Hello everyone. The Spotify App was the last reason from me to have MySqueezebox.com connected to LMS. Now that Spotty runs on LMS, I would like to cut the connection of MySqueezebox to my LMS. I recall that there was an (start)option for LMS to do that - but I forgot the details. Also, that was on an older LMS version. Can anyone point me to where / how that is being done on 7.9.1? [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] library scan 'stops unexpectedly'
Hi All;
I have this error since a while - now I would like to find the root
cause and fix it:
While scanning my music library, the scan aborts unexpectedly.
It does that regardless, if I do a DB deletion and complete new scan or
if I scan only added / new files.
It usually stops during 'DB optimization (1of2)':

Sometimes it stops even already during saving coverart.
I am using LMS7.9.1 on an Intel Atom based Linux system ('Joggler'), but
the behavior started already with 7.8 (I think).
In earlier versions it ran w/o error.
I am using very few plugins.
Can anyone point me to what might be wrong?

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Strange Problem - can't find my Players through the (old) iOS Logitech App anymore
Hi; I have a strange problem: Suddenly, I can not reach / find any of my players through the old iOS Logitech App. Strangly, this only happens w/ this old App and using my Atom based LMS (*) (When I use iPeng or other Apps on Android the Players show up) Even stranger: When I fire up a different LMS on the same network running on a rpi zero (**), the players are seen via the iOS App! I rebootet everything a couple of times, updated LMS, reinstalled the iOS App, I have no firewall changed, Can anyone lead me to what to check / what the problem might be? -> I am currently completely clueless. Also, It used to work before. I really would like to get this running again, as I like to have these old iPhones as remotes around in the house. (I have iPeng, but the old Logitch App was more responsive on these old phones. Thanks guys! After a lot of scrutiny (I even ran the sever with a year old harddrive backup and updated ubuntu and LMS to the current status), the strange solution to my problem was: I needed to switch the "CSRF-Schutzstufe" in the LMS security settings from 'medium' to 'off'- and the players showed up again in the App! Very strange I have no clue about this cross site stuff (CSRF) and I am pretty sure I never touched those settings before or at least not for ages. Anyway. It's all running again - and I am happy! I wanted to install the shairtunes plugin,and (I think) thats when the mess started: It didnt load properly (when I click the settings link, it does not find the respective html page). Also, it kept asking for a restart. - endlessly. So, I uninstalled shairtunes, but the restart request remained. Next, I uninstalled the Airtunes Plugin, as I thought I might have some bad Interactions. But the problem remains. Then, I uninstalled the material skin, since in between ?I had this issue seen with material skin. But the problem remains. Not a critical issue, but I thought I post it FYI:
The notification of updates beeing available for plugins seems to be
gone since a recent update of LMS (At least for me).
I noticed that 1st when material skin stated all plugins are up2date,
although I saw an update being available (for shairtunes at that time).
Today, the same thing for AirPlayBridge: Update available, material skin
says all up2date.
Then I checked the default skin, where the notification is usually in
the main screen at the bottom ("i: "):
No notification there.

I use the podcast plugin w/o issues for many years on my home system. Now, I am using my "mobile system" - which is raspberry pi Zero based and LMS freezes / becomes unresponsive when I select a Podcast from the following (very long) feed: https://www1.wdr.de/mediathek/audio/hoerspiel-speicher/wdr_hoerspielspeicher150.podcast The Podcast never starts playing; LMS does not react anymore. Only way to recover is to restart LMS I checked "top" via ssh to see, if the pi zero is busy with anything, but no process is using more than 2-3%. Maybe something gets mixed up due to the massive length of this podcast feed? 2) I am currently in Italy - the podcast is from germany - could there be some geoblocking problems? I have a station in my presets ("Radio/Eigene Voreinstellungen"), which
no longer streams and I therefor would like to delete it.
Here is the odd thing:
This station is only listed within LMS - not when I login to tunein
itself!?
But as soon as I give LMS my tunein username, it lists this station.
(Even for a from scratch LMS instalöation)
-> How do I delete Radio (TuneIn) presets within LMS?
-> Any other idea how to delete this preset (which does not show up when
I log in to the TuneIn Website)

The ones I am having problems with are the ones in the radio submenue - and these are somehow populated as soon as you enter your tunein credentials into LMS. Hi Michael; I have the following 'problem': When I look at i.e. a podcast list, each podcast has its own unique icon / image. But when I select one podcast from the list and go to the now playing screen (i.e. material skin, but also std skin), it briefly shows the unique image, but flips back to the std. Podcast image after 1 second or so. You can try to see what I mean by including i.e. this Podcast into your podcast list and looking at the list (with the unique icons) and then select and play one (and then only see the std icon of that podcast): https://podcast.wdr.de/radio/hoerspiel.xml Maybe related: When I select i.e. Deutschlandfunk Kultur 101.3 (Kultur) from the Radio List, I also get only the std. icon of that station, whereas I am pretty sure that in earlier builds of LMS, the icon updated to the currently playing song releated image (I still get the song info, just not the corresponding image) As stated, I am pretty sure that this behavior changed during evolvement of LMS. For "Musik-Info-Anzeige", scrolling works for my only, if I populate
only the leftmost entry ("Display-Element formatieren: Mitte links") for
"Eine Zeile (Doppelte Höhe)" in "Musik-Info-Anzeige" and leave the
middle and the right one empty.
BTW: I never got the full screen Spektum (or any other animation like
analog / digital VU meter) to work... but I will not use these anyway.

Therefor I thought I ask you: Could you possibly add a 'current title' display option in LMS, which does not show the musical note in the end of the line? (i.e. in LMS 8?) The OLED displays are rather small, but in my case sufficient, when using 1 line and the 'full' font. Bottomline: When I try to update (from LMS 7.9.2 or also 7.9.3), it always tells me that there is no newer version number then the one I use (i.e. 1579195498) available. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS not reacting on screensaver delay (anymore)?
I noticed that my system does not react on the delay setting of the screensaver anymore: I use analog VU as screensaver. When playing, my devices used to 1st show the Tilte (Artist) and then after a delay (x seconds as set in 'Grundeinstellungen'), the screensaver (i.e. analog VU) were kicking in. Initially I thought its only SqueezeAmp doing this, but I double checked now and its also my other devices (SB3's). So, its either my setup, of LMS. Currently, I am using LMS 8.0, but I think this was also the case with LMS 7.9 Anybody else having this issue? @mherger: Do you have some troubleshooting advice? Any logging that would be helpful? In case somebody else runs into this problem: I found the issue - it was an interaction with the plug-in 'custom clock helper': I had it set up a long time ago with a webpage as background (http://static.die.net/moon/480.jpg) That site changed to https recently and since then was not accessible anymore (also not using https://static... https is probably not supported by the Plaug-In) Anyway. Removing this webpage as a background fixed my screensaver delay. Strange interactions, though. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] How to get older plugins (i.e. for LMS 7.9) to install on LMS 8?
I am migrating my LMS Server from my trusty old Atom based Joggler to a Raspi4 (boy what a speed improvment!) and while doing that I upgrade also to LMS 8. However, 2 plugins I can not install teh std. way, as they don't show up in LMS 8 (probably in the repository it says max Version = 7.9) -> Is there anyway to install these - without downgrade to 7.9 1st and then upgrade again to 8? I tried to copy the plugins from my old system from this location: /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins and the respective pref fiels from here: /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/plugin But if I do that the system thinks there is a newer version available and constantly asks for update & reboot. Is there anyway to fix that? Thanks for your help. P.S. I you experience some sluggishness in your LMS setup, I can really recommend an upgrade. (Although LMS on my old system only used a few % CPU while playing music, it must have some really high peak CPU use when searching in Spotty or in Podcast Lists. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS Feature request(?) - invert playlist: top to bottom -> bottom to top
Sometimes, pieces of a podcast series are listed in a sequence so that when you move them to the playlist, the last episode would play 1st and the 1st episode last. It would be great, if there would be a festure to invert a playlist. Could that be added as a feature to LMS, Michael? @mherger , @cpd73 and @MichaelPr - please help! I did not get an answer on aboves earlier question. So I try it again, rewording it - maybe I did not put the problem well: Problem: Sometimes Podcast Episodes are not sorted in a sequential way, but more random. This makes some podcasts really useless. Example: When you search for example in the ARD Audiothek Plugin for "Jules Verne: Reise von der Erde zum Mond" You get the following Sqequence of this Audiobook: 36228 Either I am overlooking something, but I don't see a way to sort this correctly in LMS (Material) I *think* this is not only a ARD Audiothek or Material Skin Problem, that is why I post it here and address all 3 of you.
