checked the BIOS
and confirmed it is using 330 as the address for the mpu port.

audio frame rate, ardour doesn't set it - its up to JACK.
if you mean the SMPTE frame rate, its in the session state file. there
is no way to set the value from the GUI at this time.

Even stranger then .. when I did my last CVS update.. the mtpav driver
was one that did update... that is why I rechecked behaviour.. however I
did not use the panic button last time .. so maybe I am at fault

Still no good, well partially, jack can see alsa now.. but I'm still
having problems with building alsa-lib directories.. (see output at
