time to time. Trish: Actually, I do have a neighbor--sighted of course--who is computer savvy and does his best. Problem is that although he tries to learn about speech readers and JAWS, etc., he has a full-time job, a family and church callings so his time is limited. Besides, independence is always so darned satisfying. Living alone has advantages but can sure be a pain. Still, playing the hand one is dealt is best imho. Happy Thanksgiving. Not in Windows Live Mail but it does that fairly often in Windows Mail. Hi list. As asked in the subject line, am i a bit frustrated of that, jaws from time to time announce’s the name of the old e-mail client in Win XP, e.g. when i have send a message by pressing alt+s, and focus return’s to the folder list view, or when i jump from folder to folder with unread message’s using ctrl+j. I hope the keystrokes are the same in your version, even we are using it in either our language’s. Do any of you experience the same, and is it something that Freedom Scientific have forgotten to replace in Jaws with “Windows Live Mail”? I have experienced this in both Jaws 12 and 13, and in all beta relese’. Hans Pauli. Med venlig hilsen Hans Pauli Sundstein Nørregade 35, 7200 Grindsted. One starts out by having to pick a criteria and the one I want to use is where to from lines contains people but I can't seem to get it checked. I've tried pressing the space bar, the enter key on both the regular keyboard and the number pad as well as trying to press alt+c as suggested. None of that seems to work.
