Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Getting LMS to transcode media on the fly

2022-12-13 Thread ralphy

The bandwidth limiting option converts everything to mp3 on the fly, but
you need to have lame installed on the system running LMS.

In the player settings audio section, you will see the message 'The LAME
encoder appears to be installed correctly on your system.' below the
Bitrate Limiting dropdown box indicating that LMS has found lame.

There are 32 and 64 bit intel builds of squeezelite 1.8.4-R2 available

Note that R2 is based on a very old version of squeezelite and therefore

You should be able to use one of the squeezelite builds at
https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/squeezelite/

The main difference between R2 and these builds that you need to add the
-W command line parameter to enable the wave file header parsing.

What version of Audio::Scan is LMS using?

You can find the details in Settings->Information of the LMS web

If it's less than 1.05 then that's likely the problem.

With the Local Player plugin installed it allows Squeezelite local
players to open the file directly from disk.

When Squeezelite is directly connected it will advertise 'loc' as a
format indicating local playback is possible, which the Local Player

The 7-8 second connection delay at boot you're seeing with the patch
might be caused by the fact that squeezelite has not started yet and/or
is trying to connect to lms which may not have completed starting up?

Whereas with your change, jivelite doesn't perform the server/player
discovery and connects to lms as soon as the service is running.

Are you using any settings in the depends block of their openrc init.d
scripts to control the startup order?

Yes, that's still true.

With bonding you can setup the system to always have the same MAC
address regardless of which network interface you're using.

You still need to have wpa_supplicant.conf setup with your wifi
credentials and I set the mac address on the bonding interface, because
it sometimes changes.

Code:

auto lo
  iface lo inet loopback

  auto bond0
  iface bond0 inet dhcp
  pre-up ip link set bond0 address ba:34:da:f6:ab:9c
  bond-slaves eth0 mlan0

  auto eth0
  iface eth0 inet manual

  auto mlan0
  iface mlan0 inet manual

The nice thing about this configuration is if your wifi connection fails
you can just plugin to the ethernet port and you can still connect
without a reboot.

It's great that the change allows jive to connect. The problem has been
an issue with both squeezeplay and jivelite for a long time.
I didn't test the change in an network isolated environment, so can't be
sure what's causing the delay.

Are you using bonding? I've noticed that sometimes it takes a longer
time to connect via ssh to my aopen with it enabled?

It's a small annoyance to have the ability to connect an ethernet cable
when the wifi link fails and the same mac address regardless of which
interface is active.

Here's a patch for you to try that replaces the hard coded udp broadcast

configured in the Remote Libraries settings.

Code:

diff --git a/share/jive/applets/SlimDiscovery/SlimDiscoveryApplet.lua

  -- init
  -- Initializes the applet
  function init(self, ...)
+ -- Get "poll" list settings from the "ChooseMusicSource" applet.
  + local cms = appletManager:loadApplet("ChooseMusicSource")

  - -- default poll list, udp broadcast
  -   self.poll = { [ "255.255.255.255" ] = "255.255.255.255" }
  + self.poll = cms["getSettings"](cms)["poll"]

  -- slim discovery socket
  self.socket = SocketUdp(jnt,

Try adding the IP address of the server via
Setting->Advanced->Networking->Remote Libraries which should work even
with jivelite not connected to a server.

You might need to restart jivelite after adding the remote library the
first time.

I think you will need a player already connected to the 10.0.10.10
server.

Then see if you can choose the player from jivelite to connect.

I've uploaded new 'windows builds of squeezelite v1.9.9r1401'
which includes a change that should fix the issue.

If you have changed the buffer sizes to workaround the issue using the
-b option, please removed it, or change the values back to the default
*-b 2048:3446* before testing.

There are very few reasons to change the default buffer sizes in
squeezelite and in many cases, larger buffers cause playback issues.

I'll investigate if it's possible to modify jivelite and squeezeplay to
check for a remote lms server having been entered in the configuration
and connect to it, if not, continue with auto discovery.

It might end up being a chicken and egg situation, since sometimes the
menus don't work at all if jive can't find lms, in which case modifying
a settings file would be needed.

Yes you can.

First stop any running local player instances of squeezelite.

Then download the latest win32 zip from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/squeezelite/windows/
and replace LocalPlayer/Bin/squeezelite-win.exe with the one from the
zip file.

There are no additional DDLs required for my builds, all the necessary
codec libraries are included in the exe.

The localplayer plugin uses a very old version of squeezelite, v1.6 I
think and it uses Visual Studio 2010 where all my builds are 2008 for
32bit and 2017 for 64bit.

So it's possible that MS has introduced a change to these Visual C
runtime dlls that is causing squeezelite to crash.

You can try overriding the version that squeezeplay reports by

Adding this line to the beginning of JiveMain.lua on the joggler.

Code:

_G["jive"].JIVE_VERSION = "8.2.0 r16800"

and restart squeezeplay.

As you mentioned in one of your PRs we should fork Andy's repo and apply
both of them. I still have a windows build environment that matches the
perl 5.14 used for windows and can build a new Audio::Scan module.

Since it's a core component of LMS perhaps we should maintain it within

I can't take credit for your work. You graciously created the community
firmware plugin.

The CF plugin has been updated to release 0.0.3 which includes your 'fix
for downloading the ip3k firmware'
(https://github.com/ralph-irving/plugin-CommunityFirmware/pull/1) with
the latest LMS 8.2.

Thanks for taking the time to research what's happening. Sorry, it's
taken so long for me to reply. There is a lot of information to digest
and I wanted to take the time to review it all.

One thought I had was if enabling tcp keep alive would prevent the
server closing the socket. I've sent you a PM with a test windows
squeezelite build that enables 30 second tcp keep alives on the
streaming socket. It's 32bit since my 64bit build laptop is waiting for
a replacement power adapter to arrive.

You should see this in the squeezelite debug log.

Code:

[13:52:01.701] set_keepalive:294 tcp keepalive enabled

and I've included a patch file in the zip with the code change.

There have been 'similiar discussions in the squeezelite thread'

The discussion goes on for many pages and I have not been able to
reproduce the problem, but several users have reported the issue.

Do you also get socket errors in the squeezelite logs?

Okay. I've add 'fab4-openvpn-2.4.10.zip'
which only has the openssl version of openvpn and the tun kernel
driver.

The openvpn client on the touch is not something I'm prepared to support
going forward, so hopefully this is enough to get you going.

Upload fab4-openvpn-2.4.10.zip and your openvpn config/cert files to the
/dev folder on the touch.

Code:

  # Extract the zip file.
  cd /dev
  unzip fab4-openvpn-2.4.10.zip

  # Move openvpn to /usr/sbin and make it executable
  mv /dev/openvpn /usr/sbin
  chmod 755 /usr/sbin/openvpn

  # Move the tunnel kernel module
  mv /dev/tun.ko /lib/modules/2.6.26.8-rt16-332-g5849bfa

  # Create /etc/openvpn for your config files.
  mkdir -p /etc/openvpn

  # Copy/move your openvpn config files from /dev to /etc/openvpn

Then in /etc/init.d/rcS.local add

Code:

  #!/bin/sh

  # Load the tunnel kernel module.
  insmod /lib/modules/2.6.26.8-rt16-332-g5849bfa/tun.ko

  # Start openvpn
  /usr/sbin/openvpn --config /etc/openvpn/touch.ovpn --daemon

  # Make rcS.local executable
  chmod 755 /etc/init.d/rcS.local

You can add any additional command line options you need as well.

Be careful as you can end up blocking ssh access when openvpn starts and
the only way to get it back is to factory reset the touch.

I'd suggest you don't automatically start openvpn in rcS.local until
you're confident that you have a working VPN connection and can still
ssh into the touch.

Also if you need openvpn to update /etc/resolv.conf then you'll also
need to upload/create a script that parses DHCP options from openvpn to
update resolv.conf
and add something like this to your openvpn config file.

Code:

up /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf
  down /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf

I've been investigating adding SSL support to the community firmware and
have built two versions of openvpn for the touch using mbedtls and
openssl.

Unfortunately, mbedtls doesn't support many ciphers or digests, nor TLS
1.3. Which is too bad as it's much lighter than openssl. I had already
built openvpn with it before I realized those limitations.

The touch can handle moderate traffic with openvpn-openssl without
taxing the CPU. Here's a few top snapshots playing 16bit, 44.1Khz ALAC
files over a remote DSL connection. I choose ALAC instead of FLAC since
jive uses more CPU decoding ALAC. I didn't try any higher resolution
files.

ALAC Track start.

Both openvpn versions and the kernel tun.ko driver are 'available on
sourceforge'
This is only for the Touch it won't run on the Radio or Controller.

You need to load the tun kernel driver using *insmod tun.ko* before
running openssl or the commands can be added to /etc/init.d/rcS.local if
you wanted openvpn to start at boot.

You need to load the tun kernel driver using *insmod tun.ko* before
running openssl or add the commands to /etc/init.d/rcS.local if you
wanted openvpn to start at boot.

I've also been testing a version of squeezelite with SSL on the Touch
and Radio to see if it's worth trying to add SSL support to the firmware
and both devices have no problems playing direct https streams.
Unfortunately, it's not straight forward to run squeezelite with
squeezeplay. You need to change enableAudio=1 in Playback.lua and
restart squeezeplay before squeezelite with run. Additionally on the
Radio you have to modify several lua files to stop the automatic
powering off the amp when the idle timer triggers. One neat feature
using squeezelite on the touch is you can run separate instances on the
RCA and SPDIF jacks for 2 zones and you can use Choose Player to control
either one.

Here are the 'perl modules'
and you might need 'these openssl library files'

You can stickoops...extract the perl modules tar file in
CPAN/arch/5.28 off the toplevel of where lms is installed.

Mine is in /opt/logitechmediaserver so the full path is
/opt/logitechmediaserver/CPAN/arch/5.28
I'm not sure where the release packages install lms, I only run lms from
git.

If SSLeay.so fails to load then you'll need to extract the openssl-perl
tar file in /usr/local/lib using sudo tar -xf openssl-perl-5.28.tar.gz
but try starting lms without extract it first.

The default maximum sample rate in portaudio for squeezeplay is 384k so
my builds won't playback anything higher.

The only references to 768k I can think of are in the patch I apply to
portaudio for squeezelite mac and windows only. It allows the playback
of DSD512 via dop on those two platforms which I've had several requests

1.1x seconds is just squeaking by the minimum required. Perhaps it's
time to increase DECODE_AUDIO_BUFFER_SIZE to allow for a few more
seconds of 384k?

Let's see what the results are with the new 7.8.0r1291 builds which
include your PR#9. Thank you for submitting the fix.

Thanks. Let's see what your investigations turn up before making any
changes.

I only have test files for those crazy high sample rates, and the last
time I tried an alsa squeezeplay at 384 it played okay.

What value worked for DECODE_AUDIO_BUFFER_SIZE on MacOS?

For ALSA, I suspect what 'Triode did to handle 192Khz in EDO'
just needs to be updated to support 384Khz rates.

The squeezeplay portaudio driver uses the smae value of
DECODE_AUDIO_BUFFER_SIZE but doesn't include a similiar handler for high
samplerates like the ALSA driver.

Thanks for confirming it works with both builds. I was going to suggest
that you install the extension, but it's really there for an upcoming
pcp release, not 6.x.

I'm still testing philippe44 PR109 changes but should have a new release

I've updated the squeezelite build. Stop squeezelite first and you

Can you give this build a try for tidal with stream poxy turned off?

ssh to pcp and run the commands in bold

Code:

$ *ce*

  $ *wget -O squeezelite-custom
http://ralph-irving.users.sourceforge.net/pico/squeezelite-v1.9.7-1278-PR109*

  $ *chmod 755 squeezelite-custom*

Then in the web admin gui squeezelite settings tab select custom
squeezelite at the bottom of the page and restart squeezelite.

Version should be reported as v1.9.7-1278-PR109-pCP

Yes the patches are needed, especially the one to restore short options
as LMS still uses them in convert.conf.
You need to either install the patch package, if there is one from
Synology. If not, you can build 'patch from source'
(ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/patch).
Alternately, have you tried running the 'arm sox binary from LMS'
It has dsd support.

As bpa mentioned check the permissions on both the lame and shineenc
files, also confirm that /bin/bash exists on the NAS. If not, change
/bin/bash to /bin/sh at the top of the lame script.

I use shineenc/lame script with LMS on an arm based debian system, so I
can confirm is works.

lame on an arm cpu usually pegs the cpu at 100% usage, if you find the
same, then as an alternative you could try 'shineenc'

You should be able to extract the tar file into the same folder as your
sox binary and lms should find it, you might need to restart lms. The
tarball includes the shineenc program and a lame script which just
converts the command line options from lms from lame format to shineenc.

I think the DS212+ uses an arm cpu.

You could try downloading the 'lms arm sox binary'
which has opus support and try running it on the NAS.

If it works, you should be able to replace
/volume2/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Bin/sox with the updated one, keeping a
copy of the original file first.

You may also need to change the permissions to match that of the current
sox program. Quite often the execute permissions are dropped from
downloaded files.

ralphy wrote:

I have finally managed to successfully build and test the Net-SSLeay
1.88 module with OpenSSL 1.1.1h and zlib support.

To help troubleshooting during development I modified SystemInfo.pm to
print the version info for the modules I've updated.

Code:

Logitech Media Server Version: 8.0.0 - TRUNK @ UNKNOWN
  Hostname: T430
  Server IP Address: 192.168.1.27
  Server HTTP Port Number: 9000
  Operating system: Windows 10 - EN - cp1252
  Platform Architecture: 8664
  Perl Version: 5.14.2 - MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
  Audio::Scan: 1.02
  Mozilla::CA: 20200520
  Net::SSLeay: 1.88 - OpenSSL 1.1.1h 22 Sep 2020
  IO::Socket::SSL: 2.068
  Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0)
  Total Players Recognized: 2

The tipping point was the 'build log file for the Net-SSLeay 1.74
update'
provided by ActiveState (AS) back in 2016. From the log I was able to
determine that AS used Visual Studio 6.0 and likely Platform SDK
(February 2003), 'the last version to support VS6'
when building AS Perl 5.14.

To get OpenSSL 1.1.1h to build with VS6 required changing all occurances
of long long datatypes to __int64 and all LL format specifiers to i64.
Attempts to build openssl with a newer MS compiler to avoid these
changes have failed, so far, with link errors when creating SSLEAY.DLL
for the Net-SSLeay module.

I have created a perl package manager repository for windows with
Net-SSLeay 1.88, IO-Socket-SSL 2.068 and Mozilla-CA SSL certificates
from May 2020.

Code:

http://ralph.irving.sdf.org/ppm4/MSWin32-x86/5.14/1400/

One issue I ran into updating Net-SSLeay was that if I ran LMS on the
system before attempting to install the updated module, SSLeay.DLL file
was locked and could not be updated. I had to disable LMS from starting
at boot, reboot windows, then install Net-SSLeay 1.88. I noticed 'bpa
mentioned possible issues with IO-Socket-SSL 2.068 and OpenSSL 1.1.1e'
Perhaps the issue(s) have been fixed with later versions as I've been
running Net-SSLeay-1.88, OpenSSL 1.1.1h with IO-Socket-SSL 2.068 with
LMS on Linux x86 for the last week without a problem.

@Michael, I'd like to suggest that you install all three modules from
the repo on the build system, replacing the IO-Socket-SSL and Mozilla-CA
zips we exchanged earlier. I created the PPM packages from the same
folder structure that I sent you, then we will all be using the same
release files going forward. The older package and ppd files from AS
are on the website as well in case we need to rollback. I didn't
include them in the repo index as I found it confusing for anyone not
familiar with the Perl Package Manager.

I've only been using the new perl modules for a day now on win10 so it
really needs more testers. Anyone running LMS from git on windows can
add the repo url in PPM and install the updated modules. To rollback
download the .tar.gz and .ppd files and from a command prompt with perl
in the PATH run *ppm install oldpackage.ppd*

I would expect that if this change was responsible, there would have
been more reports of similiar behaviour as it's been 2 weeks since the
modules were upgraded.

The IO Socket SSL module v2.0.68 and the Mozilla-CA SSL certificates
from 20200520 are now included for Windows build 1600144351 forward.

This change is not logged in git it was an activate perl sdk module
update.

Yes that's correct. I can build the latest ssl and I know it works
because I use it for squeezelite and Net::SSLeay builds without issue
but the tests fail as I've mentioned and the same happens if you install
it anyway and try to run LMS.

I'll spend some time in the coming days to see if I can figure out the
prototype mismatch problem. I could try to reach out to andyg as well,
if I still get no joy.

I did a quick test to try and build openssl using the AS perl supplied
gcc and it's a no go with gcc.

Code:

C:\Perl\cpan\build\openssl-1.1.1g>perl Configure Cygwin-x86 no-shared zlib
no-zlib-dynamic threads
  Configuring OpenSSL version 1.1.1g (0x1010107fL) for Cygwin-x86
  Using os-specific seed configuration
  Set up gcc environment - 3.4.5 (mingw-vista special r3)

  **
This perl implementation doesn't produce Unix like paths (with forward slash
directory separators). Please use an implementation that matches your
  building platform.

This Perl version: 5.14.2 for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
  **

I've uploaded 2 zip files with the source and compiled binary files for
the modules, so I didn't miss anything as I just did an nmake install of
the modules directly into the AS perl site location on the VM. I think
you only need what's in the lib and blib folders.

I'd suggest we just add the modules to the windows nightly builds as
it's pretty simple to revert the changes in git and spin another build
if things go wrong.

So far every attempt to build IO::Socket::SSL v2.068 against an OpenSSL
1.0.2u and 1.1.1g win32 I've built using visual studio 2010sp1 results
in prototype mismatch errors for the randomize calls.

Code:

Prototype mismatch: sub Net::SSLeay::randomize (;$$$) vs none at (eval 13)
line 1.

and some of the tests crash perl! I plan to try building openssl using
the activestate gcc compiler so see if that's the issue.
I'm not sure what compiler activestate used to build the 5.14.2 perl.
When I run perl -V in a command prompt it lists the gcc compiler and
when I run the same from a Visual Studio 2010 command prompt it lists
the VS 16.x compiler.

However, I have been able to build IO::Socket::SSL v2.068 against the
last updated Net:SSLeay v1.74 provided from activestate.

Code:

01loadmodule.t .. 1/3 # openssl version compiled=0x1000207f
linked=0x1000207f -- OpenSSL 1.0.2g  1 Mar 2016
  # Net::SSLeay version=1.74

Unfortunately, the openssl version used by activestate doesn't include
TLSv1.3 support.

Code:

t/protocol_version.t .. 1/? # looks like OpenSSL was compiled
without TLSv1_3 support
Use of uninitialized value $cmd in pattern match (m//) at
t/protocol_version.t line 119.
Use of uninitialized value $cmd in pattern match (m//) at
t/protocol_version.t line 121.

The IO::Socket::SSL v2.068 with the latest Mozilla-CA 20200520 root
certificate pem perl module fixes the extension downloader error I've
been getting.

Code:

[20-09-18 10:11:23.0817] Slim::Networking::Repositories::__ANON__ (148)
Failed to fetch https://repos.squeezecommunity.org/extensions.xml: Connect

I should have upgraded this vm to lms 8 before I started but didn't want
to part way through testing.

Code:

Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.4 - r20789.4b97c3eb0 @ 1600401600
  Hostname: win7x64vm
  Server IP Address: 192.168.1.24

  IO::Socket::SSL: 2.068

Should we at least update Mozilla-CA and IO::Socket::SSL for now?

Active State have also removed access to their perl package manager
repositories..at least the older ones like
http://ppm4.activestate.com/MSWin32-x86/5.14/ is gone. Which means you
can no longer update any modules from the base active state perl
install. I haven't been able to find a mirror so far. Found out the
hard way while investigating building newer windows ssl perl modules.
Thank goodness, I took a snapshot of the vm before mucking about with

Is it worth investigating whether a current IO::Socket::SSL with
dependencies could be built and we just continue to use the 5.14.2
activestate?

I still have the VM I used to build the Audio:Scan 1.02 module for
windows and could try to build a newer IO::Socket::SSL unless you have
already decided to abandon activestate.

On the Raspberry PI OS system that DSD Player does NOT work, I suspect
we likely need to build a dsdplay aarch64 binary (armv8). What does the

Set os.paths logging to debug and check the save log settings then
restart LMS with the dsdplayer plugin enable.

Navigate to the DSD Player setting and in the server.log you'll see
where the dsdplayer plugin searches for dsdplay.

I'm seeing the same issue as you with scanner.exe on windows 7.

The reference to Line 75 is from the original lib/audio/Scan.pm

Code:

  my $ret = $class->_scan( $suffix, $fh, $path, $filter, $md5_size || 0,

I think we may need to add 1.02 to the foreach version list at the top
of that file.

Hopefully, Michael will be able to look try adding the 1.02 check and

I think the *.pm files are builtin to the exe files for windows. I've

That build of audio scan I was talking about was never released and the
issue was flac and alac not mp3.

The audio scan 1.02 module in the latest lms 8 build produced the same
scan results and the previous 0.95 in my tests. Scan times were about
the same with both versions.

What was the version of audio scan listed on the server settings status
information tab? If it's blank then Scan.pm could be missing from the
windows installer package.

All my testing was done with a git checkout of LMS.

Michael, what compiler and version were you using to build audio scan?

I have v1.02 built with the activestate perl 5.14.2 provided mingw32
compiler but ATM flac and alac files are scanned but not added to the
database.

I see 2 issues.
You are missing the type field with the protocol in your table. See
Jeff07971 example. But you must use the correct protocol for your
remote.
and there is NO slash in the KEY_PAUSE/PLAY keysym it should be
KEY_PLAYPAUSE

That should be fine. I use several IR remotes from long dead
electronics.

You need to map the scancodes produced from each key on the remote and
assigned the key symbol for the jivelite action to the scancode value.
There's a link near the bottom of post #1 to a spreadsheet of all the
key symbols that jivelite recognizes and the operation they execute in
the interface.

If you read the tutorial I linked to earlier it should help to clarify
the process.

You won't be able to access all areas of the controller functionality
from the remote without the menu key.

You could map KEY_VOLUMEDOWN and KEY_VOLUMEUP instead of the pause and
menu funtions. If those don't work then use KEY_MINUS (Volume Down) and
KEY_EQUAL (Volume Up)

I agree. But it does appear from the 'github issue'
(https://github.com/ralph-irving/faad2/issues/4) that there still is a
problem with certain mp4 iplayer files.

Perhaps @rickwookie would try replacing the faad binary from my builds

Yes, that would be great!

No reason that I can remember.

Testing all the binaries on the various platforms is very time consuming
and usually ends up with complaints that the newer linux binaries end up
not running on older linux based systems.

There are 'newer faad binaries available'
which include the CVE updates.

Not all of these are built from the latest source, but all commits after
the CVE change are cosmetic or specific platform build script updates.

I'm not aware of a specific fix for this issue, but there where several

Did you also remove Soundflower (2ch) line? If not, that's likely why
sl won't start now. Without these two lines squeezelite will use the
device you have selected for output.

But if you change the default device in the Volume chooser you'll need
to restart SL before the newly selected device will have sound from SL.

Note that squeezelite does not recognize changes to the Output device
you choose in MacOS, it sends output to the current default device when
it starts, if the -o option is omitted, otherwise sound will always be
sent to the device listed in the plist -o option.

# Stop squeezelite
sudo launchctl unload -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/squeezelite.plist

# Start squeezelite
sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/squeezelite.plist

So, if you remove the 2 lines for -o in the plist, squeezelite will
start using the current default output device selected in the os. If
you change it, you need to restart squeezelite.

-N and the filename is preferred.
Store player name in filename to allow server defined name changes to be
shared between servers (not supported with -n)

Use :0 or 100:0

If you use 100:0 you are less likely to have pops or dropouts in the
audio.

If squeezelite doesn't start on boot take a look at the log file
/var/log/squeezelite.log

Most likely cause is the options defined in the plist are incorrect.

You have inserted options in the middle of others.

-o should be on the line before soundflower
remove the first -a and append :0 to the 100 after the 2nd -a line.

Each line in the section can be thought of as a space on the command
line.

You need to tell squeezelite to open the core audio device in pro mode
to disable os resampling.

Add -a :0 to the plist

-a

-a : Specify Portaudio params to open output device, l =

If you also add -C 10 squeezelite will release the audio device after

To fix this you need to apply the attached patch to a current portaudio
source tree and add -DAUDIO_COMPONENT_FIX=1 to CFLAGS during auto
configure.

Code:

CFLAGS="-O3 -isysroot /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.7.sdk -arch x86_64
-DAUDIO_COMPONENT_FIX=1" \
  CPPFLAGS="${CFLAGS}" \
  CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}" \
  LDFLAGS="-Wl,-syslibroot,/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.7.sdk -arch x86_64
-mmacosx-version-min=10.7" \
  ./configure --disable-mac-universal --disable-cxx

Then rebuild squeezelite r2 against the new portaudio library.

I can host C3PO in the edo repository until you get your domain sorted.
Can you provide me with an official zip and repository.xml file if you
have them? Otherwise I can use the file that PasTim kindly provided to
make it.
