Do NOT take Lithium. Is the Orotate form any different from other types of
 Lithium? I don't
know, but Lithium will stop your thyroid production in its tracks and damage
 its ability to
function causing hypothyroidism and goiter (an enlarged thyroid). This will
 make you fat,
depressed and in way more emotional and physical pain than you were in

 Hi,

I will testify to one plastic container. It was a Rubbermaid brand, 2 gallon
size with a spigot It had a terrible odor but washed it out then swished
colloidal silver around in it before using it for CS. The odor seemed to go
away but the memory of that smell made me want to find a glass container.
Finally found a gallon glass jar with a spigot on ebay and when I quit using
the plastic container for CS, the odor returned. It was in the plastic. On
one list, there was mention of estrogen leaching from plastic containers but
not sure which list now. Just the memory of that smell makes me want to
 avoid plastic of any kind!

CSSilver and a goat

2006-10-04 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi,

How old is this sick goat? Too young to ruminate?

I have used colloidal silver on a baby goat before and it seemed to work.

Another question, if the rumen is dead, wouldn't probiotics help an older
goat?

Lots of unanswered questions and ones that would have to be addressed before
you could possibly treat it. The vet would ask many questions. Temperature
would be my vet's first question, then what have I done to treat my goat,
what are the symptoms and many more questions. An animal can't talk.

Seems to me a vet would be in order.

Like cow's milk, *goat's* milk is low in essential fatty acids, because
*goats* also have EFA-destroying bacteria in their *ruminant* stomachs.

easy striding. Then, the article went on to mention you could wear an

CSEssential fatty acids, flax and chia

2006-08-24 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi Terry,

I read many years ago, with only Chia, that Indians could go for days with
only this seed as energy. It nearly would have to regulate blood sugar but
as with most good things, seems it was forced into the dark of the night.

Will we ever stay ahead?

Jean

*

The contrast between the healthy fatty acids and
benefits found in chia seeds vs flax seeds is
significant. Here are excerpts from articles
 concerning this topic:

The restrictions on the use of flaxseed in humans is
due mainly to the presence of toxic cianoglicosides
(linamarin) and vitamin B6 antagonic factors (Vetter,
2000; Center for Alternative Plant and Animal
Products, 1995; Stitt, 1989; Butler et al., 1965).

All flax varieties have these anti-nutritional
factors, even the new genetically modified varieties
such as FP967, which has a concentration of total
cyanogenic compounds (total linamarin, linustatin, and
neolinustatin) very similar to the traditional
varieties (Canadian Food Inspection Agency, 1998).

Human consumption of flaxseed is banned in France and
used with limitations in Germany, Switzerland and
Belgium (Le Conseil d'Etat, 1973). In the USA,
although human consumption is not prohibited, it does
not have FDA approval. This means that should a
company decide to include flax in a food product, it
shall be liable for the safety of that product
 (Vanderveen, 1986).

Recent research with animals has shown the negative
action that flax has on pregnancy and reproductive
development. These effects have been attributed to the
action of the compound known as diclycoside
 ecoisolariciresinol (SDG), which through microbial
action acts as estrogenic depressor or potentiator in
mammals. Flax is known as the richest source of SDG
and therefore special caution is recommended if
consumed during pregnancy and lactation (Toug et al.,
 1998; Rickard and Thompson, 1998).

Chia seed contains a number of compounds with potent
 antioxidant activity: myricetin, quercetin, kaemperol,
and caffeic acid. These compounds are both primary and
synergistic antioxidants and contribute in a major way
to the strong antioxidant activity of chia
(Castro-Martinez et al., 1986; Taga et al., 1984).

None of the toxic factors found in flax have been
found in either chia seeds or chia oil (Ayerza and
 Coates, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999 and 1997; Lin et al.,
1994; Weber et al., 1991; Ting et al., 1990, Bushway
 et al., 1984)

Eggs from hens fed chia have a relationship between
#945;-linolenic fatty acid and its metabolite DHA,
similar to that one found in human milk in Germany,
France, Nigeria, Japan and China. Also the
DHA:#945;-linolenic ratios of the eggs produced by
hens fed 7% chia diets are similar to the eggs from
hens fed under free range conditions, that is hens
consuming green leafy vegetables, fresh and dried
fruits, insects and occasional worms (Simopoulos and
 Salem, 1992).

 [End of quotes]

Chia seeds completely dissolve in liquid. They
stabilize blood sugar and supply much higher levels of
essential fatty acids than does flax. I put 3 tbsn
chia seeds in a smoothy and can go all day on it.

means, make a product that was good for you, unnatural and unrecognizable to
your body. Of course, they will have more prescriptions to overcome any
problems the tweaked product causes. I understand now where they are

Comfort Pillow that helps allergy sufferers by using integrated silver
nano-particles that keep germs and microbes at bay.

Maybe we will go back to using real silverware?

 Yet another mainstream silver product:

My wife has just purchased, through the mainstream Sharper Image, a Fresher
Longer Miracle Food Storage unit which contains 12 refrigerator storage
containers constructed of plastic impregnated with nanoparticles of
 silver.

They reduce spoilage, reduce mold fungus, are naturally anti-germ
anti-mold, anti-fungus, which reduce the growth of microorganisms by
 over 98 percent.

If Sharper Image is selling this stuff, it's proof positive that silver
really works as a germ/bacteria fighter, regardless of what the FDA says or
 doesn't say.

Hi,

I buy my diatomaceous earth (DE), at the feed store. It cost $19.95 for 50
lb of food grade DE. I use it on weevils in grain, in the goat's loose
mineral mixture (for worms), on ant beds, dust the dogs for ticks and fleas
and to dust the garden without poisonous chemicals. It looks like sharp
glass under an electron microscope. Lots more information on the internet

Hi Marshall,

I've spent over an hour looking through two major catalogs. So far, the
best I've come up with is the 400 IU size (not the 1,000 IU size Brickey
speaks of), with all of the four natural d-mixed tocopherols.

If anyone finds the mixed natural d-tocopherols in the 1,000 IU size,
please let me know because my sister needs to try this. I will buy some
immediately for her if I can just locate it. My sister hates to take a lot
of pills and the difference would be 3 pills of the 1,000 IU compared to 7
or 8 pills of the 400 IU.

In the meantime, if I locate the 1,000 IU size of mixed tocopherol Vit. E, I
will let the list know the brand and where it can be found.

Thank you,

You already have the answer.Colloidal Silver. I have had two friends with
Crohn's, and two with lupus. They are all better just adding CS. If they
take homemade CS, they should take 16-20 oz. per day with 8-10 drops of H2o2
3% added to it. Add some Gatorade or non citrus juice for flavor. Drink a
little all day long. Her Crohn's will be gone in a matter of months..It
is my opinion this will pretty much work with most auto immune diseases. It
may take longer for some auto immune diseases, but it sure beats the

CSstomach ache from CS?

2006-01-01 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net

I had a brother-in-law who wouldn't willingly go to a doctor but finally his
pain caused him to go. Unsure of what was wrong, the doctor diagnosed
ulcers and gave him Tagamet, which helped immensely. Later the doctor
decided he didn't have ulcers and took the Tagamet away, despite my sister
pleading with him to let her husband have the medicine. Later, after many
spells, he was rushed to the Veteran's hospital in Big Spring, TX. He had
bleeding and intense pain. Unable to diagnose, they then rushed him to
Dallas, TX, where he had surgery for what they was sure was cancer. Turned
out it was a gigantic ulcer that had eaten away part of his stomach and
intestine. He made it through surgery but he was proud and stoic, which was
his downfall. By the time he was in pain, the pain medication wouldn't help
him. After 5 days or so, he died.

I don't care for any doctors but am willing to allow them to try to diagnose
for awhile.

Guess it is a matter of how much pain a person can stand?

Jean

There are several grades and one was very satisfactory as to taste. Sorry,
don't know which one it was but it was more purified/concentrated and only a

a cup of anything.

This did not stop the cancer's craving for sugar but made the drinks quite
tolerable at the time.

Hi Bil,

I once had a Rat Terrier who had been run over, maybe by the tractor (he had
a great fear of a cloud and would seek me out), or maybe by someone driving
down the road. Anyway, I found him sitting by the back door one night with
such an odd expression that I bent over to pet him. When I did, he fell
over, as stiff as a board. I carried him inside and found him bleeding from
every orifice. Aware of cayenne pepper at that time and it's ability to
stop bleeding (causes regulation of blood pressure so as to not bleed out),
I made a hot dose of cayenne tincture, or about as much cayenne as possible
in two cc of water. I drenched my dog in the side of his mouth for he had
clenched teeth. I then heavily stroked his throat to get him to swallow,
which he did. No reaction at all to the cayenne tincture which had to be
like fire. It was a case of life or death in my opinion. I then rushed him
to the vet who kept him for a week before allowing him to come home, then he
spent about two more weeks hobbling around. He was perfectly fine after
that and there is no doubt in my mind but what the cayenne tincture saved
his life.

CSTooth Soap

2005-11-06 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi,

My all time favorite toothpaste is: half baking soda and half sea salt
(ground fine in a coffee grinder). It tastes good, teeth feel great and
best of all, don't have to wonder what noxious ingredients are in there.

Who needs all their toxic chemicals?

Jean

**

There is glycerin in ALL soaps according to what folks say who make
soap. Some soaps have added glycerin besides the normal glycerin
 produced when soap is made.

I did the Judd soap brushing for almost a year with no beneficial
results. However, I could not drink the sodium ascorbate, as it made me
nauseous, maybe if I could have followed the whole thing there would
have been results. But for me I have gone back to Weleda Calendula
toothpaste and rinsing with diluted H202 and EIS. I actually have less
tartar now than when I was brushing with soap. However for cleaning my
TMJ dental splint, brushing it with soap is the best thing I've found to
 keep it clean and odor-free.

CSVit A overdose

2005-10-09 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi,

I went to Wal-Mart yesterday to buy some natural Vit. E. The synthetic Vit.
E is generally cheaper and you will not see NATURAL on the front of the
container. I noted the word natural was not emblazoned but was fairly
demure.

My advice is to read the label for they will either say natural, or nothing.
If they say nothing, you can assume the worst.

There was a doctor in the Eastern US (I'll try to find

(quite successfully). He gave his patients 3,000,000
I.U.s of Vit A/day without ever seeing any overdose
symptoms. He stated that every overdose was with
 synthetic A.

When I lived in the US, I regularly ingested 100,000
I.U.s of Vit A/day as a lifestyle for years. Here in
 Canada, I cannot get 25,000 I.U. Vit A (5,000 I.U is
 the maximum allowed).

No this isn't a 'hoax'. This is just an example of the type of
misinformation that is routinely espoused by sources such as these. In
this case a topic was chosen that could be shown to be false
technologically . When the topic is how evil the govt, certain
persons, particularly hated companies, etc are then any refutation can
easily be discarded as 'merely opionion by an obvious idiot'.

Maybe ya'll should look at your sources of the hatred you seem to be
addicted to with more of a critical eye. Doing your 'due diligence'
generally consists of a bit more research that following links
referenced by your hate monger of choice.

When the FDA does it you call it an insideous and dangerous lie. When
your selected internet oracle does it you call it a revelation.

By the way...what ever happened to the Great Codex Pogrom that was
screamed about all summer? I haven't noticed any Jack-Booted Thugs
cleaning out the local GNC lately. Did I miss the rescheduling memo?
Maybe the JBT is waiting for the distraction provided by Nibiru to do

However, your correct Terpenes; monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes cross the

Curious isn't it. Simple folks knew the basics way back in time, before the
wonderful world of chemistry. Specific oils kill viruses.

2005-08-08 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi Ken,

My sister has a Pug who was overdosed on steroids (not the vet's fault), and
has ruined his immune system. He now has aspergillis in his lungs and after
5 shots of an antibiotic of the last resort, was no better. I offered to
let her use my Multi Tech XJ-3000C, air purification system (ionizer, ozone,
hepa filter, UV light, activated carbon). One night and he was MUCH better
according to my sister. We will see.

Jean

**

There are alot of lawsuits out there pending
regarding various ozone air purification devices, and
I've reviewed reports from devestated parents who have
used such devices, whose children have apparently
experienced permanent lung damage from the use of such
machines. While I cannot vouch for the authenticity of
these claims, I doubt that the parents are simply
 money-grubbing people, or FDA plants.

That scares me. I think I'm going to stop using my
ionizers. My little girl has for the past 36 hours of
so been coughing and wheezing and short of breath, and
the albuterol we are currently giving her (temporarily
until I get a nebulizer and some CS) is barely
working. I beginning to wonder if the ionizers are at
fault. But I really don't know. I'm going to turn
them off, and I'm going to tell my wife to take Sophia
to the beach for the day. Maybe that will help clear
 her up.

CSfor cat with liver problems?

2005-08-03 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi Wendy,

I understand it is critical if a cat doesn't eat for a period of time.
Secondly, yellow eyes sounds like problems with the liver/jaundice.
Thirdly, dehydration is a killer. Purring doesn't necessarily mean the cat
is doing well. I would see a vet post haste!

Jean

We took our cat to a homeopathic vet and he has chosen a remedy for him.
However he¹s going on holidays in 4 days and since our cat has not eaten in at
least a week he figures if the remedy doesn¹t work we should look at having
 him put down.

Beisdes losing weight rapidly, not eating, and being dehydrated, his eyes are
a bit yellow as are his ears, otherwise, he¹s still purring and hanging out.

Any suggestions about using colloidal silver at this point?

 Thanks

CSNATIONAL HEALTH FEDERATION - CAFTA Press Release

2005-07-09 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi,

I can guess and my two guesses are:

1. There is a black market for over supply of ephedrine.
2. They have a 'cost plus' operation (like in WW2, where the factories
operated like this and the more they used/wasted, the more money they made).

Jean

*

A drug search for ephedrine (the isolated ingredient of the
herb ma/ ephedra, plenty of OTC products. So it is still out
there. There is a warning on Sudafed that overdose makes
you drowsy. But pop a handful and you'll get a buzz (so they
say, I never tried it). You may be right and maybe ephedra
was unadulterated compared to Sudafed but IMO, BOTH
products were made by phamaucitcals (not by a herbalist).

 Here's a question.

Drug Companies routinely produce many times over the number
of legal prescriptions (or OTC sales) as the legitimate
demand call for - including the free samples. They have been
doing this for years. Why in a business sense would they
continue to produce say 1,000 units when they can only sell
or give away 100 units ???

Since OUR government has statistics on everything ... like
how many eggs the average American eats per year, I wonder
how many Sudafed's each American consumes (buys) versus how
many Sudafed's (ephedrine) are produced each year.
(Referring to previous posts) that answer will show that
Senator Feinstein's (D-CA) heart is in the right place -
depending upon who you're working for that is...

Below is the response I got from my Senator. Not very heartening.

 Dear Mrs. :

Thank you for writing to express your concerns regarding the
Codex Alimentarius legislation proposed under the World Trade
Organization (WTO). I appreciate the time you took to write.

I understand your serious concern regarding this issue. As you
know, the WTO is an international body which addresses the rules of
trade between countries. At its heart are the WTO agreements,
negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world's trading nations, which
provide the legal ground-rules for international commerce. They are
essentially contracts, binding governments to keep their trade policies
 within agreed limits.

The availability of dietary supplements to the public is
important, but it is equally important that these supplements do not put
the consumer's health at stake. I believe that if we are to ensure the
safety of those who consume dietary supplements, we must make sure
that these supplements are not hazardous to their health. We cannot
allow deaths, such as those caused by the dietary supplement Ephedra, to
continue. Please know that I will continue to monitor the work of the
WTO and be sure to keep your thoughts in mind as I do so.

Again, thank you for writing. I hope that you will continue to
keep me informed of your views and concerns. If you should have
further questions regarding this or any other issue, please do not hesitate

CSCystitis and Cranactin

2005-06-26 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi,

I was told by my best friend, her MIL had one infection after another over
years and was always on antibiotics. Someone told her about 'Cranactin'
from the health food store and she never had another infection from that day
forward. Guess it cured the lingering infection up? One capsule is equal
to 1 or 1 1/2 quarts of cranberry juice. Several people have tried this and
had the same results and quickly.

Also have read rubbing the inside of a cucumber on a trail would repel

their ant bed is our roof...they have invaded under the shingles...we live in
the woods and everyone around here is having more ants then they have ever
 seen...even in town.

can we say screwed up environment anyone?

ps...but we did try the grits hoping they would carry it back to the colony.
they take everything we offer and thrive...

we even tried putting sugar under the house so they will eat there instead of
our kitchen...it has helped a little...

h202 has been the most effective for repelling them from the counters...not a
total fix but has helped...dunno why tho.

Hi,

There are two forms of DE (Diatomaceous Earth). One is for agriculture/food
grade and one is for swimming pools. The swimming pool type is less than
worthless to kill insects because it has been fired and lost the sharp
edges. I buy the agriculture/food grade in 50 lb sacks at a feed store for
about $30. Works on all insects without hesitation. I even feed it mixed
in the minerals for my animals to help with internal worms and external
flies. There have been many studies of D.E.'s efficacy but as usual, all
the studies are mixed or clouded and no one can seemingly draw any clear
conclusions. My opinion is, it works miracles!

I have used DE without much success. I bought 10 lbs of it and was putting
generous amounts on all of the hills. At first it did seem to help but then
the next week they were back.

CS***Study conclusion that Gymnema acts by increasing cell permeabiliy plus increasing insulin secretion

2005-06-13 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi Debbie,

Are you saying gymnema sylvestre acts in the same way as prescription drugs?

Thank you,

***

And what this says is that gymnema increases the
release of insulin from the pancreas, and the
mechanism is increasing cell permeability and
making it leaky to the insulin comes out more readily.
This is very different that increasing insulin
sensitivity (responsiveness) at the cell level in
the peripheral tissues. Releasing more insulin
actuallly worsens hyperinsulinemia, which in turn
may lower blood sugar but at the expense of
 insulinemic damage throughout the system.

CScar wreck

Hi Marshalee,

What gets me on the uninsured motorist is, in the state of Texas you have to
have insurance to get your registration sticker BUT you can get a refund
right after getting your sticker. You can't tell me our elected officials
have any horse sense! They should require you show proof of selling your
car if you ask for a refund. Maybe that is too simple?

Why not go after the uninsured motorist? Surely they are responsible for
their actions.

CSOmega-3 and diabetes

Hi,

Once I had a Boer doe with ketosis so severe the vet had given up on her,
she was too weak to stand up on her own, refused to eat or drink, lost half
her body weight, was grinding her teeth in pain and I brought her all the
way back with drenches of gymnema sylvestre, blue-green algae (both are
supposed to regulate blood sugar), and other things to give her sustenance
until she turned around and began to eat on her own (2 or 3 days).

There is ample proof of effectiveness of omega-3 for diabetics. It seems
related to the fact that insulin resistance may be modulated by TNF and fish

I am curious about Gymmema I have not read about adverse effects.Do you have

EUROPE DEBATES THE MOST MASSIVE CHEMICAL BAN IN HISTORY
The European Parliament is set to debate new regulations that would
dramatically increase the number of banned chemicals in the EU. The law
would require manufacturers of some 30,000 currently legal chemicals to
provide scientific evidence that their products are safe for human health
and the environment. If the legislation passes, it would have a major impact
on thousands of chemicals and products manufactured and sold in the U.S.
Despite much weaker regulations in the U.S. many American companies have no
choice but to adhere to European regulations given that the EU, with 25

CSAnimals Do Laugh

2005-04-28 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net

Hi,

I found this very interesting so wanted to share!

Jean

One of our newsletter readers sent us this article that was in the
Chicago paper. We thought it was kind of fun and interesting
and thought our animal lover friends would enjoy knowing for
certain that our pets laugh (probably at us). As a pet lover, we
would venture to say that you already knew this and you
most likely aren't even a scientist.

Animals Enjoy A Good Laugh, Too, Say Scientists
By Peter Gorner, Chicago Tribune Science Reporter

Tickling rats to make them chirp with joy may seem frivolous as
a scientific pursuit, yet understanding laughter in animals may lead to
revolutionary treatments for emotional illness, researchers suggest.

Joy and laughter, they say, are proving not to be uniquely human
traits.

Roughhousing chimpanzees emit characteristic pants of
excitement, their version of ha-ha-ha limited only by their anatomy
and lack of breath control, researchers contend.

Dogs have their own sound to spur other dogs to play, and
recordings of the sound can dramatically reduce stress levels in
shelters and kennels, according to the scientist who discovered it.

Panksepp, of Bowling Green State University in Ohio, sums up the
latest studies in this week's edition of the journal Science in hopes of
alerting colleagues to results that he terms spectacular. The research
suggests that studying animal emotions, once a scientific taboo, seems
to be moving rapidly into the mainstream.

It's very, very difficult to find skeptics these days. The
study of animal emotions has really matured.

Neural circuits for laughter exist in very ancient regions of
the brain, Panksepp said, and ancestral forms of play and laughter
existed in other animals eons before we humans came along.

Research in this area is just the beginning wave of the
future, said comparative ethologist Gordon Burghardt, of the University
of Tennessee, who studies the evolution of play. It will allow us to
bridge the gap with other species.

Tickles are the key, Panksepp said. They open up a previously
hidden world. Panksepp had studied play vocalizations in animals
for years before it occurred to him that they might be an ancestral
form of laughter. Then I went to the lab and tickled some rats.
Tickled them gently around the nape of their necks. Wow!

The tickling made the rats chirp happily--as long as the
animal's friendly toward you, he said. If not, you won't get a single
chirp, just like a child that might be suspicious of an adult.

During human laughter, the dopamine reward circuits in the brain
light up. When researchers neurochemically tickled those same areas in
rat brains, the rats chirped.

Panksepp said that laughter, at least in response to a direct
physical stimulus such as tickling, may be a common trait shared by all
mammals.

Laughter in chimps, our closest genetic relatives, is associated
with rough-and-tumble play and tickling, Provine found. That came as no
surprise.

It's like the behavior of young children, said Provine, of the
University of Maryland Baltimore County. A tickle and laughter are the
first means of communication between a mother and her baby, so laughter
appears by about four months after birth.

We humans laugh on outward breaths. When we say `ha-ha-ha,'
we're chopping an outward breath, Provine said. Chimps can't do that.
They make one sound per inward and outward breath. They don't have the
breath control to ... make the traditional human laugh.

The breakthrough in dog laughter was accomplished by University
of Nevada, Reno, researcher Patricia Simonet while working with
undergraduates at Sierra Nevada College in Lake Tahoe.

With extensive chimp research behind her, Simonet was open to
the idea of animal emotions, but the laughing sound she discovered in
dogs was unexpected: a breathy, pronounced, forced exhalation that
sounds to the untrained ear like a normal dog pant.

But a spectrograph showed a burst of frequencies, some beyond
human hearing. A plain pant is simpler, limited to just a few
frequencies.

Hearing a tape of the dog laugh made single animals take up toys
and play by themselves, Simonet said. It never initiated aggressive
responses.

If you want to invite your dog to play using the dog laugh, say
`hee, hee, hee' without pronouncing the `ee,' Simonet said. Force out
the air in a burst, as if you're receiving the Heimlich maneuver.

When she played a recording of a laughing dog at an animal
shelter, Simonet found that even 8-week-old puppies reacted by starting
to play, something they hadn't done when exposed to other dog sounds.

Some sounds, like growls, confused the puppies. But the dog
laugh caused sheer joy and brought down the stress levels in the shelter
immediately.

We thought you would want to know.

Yours for happy pets,

CSSilver saved Rosemary?

Hi,

I'm thinking, Who cares? Either her doctor made a mistake and/or this woman
made a mistake in overdosing. She is still alive and doing well.

Can't say the same for all the victims of adverse reactions, wrongly dosed
and over dosed prescription drugs.

My only curiosity now is, how long will this silver 'victim' live? The
longer she lives, the more might be said for silver. In fact, if I were
her, would be concerned they might see this as an adverse thing and make
sure she has a short life.

CSRed Yeast Rice Cholesterol

2005-03-11 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
 Hi Denise,

Red Yeast Rice was here long before Mevacor, so perhaps the 'grandfather'
clause saved it. I'm sure the FDA would love to keep this one off the market
for their buddies but to say it was chemically too similar to the prescription
Mevacor as an excuse was idiotic, even for them.

 Jean

 *

I did find an article on WholeHealthMD.com that mentions the FDA withdrawing
it, it said, In 2001, however, red yeast rice extract, a natural
unregulated nutritional supplement, was withdrawn by the FDA. This decision
followed the agency's determination that it was chemically too similar to the
prescription statin medication Mevacor, and thus should be classified as a
drug, which by law is strictly controlled by the federal government.

Graviola, take one cap first to see how you feel. You may feel drowzy or slow
because it is an ATP inhibitor. For this reason I take mine at night before
bed. I also experienced some nausea when I took two caps on an empty stomach.
Everyone is different. My friend takes 6 caps during the day with no problems.
Start with one and see how you feel and add more as you can till you reach a

CS

2005-01-13 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net

 Hi Steve,

I would add to Richard Harris's information, you might even be talking to a
pregnant lady; it might be the FDA in 'sheep's clothing'.

It is much better to tell of your, or a friend's experiment and close with,
You should always ask the advice of a doctor.

I congratulate you on wanting to help this lady; however, I'd be the first to
caution you on advising a pregnant lady--other than telling her to ask her
doctor about adding CS and then follow his directions. Should she TAKE CS and
then be doing many other things during pregnancy and have ANY problems, then
you can rest assured YOU and CS will be blamed, whether or not you actually
are. You're in a lose-lose situation and liable to many charges--1st of which
is Practicising medicine without a license. I urge you to continue seeking
to help others less fortunate, but remember NOT to Say anything that you don't
actually Know and Pregnancy treatment and favorable delivery are high in that
 category.

Please check my Site let me know if I can be of help.

 Sincerely,
 ___

 Dear Members

A healthy and prosperous 2005 to one and all.

We produce very good quality CS and a friend of ours in an avid user. She has
expressed concern about taking it while she is pregnant.

Although I¹m convinced it is perfectly safe and will even aid the
developing foetus in growth and health as well as easing the mother¹s
delivery and recovery I¹m not sure how to reassure her.

My main concern is that she may be taking certain prescription drugs, whose
side-effects may cause complications. If that happens, heaven forbid, and her
doctor finds out she¹s been taking CS, he may be quick to blame any problems
 on CS.

Has anyone ever heard of any adverse reaction for pregnant women?

 Thanks in advance.

 Steve
