Something I have noticed about people that come and go, is they expect instant gratification, whether that involves training up almost instantly, or doing some advanced things right away. To that, I say this: Flux has a feel to it, and a certain timing, which runs on a more relaxed pace. You cannot just join, do everything, and be done with it in a few hours or even a few days. Some things happen over quite a period of time. It takes time to be familiar with the flow of things, in order to appreciate things like the conjunctions of the two moons, or meteor falls, or the rise and fall of the stock market, or the changing prime interest rate which can affect many things. Beyond this are even longer term things, the growing of the food, the height of the trees for harvesting in the forests, the accumulation of wealth.This is not to say that there are not things to do. In fact, some have told me there are almost too many things to do, and distraction can be an 
 issue, as they look for one thing, and are teased by something else to go get, and then something else, and can forget what they set out to look for.To that I say, keep your eye on the immediate goal, but be aware there is always things to do, places to see, bots to learn things from and converse with, and something else to go onto next.

survver may be running, but I cant get on. it just says connecting and then it hangs in the air for better way of putting it. I can excape out and do everything with no problem but cant connect. this happened when I updated title. gets quite nerve racking. I probably shouldnt have updated this. then it might work and key word is might. well no not quite cause it kept saying I needed latest version. thats probably ware I should have left it alone cause I cant play it at all now.

Clarification on mines: You do not need to jump away immediately on setting them. The mine will be placed at the next square of whatever direction youre facing, so that means that if you then step once in that direction, you will get hit. So you can turn left, place a mine, then turn right and continue to proceed normally, or vice versa if you place the mine to your right. However, moving away is recommended if you hear an enemy approaching the mine, as if you are one square away when it blows, you will also take damage. One thing I have done on levels is to stand close to the door and allow my other characters to proceed into the area. As the police start to enter, I will drop a mine and move away, thus killing the police before they can reach my two accomplices. This buys a little extra time for them on missions before were overwhelmed with police, and it also keeps them from immediately being distracted from picking up thing
 s by incoming police.

Alright, here are my thoughts on this. As for jaws, Im running 15, so maybe what I have to say regarding jaws could be considered invalid.The reasons I like NVDA better than jaws are:1. NVDA is light weight and portable. I can just grab a copy, load it to a USB drive, and pretty much run it on any computer with Windows I want to.2. To obtain a fully functional copy of it, and that also means no demo restrictions, takes a maximum of four or five minutes, depending on how your computer feels like acting that day.3. It hardly takes up any memory at all. It runs quickly, at least on my machines. Even though I dont like ESpeak much, there are plenty off equally portable, quick speech synthesizers out there for NVDA.4. NVDA has only been developed for nine years, and useable for seven. But despite this, NV Access has implemented a lot, of features. And with three or four updates per year, users of it are always getting new features 
 and bug fixes.5. The mouse navigation, or I think its called that anyway. Its whatever youre moving with NVDA+shift+arrow key on a laptop. That, in conjunction with left clicking, right clicking, and focusing the mouse has helped me a lot when encountering programs that were not accessible with the regular keyboard.6. I find NVDA to work better when I code. Even though Jaws anounces line numbers, its still a pain because it will sometimes skip the text of a line or speak a graphic after it.7. When navigating folders, or browsing for files, or going through a list, I might here something like:Graphic 680 graphic 632 DocumentsWhereas with NVDA, I never have this issue.8. I find that when opening word Pad on my computer with Jaws, Jaws crashes sometimes, and I have to restart it. This can be very, annoying.9. It is possible to play games with NVDA without turning it off. This is not possible with JAWS.I
 ssues I have with NVDA but not with jaws.1. Sometimes, even if Im just accessing a menu, NVDA will freeze for a second, and then go into this mode where I have to restart it because it speaks whatever text you tell it to, and you cannot stop it with the control key. Furthermore, NVDA key does not work. The good thing with this, however, is that when I press windows D and hit nvda to get to the shortcut, I can open the shortcut and NVDA restarts itself.2. Jaws opens in a window. So if there happens to be an issue, you are usually able to scroll over to the window and close it, no matter if the Jaws key is working or not.3. I find that Jaws doesnt have the same issue where it totally freezes up like NVDA does. Those are just my comparisons, how both affect my life, since I use each on basically a day to day basis. I have to agree with EG on that post of whats said that can discourage others.  but as I actually spoke with one dev I would say same to u, tune out the negativness and focus on the positives. I could go on and on about how I feel of a lot of titles but that would be neither hear or there but to dis or put down a title because it doesnt meet your standards and to do it so as it makes others feel as if they got this title that something is wrong with them, is simply uncalled for. but again, thats neither hear or there.  by the way, im still lookin for the answer to qn if anyone knows. how do u make the players talk? thanks.

Hi thereI installed this and it works very good. But I like more the new versions of eloquence.Brad, if you get Chinese speaking, or like me, who got Spanish talking, just go in the voice settings menu after youve selected Microsoft sappy 4 synthesizer and in the Variant section press the home key, and you will hear the American English. Then you can move through the voices and different variants.Hope it helps.

The first targeting mission is actually imho harder than the second. what you need to do is stay in place and then turn around to face the ships. As I remember the first one comes from in front of you so you can pretty much face north, but the second one is coming in at an angle to your position so you need to turn right around to get it. Raul gillegos in his walkthru could do them all with the depth gun, though I never got that successful myself. I do remember though that once I got the trick of killing the second and third the last was easy.

Hi.I think, if the developers do read this, that there should be an option to make every item you get either go to your bass or go to your inventory, so that there could be collectors, who collect stuff and thats it, and all that stuff goes to the main boss, e.g. you, and you could choose what you wanted your gang members to be; collectors, fighters, money horders, and so on.

Hello.Ive listened to the trailler and it was very great! Specially the Boxing mini game. Im looking forward to play it.However, in the latest version of Beet Star that I have played, There was a game mode called Beet Star Memory. In that game mode, even if you lose, your beet coins doesnt remove and you can obtain too many beet coins in a very easy way, just by starting that game mode and playing for 3 or 4 sequence and lose a game and start over. it makes buying safe guards and new sound packs very easy. please remove it from beet star pro or make getting beet coins in that game mode disable.

Sounds very cool indeed, the gogogogogooal! in the football game made me laugh! . I love the way beatstar is now sort of turning into its own arcade with its own prizes in terms of soundpacks, I also think getting safeguards another way would be good sinse I never personally want to spend on them sinse I always want to save my coins for unlocking new packs. Btw, Beatstar is already listed as donation on the database so people know they can donate if they wish, indeed I might well do s again myself if the next version of beatstar is to have all these goodies.Im actually considering splitting the donation license type classification to distinguish games like Parkboss, Angel gift and beatstar where the developer accepts donations to help with future work, and games like a lot of the mmorpg type games where the donations are supposed to buy an i
 n game item of some sort, though Ive not really got a good snappy title for the second sort sinse freemium is a bit of a loaded term (as so many freemium games are pretty devicive, but certainly not all games that sell in game bennifits are like that). Maybe distinguishing that license type as gamestore?Either way, Beatstar pro sounds fantastic, indeed when i saw the title I did wonder if this would be a paid version of Beatstar which wouldnt really be unreasonable.

Hi.It is a really bad bug. Only happens to a few players.It is very disruptive.Way toward the sound of the item, and not get caught. And sometimes picked up items that do not make a sound.I have to give several turns to get take the item on the map. Its like he was out of the sound.This happened before when the way loot points was released.But he had settled. Now the bug again. Its a shame ... Hello everyone! Yes, I did record the call, but each recording was almost 2 gigs, so it took me a while to convert it into something reasonable. I have 2 versions. An ogg version which is like 363 mb in 7z format which has the full quality, or mp3, which is like half the size, but doesnt have a very good quality, in a zip file. I couldnt really give a better mp3 because then it would have been huge. Anyway, for the links. Clarification on mines: You do not need to jump away immediately on setting them. The mine will be placed at the next square of whatever direction youre facing, so that means that if you then step once in that direction, you will get hit. So you can turn left, place a mine, then turn right and continue to proceed normally, or vice versa if you place the mine to your right. However, moving away is recommended if you hear an enemy approaching the mine, as if you are one square away when it blows, you will also take damage. One thing I have done on levels is to stand close to the door and allow my other characters to proceed into the area. As the police start to enter, I will drop a mine and move away, thus killing the police before they can reach my two accomplices. Then I will move back close to the door and repeat this. I usually can do it three or four times before the numbers of police are too large to handle. This buys
  a little extra time for them on missions before were overwhelmed with police, and it also keeps them from immediately being distracted from picking up things by incoming police.

That might be an option, but I expect that learning how to navigate in windows 7/8.1 takes less time than setting up a vm for someone who probably hasnt done that before.And plus, vms tend to have high audio latency, I tried gaming on one but it wasnt any good.

hello. most of you people using an IOS device probably know storm 8 and know that their games are, to say the least, boaring grinders. hi.It works... Kind of. Are you having trouble with the symth, when you load it? sometimes it says cannot load symthersizer. Or it loads but starts spelling out words instead of sspeeking normaly. And for some reason its in chinese and not english. Ive tried looking in the voices dialog but when I press up and down arrows, it either goes quiet or gets to the end of the chinese voices and then stops working when I press down arrow, what i mean is I dont hear anything.

Well as I remember all the mission names and the names for the equipment were all fairly generic things anyway, like rescue a prince from goblins or a vampire to prowl for victims, ditto with armor like a wooden stick or a vampires rat transformation power. I really dont see any legal issues with anything so broad, at least if there were, well storm8 themselves would be in trouble with lots of people, heck if saving a prince from goblins is copywrite then the estate of the brothers grim could likely sue for enough to rule the entire world . So, if you want to go and make tactical battle campaigns with similar names and equipment, well no problem with me. To be honest the fact that people are worried about this sort of thing really strikes me the hole copywrite thing has gone nuts! No, you couldnt create a game called vampires 
 live, but that as far as something like Storm8 goes is pretty much that, heck even if you created a nearly identical game and ccalled it dracula live or something similar there would still be an almighty legal rangle.

Nope, never had that bug happen, and I dont think its related to the smugglers 5 versions. what I believe has happened is your screen resolution has got turned up. This isnt usually an issue in audiogames, but sinse in s5 the text has to tally with the graphics if your resolution is too high it wont work. In Xp (and I believe 7), you can set your resolution by going to control panel and display, finding the settings page and choosing a resolution with the list box. 800 by 600 or 1024 by 768 is what I would recommend and what should make smugglers 5 o at lest it did last time someone else had a similar issue. hth.

So, just as in real life arcades you have those bonus tickets you earn from machines and can save up for a prize, well how about having some prizes in beatstar? (and I mean some better deals than 100 bonus tickets for a pack of chewing gum).Just like people submit packs now, why not let people submit prizes. each prize would essentially be two sound files, one giving the name of the prize, one giving a short soundclip or movie. Each prize would need to be bought w
 ith coins like a soundpack before it could be unlocked, and prizes would be expensive, like about 25 k coins each.Once you had a prize, you could go to a prize cabinet option to listen to the short soundclip or movie. Essentially prizes would be rewards just there for bling value, but hay when were talking arcades and games, whats up with a bit of bling? and of course youd still need to decide whether that killer prize with its short movie was more worthwhile than another soundpack for beatstar or unlocking all the minigames (indeed I dont expect people would go for prizes until later in their careers). Prizes would not be achievement trophies for getting onto scoreboadrs, scoring x in a row in beatstar or memory or one of the other games, or playing beatstar 900 times. Such things would be fun of course, but not specifically a coin sink as I imagine the prizes to be.

I agree with roelvdwal but with one qualification.Getting off XP is good advice, but if you *must* continue to use XP for any reason I highly recommend only using it inside a VM with lock down security.Ideally Windows XP should only play inside the VM, and all potentially leaking VM features like folder sharing should be disabled, and the virtual OS should be set to nonpersistent so that everything is reset after each restart.

That is why I am interested in Malware bytes, particularly sinse it got rid of that annoying addware very well, indeed even if it does not do viruses I might keep it as a spyware and addware protector.

the way things are, windows is a bit buggy to use, the soundcard support is notoriously bad due only to its lack of proper ability to emulate. it likes to glitch sometimes. upon an exit of windows it crashes, I tried to install keynote gold; it crashed; tried to install an ancient asaw version I had; it crashed epically; tried to install software window bridge; it crashed. dosbox does not! like win 3.11 with speech.

Well, the good news is that Ill probably be releasing a simpler 2D library for BGT, since geom is complex, the documentation is hard to read, and transformations/polygon collision dont always work correctly.I want to use this in a game with less flat terrain than we generally have in Audio Games, though, for which Im running up on some confusion.What I have so far works with rectangles, convex polygons, and regular stars. I can add circles easily enough.What I need to be able to do is, when one object (lets call it Object A) collides with another object (call it Object B), determine if Object A is landing on an up-facing section of Object B.(Bonus points for a solution that works when up is relative to Object A, enabling loops and running up walls and junk.)Lets use the example of the player (with a rectangular bounds, for simplicitys sake) hitting a cliff (represented by a scalene triangle). If the p
 layer hits the left side of the cliff from above, or from another surface that touches the bottom corner, they walk on the incline.If the player lands on top of the cliff, its a flat surface, so all we care about is if were on the correct side of the line.If the player hits the right side, theyre coming at it from below. Unless theres some interesting inclines under the cliff, theres no way theyre walking there.If the cliff is floating in mid air, though, its possible to hit that bottom left corner from a bad angle.For that matter, the right corner of the cliff is exposed, so we need to distinguish between landing on it from above, and bumping into it from some other angle.This all makes wonderful sense verbally, but Im kinda confused on how to get a computer to do it.Just using tiles with solidity and angles would be much simpler, Im sure.  ure I can use that model anymore, though.(For that matter, Ill probably want to modify sound_pool to support arbitrary shapes instead of just rectangles. Andres BTSync folder at the time of this post is around 5.1 gig and gets updates, usually a few times a week.Thats only harry potter though.Theres another one that I help with thats not as large but is more organised.If you want to read only completed stories or series, then Id go with the smaller folder.I have a feeling that this folder has the stories with the irritating author notes between chapters.I know Andres does, which is why its slowly being worked on, but with one or two people working on it, its going to take a long time.
