I have the AKO-14901NTC thermocouple and need to install it. I’m not very
mechanical and
don’t know how to release or insert the wires from the thermocouple into part
number
AKO-13120/01.
Any help would be appreciated. I want my Brewtus up and running again.
Thanks,
Sherry

I had exactly the same problem yesterday. The solution for me was to
reset the temperature sensor on the brew boiler. There's a small red
button on top of the sensor for resetting. A cheap and easy solution to try
first!

Actually I believe that comes with a new sensor in the box so you should be

to go. If you install the new one, you will have to go through setup as the one

E1 code on the AKO-13120/01 PID thermostat means either a shorted or
an open circuit in the temp sensor on the brew boiler, so it has
nothing to do with the pressure stat, which is on the steam boiler
anyways.
Since you were still getting hot water out of your brew boiler, your
sensor likely

ooops, sorry - that is the part that you get when you buy WLLs PID
conversion kit - not the part for the AKO controller.

Thanks for the offer.
I had already ordered two probes from Canada. I replaced the original
probe this afternoon and it appears to have fixed the problem. Had to
source the goo from espressoparts separately.
Only compliant I have is with shipping, I requested second day fedex
and it was
considered it but wll was out of the
pid kit. anyway good luck with your repair.

I'm betting that your temp sensor is bad. The temp sensor is a
