Musicians collaborators corner Hello ladies and gentlemen. 2019 was a difficult year I would like to keep in my rare view, So going forward and focusing in on 2020 I would like to do a lot more production as I planned for this year, especially when it comes to collaborations and team ups with individuals or groups. I have reached out in the sighted community and have lined up some interesting collaborations and team ups with the sighted folk. So I thought why not reach out to the community on here and see what we can cook up as well. With myself or each other. I will still try and fit in some lessons for those producers that are starting off on Reaper whenever I can squeeze you in, unfortunately it might not be as much as I have for the last six months of trying to help out. I hope others will step up and guide the future generation into getting started with production. So let’s get back to the main point of my post. If any artist or musicians Are interested in doing any form of collaboration either with myself or others please don’t be shy and reach out. I know there are a lot of talented singers, writers, producers, composers, engineers, rappers, poets, and some bad ass instrument players in this community. No matter what genre of music you are interested in don’t be shy and reach out as you never know what could be. About your Xbox X question, The new Xbox X is a lot quieter than the original with its liquid cooling . And about the ring doorbell, they are very handy and convenient for those households that don’t have a intercom to see who is at your property.. this is what I mainly use it for which is a intercom that you can answer no matter where you are in the world as long as you have a Internet connection. You can set up multiple people to be alerted when somebody is at your property or there is motion at your front door. So once somebody rings the doorbell I will be alerted on my phone with a notification, and then I will open the application where I will be confronted with a video with two buttons on either side one which is to activate the outside microphone so I can listen to it through my device of choice, and the second one is to enable the microphone on my device to speak to the person outside the property. The only thing you will have to check is if you still receive full Wi-Fi range when you are standing outside your front door. As the device runs off your internal Wi-Fi at all times. Re: Guides on Getting Started with Reaper and Komplete kontrol When I first set up my S 49 I have some issues loading up expansions and sounds. After hours of troubleshooting it myself I came to the conclusion that it was due to not owning all the necessary plug-ins to play these expansions or sounds. For me The errors were caused by me not owning and having battery for installed, which caused several errors when I went to load expansions and sounds. What you need to do is launch each native instruments plug-in as a standalone without loading your DAW, if they do not automatically scan please go to tools and manually scan your libraries. Once that is done with every native instruments plug-in you have installed launch your DAW, and insert a complete control plug-in instant And now you can press the browse button on your keyboard to explore your sounds. I have the Amazon fire 10-in tablet and I think it is pretty decent even with its built-in voice narrator.I am using it as we speak to make this post and using dictation to type. I have also put on Google play store on the device. you have to take them for what they are cheap devices that will do a decent job mainly for listening and watching media and a casual browsing experience. I have been recently looking into recording myself and have found open broadcast Studio very accessible and handy , Especially when I figured out how to enable my desktop and microphone to be recorded at the same time . As it records the desktops display and sounds . I have noticed a lot of YouTubers using studio monitor headphones which are normally associated with producers and engineers like the M40 & M50 I own both of these headsets along with a couple others for producing. They are very decent for the price and have a good sound to them . I also have a pair of turtle beach stealth 600s for my Xbox and work on PC. Once you open up the templates pick the instruments that you want to edit and press control plus left arrow and it should highlight the midi file, then you should press control plus E key & it will open up the MIDI piano roll. Being 6ft 11 & mix race, I became something they could take off the bucket list Hahaha. In all honesty when I think about it now it was good fun for myself but I know others think differently . I have met some random women that I will never forget from my experience.Like being randomly approached by women because they recognise you of one of the dating sites, they were the most awkward situations I have been in and didn't know how to react on the spot. But I am getting older now hitting my 30s and got to get a lot more serious About long-term relationships and starting a family . Being a disabled male is not easy when the chips are stacked up against us. But you have to stay strong and positive and hopefully one day you will find Mr or Mrs right . If it is only off by a little bit you can go into the midi editor and select all to quantize. But the latency can be caused by the devices you are using to record. As somebody mentioned above the spinning bezel they call the gear is very therapeutic to spin lol. I charged mine every 3 days that includes a good amount of use making calls playing music doing workouts Etc.Also loving how easy and accessible it is to change their watch bands to whatever you like which is compatible, I think I went a bit overboard with the watch bands as I have multiple colours in silicone and multiple coloured metal bracelets.You can compliments any colour watch band you pick by selecting one of the thousands of different watch faces, which can give it a feel & look of a new watch.only problem I have had with the watch is certain apps don't want to work while accessibility is turned on and wish it had Google assistant.P. Re: Socializing Sorry I was bubbling on and my phone will not let me continue in the post above.My points was what I have come to realise is people shouldn't be afraid to socialise online as you will end up spending more time talking to people in general online then you will be in real life it's just the way the world is going.It is funny I talk to my online friends more than I do my real life friends in general and it is the same for them.Socialising online is a good way to pick up life's cultural skills if you are fortunately not able to do it in real life. but I have found funny so far is that it is more difficult trying to integrate yourself and socialize with your peers that are visually impaired then it is to start a conversation with a non visually impaired person.From the posts in this topic I have come to the conclusion that I was fortunate in the way I grew up of being a social person in general which people tend to levitate towards my calm aura which I was recently informed about lol.The benefits of socializing and making online friends are that if I ever want to break out of my fortress of solitude I can just send them a message and go visit them wherever they are in the world. Re: Socializing I can totally relate with what everybody is saying above in this topic, most people in the world go through the same thing visually impaired disabled or regular folk.Since I lost my site it has been the opposite as everybody wants to talk to the mixed-race blind giants.when I had the vision I had no issues with this as I was The big friendly giant and very popular. Now things I used to brush off are starting to get irritating like people not knowing what personal space are and repeating the same questions like how tall are you and jokes in that nature.I used to be the social hub which connected most of my friends on a daily basis, where we would decide what to do for that day or week socialise game party or play some type of sports.the more I lost my sights the less sociable I got it seemed which a lot of people picked up on. I don't blame my friends for continuing on with their lives as everybody has their own problems and have their own path in life.Fortunately I was always a gamer and tend to always have games consoles around which led me to start playing them war as I was not able to go outside by myself anymore. Which opened me up to a whole new world they call online socialising. I think this happened at the right point of my life as it woke me back up and got me distracted from problems we come across in life as visually impaired people.It seems my social popularity carried across online and was brilliant for the moments but as always unfortunately everything has to come to a end. my vision was deteriorating over the years to the point now where I have none Unfortunatly once again I could no longer be the social hub of my online friends. Running across your video prove to me that it was still possible to do music production even when you think it is in possible. And just like that I was like a dog with a bone on the hunts for answers. And after a uphill battle I arrived to my destination with a big shiny door saying Reaper. That was at the beginning of the year and I have been learning and teaching myself to use my new surroundings and tools to Skeep the landscape I desire .
