Re: [MOPO] Alamo-Drafthouse Goes Hollywood
I think this may help local theater owners. The biggest threat to local theater owners is private equity gobbling up real estate. They’ve ruined housing so theater real estate is next. I think Sony is seeing the trend that megaplexes are not the draw they used to be and more curated/intimate experiences are. Tarantino’s theaters are doing well here as is Vidiots, etc. I think Sony is jumping on that. Not sure how it will pan out with anti-trust laws but our business is in such sad shape now they may be able to move without any scrutiny. Re: [MOPO] Megalopolis opens Sept 27 / Lionsgate
I'll see that in IMAX - for sure. Oh, by the way, I saw Anthony Mann's THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE in 1964 in 70mm, and I wasn't disappointed! The one epic roadshow film that has never gotten the Blu-Ray restoration treatment it deserves. Largely trashed when it was released by critics who were tired of BIG, the film was Ridley Scott's blueprint for GLADIATOR. Has one of the best Tiomkin scores, and some great Alec Guinness scenes. Loren was gorgeous. I once had lunch with Anthony Quayle and we talked all about it. Ha! I saw OPPENHEIMER in IMAX 70mm film last year (in Dallas) and -- I'll use a word that I almost never use -- that was A W E S O M E. In case anyone missed it, Megalopolis will be distributed by Lionsgate beginning Sept. 27 and will occupy a few IMAX screens for a week before it gives way to Warner's Joker sequel with Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. What's in these three sets of auctions? Our current Tuesday auctions ending July 2nd at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/13.html <https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/13.html> contain 1,665 folded U.S. & non-U.S. posters, lobby cards, stills, and 214 signed items at the start! This has a fabulous selection of VERY rarely seen items covering a very wide range of years and sizes! Our current Thursday auctions ending July 4th at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html <https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html> contain 1,025 standard and oversized rolled posters. If you are looking for a great poster (U.S. or non-U.S., movie or non-movie) to display on your wall, you are almost certain to find many candidates here! Our Sunday auctions ending July 7th at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html <https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html> contain 968 limited edition signed and numbered art prints! If YOU have not yet discovered these exciting collectibles that have become SO popular the past 20 years, NOW is a great time to do so!Or (for the next 15 days, until the Tuesday auctions start to close on the 12nd) view ALL of the 3,657 current auctions in a single gallery at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/all.html <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/all.html>, which is great if you want to search ALL of the auctions at once for a star, title, size or whatever! It is virtually a certainty that no matter what you collect you will find items of interest in this massive supermarket selection, and not only that, but we add a similar selection every four weeks, and you can wait SIXTEEN full weeks to have your purchases shipped, which saves you a fortune on combined shipping.Unlike other auctions, ours all start at $1 with no reserve, and all our items really sell! And we have NO buyers premiums (especially the dreadful 25% + $29 minimum ones), and we never enhance the images, and we honestly describe all that we auction. Who could ask for anything more? And given that these auctions close on and around the U.S. Fourth of July holiday, isn't it fitting and only right that YOU declare your independence from auctions that don't treat you the way you deserve to be treated, as we at eMoviePoster.com always do?Not yet registered to bid? Go to https://auctions.emovieposter.com/Registration.taf <https://auctions.emovieposter.com/Registration.taf> to sign up (we qualify our bidders, something few auctions do, which means you will always be bidding against real bidders who honor their bids). And if YOU are not interested in these, but have friends who would be (because they collect items like these or would find just one of interest) then do us (and them!) a favor by helping spread the word to them before these close!* Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: lists...@listserv.american.edu In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.

Re: [MOPO] Alamo-Drafthouse Goes Hollywood
really, I'm not entirely certain what Sony's endgame is here, considering that theatre seats aren't selling as well as they were pre-pandemic and the subscription model is kicking ass are they going to use it as a test market for more expensive seating & a different theatre experience as Spielberg, Lucas, Scorcese & Coppola have described? Use it as a film premiere venue & experience? Is it a harbinger of theatre chains being taken over by the film producers, to cut down competition & drive local theatre owners out of business? [MOPO] Final chance to send your August Major consignments, must be sent Friday, no extensions
*TOMORROW (Friday) is the final day to send consignments for our great August Major Auction, so if you don't send today or tomorrow, then you are too late! In the past I would give past consignors a few extra days to send, but now, with auctions that run for 3 weeks,I just can't find those extra few days in our schedule. But of course it IS fine to send early consignments for either our 25th Annual Halloween Auction or our December Major Auction, and if you send them now you are guaranteed they are "in", and you may see some of them in our early promo ads! When I said the August Major Auction is "great", I am not exaggerating one bit! You know how EVERY other major auction but us has a "round up the usual suspects" feel to them, filled with items that supposedly recently sold for vast sums of money, but for some reason they keep coming back to auction again and again and again? You will never see that is OUR auctions, because what we sell REALLY sells (in the very rare cases where the buyer never pays we always reveal that, and when the buyer later re-consigns the item we reveal that too!).And we make a MASSIVE effort to track down items we have NEVER auctioned before, or have only auctioned long ago, which gives OUR auctions a "fresh" quality you never see in other auctions. One quick look at the preview ads at https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#august2024 <https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#august2024> confirms that this is completely true with this auction!Do you think it makes a BIG difference WHICH auction you consign to? It can make all the difference in the world (money-wise and otherwise)! PLEASE go right now and read our new ad at https://emovieposter.com/online/20240613_testimonials_3.jpg <https://emovieposter.com/online/20240613_testimonials_3.jpg> for the first hand recent experiences of two consignors (one to ours, and one to our leading competitor)! We absolutely DO charge far less than ANY other major auction, at every price level! And if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, they are not telling you the truth! See https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#absoluteproof <https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#absoluteproof> for absolute proof of this! And recently, the #2 auction just raised their sky high 20% buyers premium to an other-worldly 25%, and we have updated the above page to reflect this sad new reality. As you will see on that page, When you compare, there is NO comparison!Would you rather receive $13,200 or $9,000 for a $15,000 poster? $960 or $720 for a $1,200 poster? $468 or $360 for a $600 poster? $72 or $53 for a $100 poster? And the most SHOCKING of all, 15 DOLLARS or 75 cents for a $30 poster?I hope many of you WILL send off list minute consignments today and tomorrow! Hi Greg I’m not quite a shipping chauvinist yet. I always used to sell “worldwide” to any destination but when Covid hit, I reduced international destinations and have only reinstated a small number of countries. Customs and other issues just make it not worth the risk. Fortunately, there are more customers than ever in Australia, the US plus a few other countries. Hi John, This is why I deal only with U.S. shipping. After having postal problems in Portugal, missing movie memorabilia in Mexico, and angered Anglos in England, I've become a shipping chauvinist. Re: [MOPO] Purchasing on eBay
I have had my issues with Ebay since the beginning, but I think some changes in the last couple of years have worked out to my advantage somewhat. I understand the issues with combined shipping, it does work if set up correctly, but it can get complicated. I use Inkfrog for listing, but my business profiles or set up with Ebay first. This is the key to the combined shipping, but of course the seller then has to put them in the cart to purchase. I get many that go ahead and purchase individually and never ask for a shipping refund. When I see it I always refund. In the business policy section you can even set up for a price for the first purchase and a certain amount for each additional. Actually you can adjust your settings for Buy Now purchases so that the buyer can add each item to their cart and then combined shipping will be calculated when they checkout. For me, it is specifically for the Buy Now purchases. The buyer must pay instantly and includes shipping. So, multiple Buy Now purchases generate a shipping fee for each purchase. Re: [MOPO] Purchasing on eBay
Combining shipping has always been a problem for sellers on eBay. There are ways to adjust your settings so that combined shipping will be automatically calculated at checkout but navigating to the right place to try and find out how to change the settings is not as easy as it should be. In any case, it only works if buyers purchase everything together. If they purchase something and pay and then decide to add something a bit later, you have to refund shipping separately and that has its issues. Strange that I neve have any problems with combined shipping on my website but eBay seems to make it more difficult than it should be. Re: [MOPO] Purchasing on eBay
Ebay has recently made some additional regressive changes, in my opinion. There is no longer the ability to combine shipping with the same seller in many cases. Various ‘make an offer’ or ‘buy it now’ options from the same seller bypass the creation of an invoice from that same seller… Ebay is now immediately processing the payment itself. I also just had a situation where someone made an offer, I accepted it and he didn't pay immediately. Turns out until he pays for the item, it doesn't belong to him and it is still available in my store for someone else to come in a purchase. [MOPO] DOWN TO THE WIRE! 7 DAYS LEFT TO CONSIGN TO OUR GREAT AUGUST MAJOR AUCTION!
*Doesn't August seem SUPER far away? After all summer is still two weeks away, and August is practically the end of summer! But THIS year our August Major Auction starts very early (on July 14th), and that means the FINAL deadline to consign is June 14th!This means there are just ONE WEEK left in which to send your consignments to this great auction (we don't have to receive them by then, but you have to SEND them by then)! We already have received over FIVE HUNDRED excellent consignments for this August Major Auction, which will run from 7/14 to 8/4! See just a few of them at https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#august2024 <https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#august2024>ALL of the ones at the above link (AND WE JUST ADDED MORE GREAT PREVIEWS!) are guaranteed to be in this special auction. As always, we most want items that are rare AND desirable, and we most want ones that we either have NEVER auctioned before, or only auctioned once or twice! If you have never consigned to eMoviePoster.com before, please go to https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign <https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign> At this page you'll read our "no fine print" simple explanation of how consigning works and exactly what we charge, which you WON'T find on any other major auctions' websites. And also go to https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#absoluteproof <https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#absoluteproof> for a clear explanation how we charge FAR lower fees than ANY other auction, at EVERY price level This page explains WHY such a high percentage of collectors choose eMoviePoster.com over ANY other auction when it comes time to consign. And recently, the #2 auction just raised their sky high 20% buyers premium to an other-worldly 25%, and we have updated the above pages to reflect this sad new reality. As you will see on the above pages, when you compare us to them, there is NO comparison!Would you rather receive $13,200 or $9,000 for a $15,000 poster? $960 or $720 for a $1,200 poster? $468 or $360 for a $600 poster? $72 or $53 for a $100 poster? And the most SHOCKING of all, 15 DOLLARS or 75 cents for a $30 poster? This is going to be a wonderful auction and if YOU have high quality items to sell you could do no better than to consign them to us (because in addition to charging WAY less, we get higher prices overall than any other auction, when you compare “apples to apples and oranges to oranges”). So if you want to quickly see solely the selection of FORTY EIGHT posters from Star Wars movies (a nice selection!), then all you have to do is click on the Search Filter that says "Star Wars", and it will take you to just those 48 auctions at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/special%253AStar%2520Wars/14.html [7] The same works for the many other Search Filters like the FORTY NINE James Bond posters at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/special%253AJames%2520Bond%2520007/14.html [8] ). Using our Search Filters will make your time spent looking at our auctions FAR more productive, and it helps make certain you don't miss any posters of interest to you! BUT WAIT! There is even more! Because we switched to "every four week" auctions, we finally have time to list smaller quantities of LOTS of unusual miscellaneous posters of many different kinds! So in this set of auctions closing today, you will ALSO find LOTS of other rare types and sizes as well! Best of luck to every one of you who bids on any of the 1,000 auctions closing in HOURS today, starting at 7 PM CT at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html [9] [10] Virus-free.www.avg.com [10] - To unsubscribe from the MoPo-L list, click the following link: https://listserv.american.edu/scripts/wa-american.exe?SUBED1=MoPo-L=1 [11] Links: -- [1] http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html [2] https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253Ainsert/14.html [3] https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253Ahalf-sheet/14.html [4] https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253Aone-sheet/14.html [5] https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/nation%253AJapan/14.html [6] https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253ABritish%2520quad/14.html [7] https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/special%253AStar%2520Wars/14.html [8] https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/special%253AJames%2520Bond%2520007/14.html [9] https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html [10] http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=emailutm_source=linkutm_campaign=sig-emailutm_content=webmail [11] https://listserv.american.edu/scripts/wa-american.exe?SUBED1=MoPo-L=1 ---- Visi

[MOPO] August Major Auction starts very early this year, FINAL deadline to consign is June 14th!
*Doesn't August seem SUPER far away? After all summer is still two weeks away, and August is practically the end of summer! But THIS year our August Major Auction starts very early (on July 14th), and that means the FINAL deadline to consign is June 14th!This means there are just TWO WEEKS left in which to send your consignments to this great auction (we don't have to receive them by then, but you have to SEND them by then)! We already have received over FIVE HUNDRED excellent consignments for this August Major Auction, which will run from 7/14 to 8/4! See just a few of them at https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#august2024 <https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#august2024>ALL of the ones at the above link (and the two half-sheets and quads shown here) are guaranteed to be in this special auction. This is going to be a wonderful auction and if YOU have high quality items to sell you could do no better than to consign them to us (because we get higher prices overall than any other auction, when you compare “apples to apples and oranges to oranges”). You must SEND your consignments no later than June 14th (we don't have to receive them by then). We already have received many HUNDREDS of excellent consignments for this August Major Auction, which will run from 7/14 to 8/4! so since im ona roll... i thoughti would mention a few things about success and money ever notice that Italians can cry over failed pizza dough??? and that many times we put more in the art than the profits justask Dvinci.. or others inthart field from BC to now so Francis is fufilling his heritage// when i sent Frank Capra a movie real time clock i made his secretary called me..Frank want to send you stills from Its wonderful life i thought wow he liked my clock..theni watched thefilm inthe start ofthe film they ask why God picked the Clockmaker Clarence to help George Bailey- James stewart I finally saw why Frank Capra was touched.// ne was Sicilian my heritage is Sicilian on my dad side and Italian on my mothers side so it fits into my family heritage Then this year I found out that the legendary Frank Sinatra was also Sicilian the funny note is that one it's a wonderful life came out in 1946 it bombed at the box office moneywise yet has been a classic ever since and for me what are the most touching films ever made that I have witnessed I noticed a correlation between Italians passion for projects when I think of Italy everything from the cars clothing music and art has always been superb quality not based on profit margins but based on its ever touching quality my family's name from dad side of Palermo Sicily was Marotta and 15th-century artist what is the name Carlos Marratta who did a wonderful painting of Virgin Mary and child a school teacher gave me a small reprint of the paining years ago and said you could be related to him and when I researched Sicily it said they spelled the name various ways depending on what part of Sicily the family came from so they were variations on the spelling I thought it would be funny if I was related somehow to the painter I am very thankful for my heritage and I feel a connection even though I never met my father who was the sergeant in the US Marine Corps during the Korean conflict in the 50s I have been in touch with my cousin who still lives in Rochester New York and we have so much in common he was a drummer and he loves the Beatles and loves Italian food it's funny how you can be thousands of miles apart and still have a connection in your roots So when I heard that Francis Ford Coppola is having a issue with distribution I thought this is the typical Italian thing because he obviously has great passion for his project but to convey it to the other people is the difficulty and when I hear the word experimental film it usually means this project is going to cost a lot of money but may not return the money somehow I see the same thought process when Michelangelo negotiating the Sistine chapel or countless sculptures and paintings End of rant:) this post intentions may get you a cupp a coffee maybeLOL Tom Hollywood dream factory® since 1977 Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: lists...@listserv.american.edu In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.

[MOPO] FA: Our newly added 2,535 Tuesday and Thursday auctions are as good as it gets!
*We at eMoviePoster.com have two great current sets of auctions (containing 2,535 auctions in all!) that close Tuesday June 4th and Thursday June 6th (in our "every four week auctions).WAIT! I hear some of you saying, "But what about the Sunday auctions (which haven't started yet, but will close June 9th"? Those auctions will contain 587 vintage comic books, which I know are not of interest to many of you, because you don't collect those.BUT BECAUSE OF THAT SPECIAL COMIC BOOK AUCTION, WE POSITIVELY OVERLOADED BOTH THE TUESDAY AND THURSDAY AUCTIONS WITH TONS OF GREAT ITEMS, WHICH WILL BE IMMEDIATELY OBVIOUS TO ALL OF YOU THE MOMENT YOU LOOK AT THEM!These two sets of auctions contain so many varied items that at least some of them are likely to be of great interest to virtually EVERY collector! PLEASE start looking these over very soon, because you will need a LOT of time to look over 2,535 auctions, and if you wait until near the end times to start looking at them, you will almost surely miss at least a few items you would have loved to buy, at a price you would have loved to pay!!What's in these TWO sets of auctions? Our current Tuesday auctions ending May 7th at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/13.html <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/13.html> contain 1,535 folded U.S. & non-U.S. posters, great pressbooks, lobby cards, stills, and MUCH more, so much more that it will take you hours just to make a quick run through it all!Our current Thursday auctions ending May 9th at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html> contain 1,000 rolled posters (U.S., non-U.S., and NON-movie posters). This has a fabulous selection of posters of every kind, spread pretty evenly from the 1950s to the present, with EIGHTY rare ones from before 1950! If you are looking for a great poster (U.S. or non-U.S., movie or non-movie!) to display on your wall, you are almost certain to find many candidates here! For the next EIGHTEEN full days, until the Tuesday auctions start to close on the 4th) view ALL of the 2,535 current auctions in a single gallery at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/all.html <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/all.html>, which is especially valuable if you want to search ALL of the current 2,535 auctions at once for a star, genre, size or whatever! It is virtually a certainty that no matter what you collect you will find items of interest in this massive supermarket selection (in fact, if YOU can't find a LOT of items you would like to own, you likely need to look for a new hobby!). This month's Tuesday and Thursday selections are really THAT good, as one quick look at the auctions will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt! And not only that, but we add a similar selection every four weeks (although the auctions all run for 3 weeks each, with a week off in-between), and you can now wait SIXTEEN full weeks to have your purchases shipped, which saves you a fortune on combined shipping (we raised our old very generous 12 week Pay and Hold period to an unheard of 16 weeks!).Note that ALL these items started at $1 (some will end there) and ALL have NO reserve (and NO outrageous 20% or 25% "buyers premiums", especially the dreadful "$29 minimum", that mean NO item can sell for under $30, and apparently one auction is about to raise that to an other-worldly "$49 minimum"). Isn't it time YOU decided to NEVER buy from auctions that don't treat you the way you deserve to be treated? They say one picture is worth a million words (with inflation!), and looking at the images of the 2,535 current auctions closing the 4th and the 6th is worth more than millions of words I could write! And PLEASE don't wait until "later" to start looking these over, because, with 3,364 auctions there will be many great buys made! But YOU can't get those if you are not bidding, so please start looking now! I could easily write a great deal more, but I would much rather you simply see for yourself at the above links!* <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email_source=link_campaign=sig-email_content=webmail> Virus-free.www.avg.com <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email_source=link_campaign=sig-email_content=webmail> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2> Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: lists...@listserv.american.edu In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.

[MOPO] NEW PREVIEWS ADDED! Just 3 weeks left to consign to our August Major Auction!
*If you collect movie paper or any kind of posters, you won't want to miss our August Major Auction, which begins July 14th!And if you have great posters or movie paper you have considered selling, know that it is now time to consign to our August Major Auction! You have a little over 3 weeks left to consign, and it includes all the preview items shown at https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#august2024 <https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#august2024>Why consign to OUR major auctions rather than to those of other auctions? First and foremost, because we charge FAR less than ANY other major auction, at every price level! And if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, they are not telling you the truth. See https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#absoluteproof <https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#absoluteproof> for absolute proof of this!AND you should also consign to us instead of ANYWHERE else because we get higher prices overall than any other auction, when you compare “apples to apples and oranges to oranges”We have 35 years of experience (and 69,000 past buyers and active registered users, and 3,368 previous consignors) to prove that we treat ALL our consignors and bidders the way you should be treated, with TRUE customer service EVERY step of the way.We have over $116 MILLION in sales, and have averaged over SIX million dollars of sales the past 6 years (and every sale was a REAL sale, to a real bidder, and NO other auction can say that).Speaking of that, have you noticed that many other auctions have perfected the "art of auctioning without auctioning"? Unlike them, we actually DO auction every item we list, and they REALLY sell to the high bidders! So many other auctions keep listing the very same items OVER AND OVER again (and again, and again, and again!), and we don't mean the same TITLES, but the actual exact same posters! We don't know what that means, but it sure ISN'T what we do here at eMoviePoster.com! EVERY one of our items actually sells, which is why you rarely see the exact same items EVER return to our auctions! When it does (a fraction of the time that it happens at other auctions) it is either when a purchaser re-consigns it to us, or the very rare times when the buyer never pays us, and we always identify either of these when they happen. That is why our auctions are such a "breath of fresh air" as opposed to every other auction, and why we get better results overall, because bidders and buyers love knowing that our auctions are completely honest! And of course it also helps that we do everything else right too! Why consign anywhere else when you can consign to the best auction there is? Contact us TODAY with what you have and you may see your items in our next preview ad!* <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email_source=link_campaign=sig-email_content=webmail> Virus-free.www.avg.com <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email_source=link_campaign=sig-email_content=webmail> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2> Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: lists...@listserv.american.edu In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.

My point being: An original 1973 Bob Dylan autograph on a PAT GARRETT AND BILLY THE KID Onesheet might raise the value of this very affordable poster to a completely different level. On the other hand, in my personal perception, a more or less recent McDowell signature on a rare and expensive CLOCKWORK ORANGE poster would much rather lower the value than enhance it. For what it's worth... A friend once asked me to take his absolute gem mint 1941 Joe DiMaggio Playball card to a card show and have Joe Di sign it. At the show a well respected dealer told me it would be a huge mistake to get that card signed. Would be better to get a lesser grade card signed to give it better value. I called my friend and told him what he said. I didn't get it signed. Obviously this was many years ago.
