Hello list,
Is there an easy way to configure sequential approvers for a change within ITSM
7.6.03 Change Management?
Example: Manager A approves -- Manager B approves -- Manager X approves --
Change can go forward.
I am currently overwhelmed by all the little triggers, buttons and options the
Hi All,
I would really like to know whether we have a tool or way of getting to know
all forms (tables) and the number of records present in those forms (tables)
I am aware of the backend (oracle) queries which will do, but since the
number of forms are too may hence wanted to know if i it can
Hi Saurabh,
ARUtilities will allow you to search for all forms that contain data. Then
you can Right-Click and choose Count. This is just one of the tools
included with ARUtilities.

Thanks for your reply.
Wanted a way where I could get record count for all the forms at one go.
This is for reporting purposes.

Thomas,
Without knowing what step in the process you are, I'll assume you've defined a
flow and set up the proper Approval Process Config records.
For what you're asking, you would do this in the Approval Mappings form. You
can get to this via the AppAdmin Console Custom tab Change Management.
Hello Thomas,
The requirement you have is basically known as Level based approval system.
Steps:
1. Go to Application Admin Console Custom Configuration Change
Management Approval Approval Mappings
2. Open the form in new mode
3. Select the Approval Indicator* = Change
4. Phase Name = Say

Kunal and Tauf,
Thank you for your input. I check this one out to see if it fits the process
flow I got, but it looks promising ☺. I assume I can also apply this to
different groups within the system, not just for individuals.
A bit besides that: Depending on the complexity this could reach,
If you just need different mappings and are OK with the out of box flow,
then it's pretty simple because you just have to add/modify approval
mappings for groups and individuals. However, the change approval process
as a whole is a sum of many different parts which means that configuring

One of the sample scripts of Meta-Update does just that :) It’s about 3 lines,
does an SQL query on arschema and picks up a select count(*) for each
non-dialog join table.

Thanks Rod for explanation. Let me check if my understanding is right.

All,
I have upgraded our Test environment from Remedy 7.6.04 SP4 to Remedy 8.1.01.
The components upgraded were ARS, Atrium Core, ITSM and SLM. The ITSM upgrade
completed with warnings. There were 1221 invalid database objects had to be
cleaned up post-upgrade. We are using Oracle 11.2.04 for

Hi,
The best option for you is to do a full FTS reindexation...
The procedure is the following:
1. 1. Stop FTS on all nodes of your Server Group
Thanks,
Just another quick question:
ITSM Administration guide states that I can only have one phase active for a
company.
So if I want to create separate approval processes for one company, but e.g.
different topics, can I then start naming my phases “Topic 1 Review” and “Topic
2 Review” to
Sandra,
Yes. This is done directly in the DB.

I did check this by the way - it was set to only update changed CI's.
I'm waiting for the DBA's to do some work but we managed to get the query that
was bogging stuff down from 2+ minutes down to 40 milliseconds. We don't have
much data in our dev system and that's based off of manual queries,
Chris:
Make sure you use SLM 8.1.01 SP1 not SLM 8.1 GA when upgrading. SLM 8.1 GA
deletes a bunch of ITSM objects.
